I had initially only wanted a yard clean up, but they don't offer the one time service so I added on the 8-week mowing service. So happy with their work that that minor annoyance means nothing now. The crew did an amazing job on the clean up and they do an incredible job on the yard. They even skimmed our pool of all the things that blew in while they were working. Not only did they make the yard and bedding look incredible, they did it in an incredibly professional manner. I've been a customer for several years. The company's become more bureaucratic and risk averse, and less customer-oriented. They only do my area of town, which is a populous part of Irving, once a week. So if my day gets missed, they don't want to reschedule for a week. There are internal communication issues there, if you talk to one person, that might not get communicated to the scheduler, and your property gets missed, then they won't want to reschedule until next week on your day. It's all getting too inconvenient to stay with the company as a customer. Hope this helps current and prospective customers with decisions. read more

We had Zoysia sod installed in our back yard which has been a huge disappointment almost from the start. A pretty big expense obviously. When the lawn started to look worse and worse, we had to push and push for treatments that might help. The grass did improve temporarily after that. But was never right. Two and a half years later, while the grass was under Ryno's lawn care program the entire time we decided to terminate service and get rid of the Zoysia altogether. Complete waste of money, not to mention the concern for the grass all that time. We'd like our money back. read more

UPDATE- I have attatched a picture of the email sent that was exptremely rude and unprofessional, stating I had made one attempt to cancel my service when that was not the case, I had previously tried a few times and when they came that day, I called, left a voicemail and then called a few times a couple hours later because I had gotten no response via email, it had been about a month that I had given them to sort things out and get back to me and still so response, so I was finally done with it, and frustrated they were not allowing me to cancel my account. He says in the email I abused the phone system by calling multiple times, but I was not going to keep allowing them to ignore me. After seeing this review, Ryan, the owner, called me 5 times in a row (which was childish and unprofessional because he was upset?) while I was on the other line, when I answered he was extremely rude and said they called over and over because they were worried it was an emergency since I had called several times and left a voicemail. That was a lie, because he then went on to say he got my voicemail (which was me asking for the service to be canceled) and "appreciates the review and will be responding to it" and my account has been canceled (finally, after months of attempts to do this) so he was obviously trying to be a nuisance (how professional) if I would have known all I had to do to get them to respond was to write a review I would have a long time ago. He was so rude, and unprofessional, I literally couldn't even believe it. Especially since I had been so patient and nice with this situation for months, finally after months of trying to get ahold of them, I write this review, and they are rude to me? Worst customer service every, save your money, and your time and go with literally anyone else. He said the reason they are not able to respond today is because they were training, but today is not the first time I've had this issue, it has been an issue from the start, he also said this happened because they are always busy and on the phone. I hope they find a way to get some help with their customer service, answering phones, responding to voicemails and emails so customers don't have this problem anymore! Literally impossible to get ahold of, which is very frustrating. When I first signed up they said I could change my services on their website, but it says on their website in order to do that you have to call them to get a login, but that's impossible because they don't answer the phone or return voicemails, or emails! I havent needed my lawn mowed anymore and haven't been able to get ahold of them. I have tried emailing, with no response and also calling and no answer, it either just rings forever or I can sometimes get through to a voicemail, but no response to those either. If you have no reason to get ahold of them they do a great job. I just don't feel it's right to not be reachable, as a company that shouldn't be an issue for their paying customers to get ahold of them. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

We received a flyer from Ryno Lawn Care so I assumed they were staffed and ready to take on new business. I've chased them for two weeks, including sending pictures of our lawn, listing all services we required on the phone and followed up via email and phone to get the work done however, no return communication from them. Don't waste your time with this company. 04/05/2019- UPDATE. Following my review on Yelp, the owner contacted me and promptly came out to provide a quote. He was apologetic and was professional when I discussed my concerns with the disconnect between the front office promises and reality. I was pleased with the quote and the care he gave us therefore, we are going forward with a $2k project. I am impressed with the quality of their work, as well as the amount of time it took to complete such a major project. They scheduled the job and had the entire front and back yard completely resodded within about four hours. This included removing existing grass and completely tilling the ground and laying topsoil. The entire operation worked together like a well-oiled machine. We were home at the time and it was impressive to watch them work and to see the transformation of our yard. It looks amazing! They also sent many informative emails for lawncare including the watering schedule and suggested fertilization. I cancelled my service immediately. I literally walked outside and asked my neighbor's lawn company for a quote and he gave me a fair price below any of the prices listed above. I was a Ryno Customer for 3 years and the first year was ok. After we got past the first year, they started contracting my lawn to another company and everything went down hill. It seemed every week I was having to send another email saying they didn't finish my yard. After countless efforts to tell them that our backyard gate was either unlocked, or they could ring the doorbell to get in the back, I spent 10 minutes on one of the most unprofessional phone conversations of my life. It sounded like a kid on the other end of the line but maybe it was an adult, the lack of maturity shocked me. Their reasoning for not mowing the back was that "they have to go do alot of yards and (*essentially) don't have time to ring door bells." They told me to get a combination lock to give to 4 random contracted men, or to leave the gate unlocked. We don't feel comfortable leaving the gate unlocked because my wife and daughter are there, so his response was "gates and locks don't keep people out of your home". Touche my friend. Most unprofessional and worst company I have ever had to deal with. Also, this is my very first review and never thought I would have a company prompt me so much to write one. Cannot stress enough that this company was a nightmare from day one (I was the last of 4 neighbors to drop them) but I also just got quoted cheaper by a new company. Thank you. read more

Was looking for local yard clean up service to get a quote. This company does not answer phone. Answering machine says to not leave message but to leave online quote request. I did this, which involved me sending a message stating I was looking for a quote for leaf cleanup. Left my email address and phone number. The form also asks for address. No one called. No one emailed but they showed up at my house unannounced. Some guy looking like he was coming from a biker bar or heavy metal concert...again, unannounced. Very unprofessional and really stalkeish/creepy, to be honest. Really? You can't answer a phone, call back or respond to an email but can show up unannounced at my home? NOT COOL. read more

Overpriced for mediocre service. They spent a total of 20 minutes in two visits and I was charged $130 dollars. They didn't blow off the patio and walkways and my yard looks no better than before they got here. I found them hard to communicate with with no personalized service. DO NOT USE RYNO LAWN CARE FOR SOD INSTALLATION. My sod was put down early May - 70% looks fine, 30% is brown. Ryan came out and looked at it and said it was either my dogs or fungus - strange thing is, my dog and/or fungus created the problem(s) in a perfect rectangle, exactly the size of a piece of (obviously defective) sod.
