Best sushi in the area. Super affordable. Server was extremely nice, place is pretty clean and feels warm and authentic. Definitely my new go-to for sushi.

Had a great first Izakaya experience in Arlington! It was fun to try different types of Yakitori Yakitori's are skewers with different type of means like chicken , veggies and sausage with house made sauce usually teriyaki flavor. We also got to try these : Drinks: Sangria Lady Geusha Yakitori: Sausage, Gizzard & chicken Thighs. Sushi: Tempura Shrimp roll, salmon and Eel sushi. Highly recommend going with an empty stomach! There is so many things to try. Go with multiple people or enjoy a quiet vibe as a date ! They also have a happy hour, would recommend! Very friendly service too. Taste was great, maybe a bit too much rice on sushi but loved the yalitori! @sallysemotion

Quite honestly, it's in a really shady area. But inside is nice and clean. Affordable prices, delicious food, great service!

Came on a weeknight for happy hour (Great happy hour deals: EVERY DAY from 4-8pm; all day on Sundays). $7 cocktails, $1 nigiri, and more. The fish quality is decent, good for the price. We enjoyed the ube fries. The cocktails were pretty good. The waitress was friendly, however, later in the night, folks were seated by the sushi bar, and we were the only ones in the other area so we had to find a staff member to get the bill. There are some specific parking spots in the Days Inn parking lot, next to the restaurant. Bathroom is located in the Days Inn, on the second floor.

So glad we found this cute spot. Great sushi selection, tasty Tai teas and exceptional service. We were blown away by the freshness of the food and nice ambiance. We shall return for dinner and enjoy their happy hour!

We came here before going to the Drafthouse Arlington and this place was such a great find. They have happy hour every day (even on weekends) and the HH menu is very broad. We got Ube fries, 5 different rolls of sushi, coconut shrimp, hot sake, and several other items that were all on the HH menu and very reasonable. Service was great, the food came out quick and was delicious, and we had a great time. We will definitely be coming back here especially when we go to Drafthouse again for another show!

My partner and I found this place to be delicious, cute/clean, and it had good service! We got both sushi and curry, and we preferred the sushi over the curry (although both were still good). It is slightly slightly pricier than our typical sushi spot - however, it was nice to go somewhere new and try it out. Definitely a spot to check out, and although we have our typical sushi spot still, we'll probably return here when we want another nice place to go to!

I've come back here another 2-3 times and while their $1 sushi/nigiri are still a good deal, I noticed they started using smaller pieces of fish. I still like the white tuna escolar, inari, surf clam, and tamago pieces though. Note this spicy tuna rolls don't seem to have mayo. Also their expanded happy hour specials from 4-7pm are good. We enjoyed the ube fries. The service was good, they came to take our order and any additional orders before happy hour ended. They were also able to split our bill.

Ordered dinner via doordash after seeing all the good reviews. Not sure if they're having an off day but won't be trying this place again. Salmon and salmon belly sashimi were not fresh. But had a very distinct funk. Alaskan roll and rainbow roll contained small amounts of fish inside and were stuffed with stale tempura flakes. The amount of tempura flakes inside the roll is very off putting.

Jo Sushi (front) & sushi assortment lunch (back)
    Shannon M.

Overall very good quality sushi and will continue to support this spot! The Jo sushi is good value since it comes with a toro scallion roll which I rarely see. Texture of rice is excellent. Part of a larger takeout order that included other yummy classic rolls (really good salmon skin roll and a spicy scallop roll not covered in kewpie mayo) The only strange thing is that this is the second time where the fish on at least 2-3 pieces have been sliced incorrectly (so with grain instead of against) which made it difficult to eat. See the yellowtail and darker tuna next to the surf clam.

Beef Gyoza, Hokkaido Roll, Jasmine Thai Green Tea
    Tamara D.

Very poor quality. Sushi consisted of mostly rice and had horrible texture and flavor. Gyoza was basic and was very small in portion size. I'm definitely not giving this restaurant another try.

Unexpectedly nice and upscale yet casual Japanese restaurant in south Arlington. Came for lunch in July 2024. *Food: All excellent given the price. They offer a $1 nigiri/sashimi deal (with some types costing $2-5 per piece). Excellent value given the price, as all the fish were fresh and flavorful. Also had the chicken karaage and skewers, both would recommend. *Service: Phenomenal. The waiter we had was incredibly attentive. Brought extra napkins when he saw our newborn spitting up. *Ambiance: Nice, clean, quiet, and cutely decorated.

This place has a REALLY great happy hour! $1 nigiri really can't be beat. I would order anything from the nigiri menu + the spicy tuna maki is a MUST try - rarely do I see places do a spicy roll thats *actually* spicy, so this was pleasantly surprising. Very worth dining here if you're in the Arlington area! Staff is really nice too. Their happy hour also recently extended to 4-8 pm every day + all day Sunday.

He walked me through the options and ordering was a breeze. The price point is a little higher than your average all you can eat dining experience, but well worth it. I must've had 15 pieces of nigiri. Having worked in a sushi restaurant I can tell you it was phenomenally well done. Beautifully fresh and buttery and the sushi rice was perfect. The eel kamameshi was a highlight and came with a showing amount of eel. Finished everything off with the matcha tiramisu and a cup of green tea. I won't need to eat for days. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Kay and team!

If I'm honest, whenever I…read moreshow up to an AYCE I'm always skeptical with the quality of the food, especially when it comes to sushi but wow, I was blown away how great it was for AYCE. The set- up and the ambiance is very comfortable and sleek/modern with the main sushi chefs in the middle and the tables around them. The tables have waiters and a tablet at the table like most hot pot/kbbq places and you can order everything off of there. I have only been here once and wanted to try to low tier without going "all in" on the top tier option of diamond without knowing how the basics would taste. Let me say if the bottom tier was as good as it was, I'm excited to come back to try the next tier! Anyway, the basic tier already comes with a lot of sushi options and should be enough for those who are craving just sushi. All of the cuts of nigiri was great, all tender with great flavor, but what stood out to me the most was actually the yellowtail, super buttery and great flavor. The eel was also a top choice! All the rolls were good basic to the fancier ones, I would say that most of the bang for the buck would be the nigiri. The rolls are good but a little too much rice for me personally. The appetizers, didn't spend too much time on them but the chicken karaage was solid and the seaweed salad was my two favorite. Overall, super solid for the price and I'd totally want to go again to try more of their options! 100% recommend!

Whenever I go, I always order off the most premium tier and while it is pricey at $98 per person, I believe that it is completely worth the money. For endless rounds of high quality wagyu, sushi, ramen, etc., it is beyond easy to get your money's worth here. I've actually done the math totaling up how much we ate and what it would've been al le carte and it totaled to $400-500 total for two people so this is well worth it. The items I would highly recommend is everything off their wagyu tier, the wagyu fried rice, and their specialty rolls. Don't forget to end the meal off with some dessert as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the matcha crepe cake. This place is very modern and with an amazing staff that is super attentive. Water cup was always filled, they came back quick to ask what we wanted next (no waiting around necessary), cooked our meat perfectly for us. Overall, while this wouldn't be my everyday/daily dining option due to the price, it is my most favorite place to splurge at for any special occasions. Toryumon wasn't crowded and there was inexpensive street parking close by. We quickly realized that Toryumon's all-you-can eat is head and shoulders above your usual Asian buffet restaurants for three reasons: your food is cooked to order, Toryumon has great recipes, and lastly, they use quality ingredients. Service was fabulous. Lots of options on the all-you-can eat memu. We started out with miso soup that was rich, delicious and had just the right amount of seaweed and finely diced tofu. The kanji salad was outstanding, the best I've ever come across. We loved the pork gyoza, ceviche and shumai. I also loved the beef hibachi, which came with vegetables, fried rice, and a most delicious dipping sauce. I'm not sure how they prepared it, but the endamame was especially tasty. The agu dashi was different than we expected. Usually it comes in broth, but Toryumon's agu dashi was fried tofu squares with an excellent dipping sauce. The spider and double spicy rolls were decent, but were shaped too large and in a little rough around the edges in appearance. Flavorwise, they were still good. We were a bit disappointed that they had run out of the chocolate and vanilla mochi dessert, but we settled for the matcha motchi which was good.

First off, if you miss the parking lot, it was a bit confusing so we ended up making a circle before finding the additional parking lot further before the restaurant, but we did end up parking in the lot next to the restaurant. Getting in and out of that space was not easy with that annoying red light right at the corner. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. Asked if we had reservations which we didn't but they did take a bit of time to seat us. Upon sitting down, we walked by the mini buffet of appetizers and desserts, along with the cooler of drinks. (The cooler was not cold, but held room temperature drinks, I had to ask for cups of ice which took a while) We sat and contemplated if we wanted to splurge on the higher package which we ended up doing any way because our neighbors who were also on a date and was there for the first time was testing the higher package also, so we went all out! There is a limit to how much you order and there is a 10 minute wait in-between each order and how many items you can order. Our server was very helpful and had walked us through the process. The cheesy lobster was so small, we ate it in one bite, and it's only one per table. The wagyu sandwiches were great, but lacked flavor. The creamy udon...was all cream. The best dish on the premium menu were the spoons of wagyu and toro, and the steamed clams in whatever broth. Shabu-Shabu with wagyu was okay. Broth flavor was decent, nothing overly memorable. I did like that it was all you can eat sushi and they had all you can eat Uni which is a plus, but you can tell the quality was not as great as expected. We didn't even bother with the rolls, since it would have limited us from the others, but then I wonder if we would have been better ordering the gazillion sushi roll options. They did great presentation-wise, but would I spend the money on the top package option? No. it was definitely a novelty dinner, something you try one time and say you've tried but maybe my expectations were high because of how I was sold on IG and TikTok. Even my boyfriend was upset with how I talked up the place. To top off the evening, I asked for matcha crepe cake and they brought me match cheesecake. I hate cheesecake. We did enjoy the hot sake! The place was busy and don't get me wrong, it's not horrible but I think I'm more upset for the price I paid for the quality I received. If the service wasn't decent, I would have given it less stars but maybe I came on a bad night and the Chefs were just not loving their cooking. Would I drive the hour and half to go back? Definitely not. I do hope they improve their quality and items. Just my experience here...

I cut mine before eating. At $6, they are pretty decent value. Lunch Special Salad - 8/10 I loved the carrot miso vinagraitte on the iceberg lettuce. The only thing that would have made it better would be a nice crunch (toasted sesame seeds/wonton crisps) Shrimp Tempura Roll - 7.5/10 This is an elevated tempura roll with orange roe and eel sauce. Very filling as far as sushi rolls go. Salmon/Mango/Avocado Roll - 5/10 The rice layer on this roll was paper thin and the salmon tasted flat and flavorless, instead of that rich, buttery taste that high quality fresh salmon should have. On this visit, I noticed that the fillings are generous here but the rice is sparse/underseasoned on vinegar. I'd love to better appreciate the fine balance of the ingredients.
