I was also with a friend whose ID works perfectly fine everywhere else, and they still claimed it was only "partially scanning." Instead of handling the situation professionally, they acted accusatory and dismissive the entire time. I completely understand needing to verify IDs, but there's a respectful way to do it. Being talked to like I was doing something illegal over a legitimate state-issued ID was embarrassing and unnecessary. Definitely left a bad impression.

I know other dispensaries like to take shots at Zips, accusing them of selling under cost to cut other retailers, which seems to be unfounded. The prices on established brands are on par with other area dispensaries, including sales. It's just that Zips will also offer the aforementioned "second tier" and upstarts, at entry level prices, other dispensaries don't even carry. I'm sure the option is there if others want to cater to both upscale and downmarket, but most choose to stay high end. I explained to her about my last not-so-lovely visit and she was horrified. This time around, there was no pushy sales tactics. I knew that I needed some topical balm (Dragon Balm) and she got me exactly what I needed. I asked her about some edibles and she suggested Swell brand fruit bursts (similar to Starburst fruit chews in taste, she said). I haven't tried them yet as I have a caregiver at my apartment and I don't want to be zoned out and scare her. LOL. I got a bit of a discount for giving Origins another try and I must say, Mina is a great salesperson and is more concerned with the customer's needs than pushing whatever "flavor of the week" silliness. I am definitely coming back here! Canna West is still not handicap-accessible and their attitude regarding accessibility is very backwards. Origins Cannabis, you have redeemed yourself in my opinion.
