The reviews were good so instead of another place we came here. It's 1:40pm on a Sunday. We were…read moregiven a brunch menu (very limited) thought about leaving so we could get a burger but decided since we have 8.5 hours left to drive we would just get something. Not 5 minutes after we place an order the table behind us gets a full menu, with burgers and sandwiches on it. Am I a bit PO'd.... YEP Also the waitress doesn't smile. She looks miserable, geez, at least make an effort! So I ordered chicken and waffles and my husband ordered a few wings. As for the food..... The chicken tenders are AAMazing! Waffle is good and the hubs like the ginger lime wings although a small side of sauce and a few celery and carrots would make a better presentation. But for the diamond in the rough. I can only assume it was the manager/owner that delivered our food. I asked why we had a limited menu as I read here on Yelp I should have the prime grilled cheese. This man offed it to me on the house now that is some great customer service. I had to decline bc we have such a long drive ahead of us but he hands down was so kind. So I'm going with 4 stars. To sum this up I would happily come back just bc of his kind service! As we were finishing up Doug the owner came by again and he is a great reason to visit this place. He definitely has a heart for customer service!! Thanks Doug

What looks like a nondescript bar with a modern twist is actually a goldmine of appetizers. My family of five descended upon the place today and we ordered a slew of appetizers. Let me tell you, it was a feast for the ages. The place was immaculate, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. I had a hard time choosing a favorite, but if I had to pick, it would be the Brussels sprouts and crab Rangoon dip, closely followed by the lime wings. We're all from different parts of town, but we'll definitely be back. It's a hidden gem worth discovering.

Beyond that it was a nightmare. The service was sooooo sloooooow. It took too long for the waitress to come take our food orders after we placed a drink order. People in service should know to pick up the pace when they see small children in a party. However, even if it had been just adults, there is no excuse to keep us waiting for ten minutes. And then the food took absolutely forever, at least half an hour. During the wait, I counted only four parties totaling 14 people in the entire place. It was so frustrating. When the food arrived, half of it was wrong. My daughter ordered a kid's cheeseburger; she received a burger with no cheese. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with caesar dressing on the side; I received a caesar salad with the dressing mixed in. I didn't send it back--no time to wait! The salad was merely lettuce, dressing, and "chicken." The meat was rubbery and stale-tasting. The pretzel bites were horrid; sort of ligh-textured and vaguely sweet, but saturated with oil, they tasted more like toasted chunks of brioche bread than real soft pretzels. The "beer cheese" was mercifully flavorless. My wife's fish sandwich was bland but okay. The french fries were delicious. See, I closed on a positive note.

I switched things up a bit though, wanting to be sure to give the place an opportunity to put its best food forward. The wife got the previously dry Guinness Burger and I asked the Manager on Duty for a recommendation.....what do you guys do best? His reply, as I'd heard from others, was the Reuben. The Guiness Burger was better. It was more along the lines of a juicy, home-grilled burger. The Guinness BBQ sauce should be allowed to spill from burger to the plate so you can dip the fries. The wife enjoyed the meal. The Reuben was very good, http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/B0aSdOQJxHwa-VxA3hzYgA?select=kjYdbYkherAVT1UCyu01Og. I make Reubens at home exactly the way I like them. Mine have more meat and sauerkraut on them. At $8.99, this improvement is suggested. Still, the marble rye was grilled perfectly, the cheese, Thousand Island dressing, kraut and corned beef were nicely mingled and the sandwich was plenty moist and hot when it arrived. I'd come back on a Wednesday for the Reuben as it appears to be the special at $5.99. That's a good deal. Plenty of people were also noshing on the AYCE crab legs. Not sure on the price, but at least 3 large tables thought they were reasonable. Weather permitted us to choose the outdoor deck, which is a very nice alternative. There is a bar and a half-dozen tables. Service appeared to be very attentive the night we were there. It's difficult to personally attest to the service, given a bit of extra attention. In summary, the Reuben and improved Guinness burger warrant pulling the place up at least a half-star, and the owner's sincere effort to win over his customers is worth a little too. This place does the bar/pub thing pretty good and I wouldn't cross it off my list.

What truly sets this place apart is the people. From the second I walk in the door, the bartenders make me feel welcome. They don't just serve drinks -- they remember my name, my drink order, and even what I like to eat. The owners and staff consistently make me, my friends, and my family feel like we belong there. Hoss, Josh, Tasha, Jimmy, Fred, and Mandy are hands down the best bartenders in the area. They're friendly, fast, and somehow manage to give you personal attention even when the bar is two or three deep. The service is always top notch -- even on the busiest nights, I still have a drink in my hand within minutes. That says everything about how well this place is run. And in the summer? The patio is the place to be. It's easily the best patio around -- great atmosphere, great crowd, and the BBQ is always a highlight. There's nothing better than sitting outside with friends, good food, and a cold drink. If you're looking for a spot with great energy, amazing staff, live music, DJ nights, and the best summer patio in town, this is it.
