All together it was good service. Once the driver arrived he explained what was going to happen and got right to it. He was very nice and helpful and definitely helped calm my nerves. Service itself did not take long and I was good to go soon after. I also got advice about my other tires and potential needs my car has which I really appreciated. The only part of the service that could have improved was the arrival time. I called in at 5:30 and help arrived until 7. I was told I'd get help within 30 minutes and upon calling back I was told I'd have to wait another 30 minutes. I had to constantly call back in order to get ETAs and to ask the price since it wasn't initially stated. I spoke with Cody on the phone and got the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I understand that it takes time for the technicians to get to the locations, but I was never informed of how long it would take for them to arrive or even get a call to give me an eta. I have enough time to sit on hold with another road side service for 45 minutes wait for them to come jump my vehicle and leave before I got a call. When I called them back and spoke with Cody he argued with me and then hung up on me. All I wanted to know was if they were going to charge me, but Cody wanted to argue. Don't waist your time. He helped me push my car from a parking garage that wouldn't accommodate his wrecker's height, and then let me fill the car with fuel at a local station to see if that was the problem. They made me wait for more than hour next to the freeway only to get a call from a very rude woman who was trying to rip me off and then told me that my roadside coverage wasn't gonna good enough for them and she hanged up. My insurance company called S & R Towing when my car wouldn't start. One of their employees called me and asked me where my car was. I told him it was in my driveway and that we would have to push it down the driveway for the tow truck to access it. They called my insurance company and cancelled the service 60 minutes after I originally booked it. Now I got to wait for a different tow truck company because S&R Towing doesn't listen to their customers or care about their customers. Excellent job! I had Jeremy come out and tow my car after a horrific car accident on the 5 North through Oceanside. Needless to say my car couldn't start and will never start again. Jeremy was very helpful and reassuring and he moved the car all the way back to my home (in San Diego) and the whole thing was covered by my insurance (GEICO). Even after dealing with the HOA about the situation, I was correct in the matter and the representative was incorrect. The towing company, did not understand where I lived even though I told her multiple times on the phone. Apparently English is not their first language as they can't understand it. Right now there hasn't been any new incidents, but we have seen S&R Towing come a good 4-5 afters a car was caught on fire to two the vehicle away. After locking my keys in the car, Geico called these guys to come out. The service man's name was Louis. He was very quick and unlocked my car right away. However, his management/ dispatch was AWEFFFFFULLLL. I didn't have my wallet.... (I was at the beach) luckily I had my checkbook. However, they didn't want to take my check without my driver's license. After telling Louise that I could go home and call in with the info, his management still wouldn't take it. They told Louis he had to stay with me... which would have meant he had to follow me almost 15 miles home OR get the money from me somehow OR keep me there til it was paid. My insurance set me up with this company. I was worried that my car was too low with low profile tires/rims to be towed without a nick. Now the time of arrival was pretty right on in my case. So no issues there. But when the driver Ricky arrived, he admitted it was a difficult tow. Probably due to the type flat bed truck he had. But he improvised and was able to get the car on and off the top truck bed without a scratch. All in all I had a good experience with S&R. Driver beware, I paid S&R Towing to tow a vehicle to our mechanic on January 09, 2017. I just received my credit card statement and noticed that they charged my credit card $240.00 twice. $480 for a one way tow isn't what I Authorized over the phone, they specifically told me it was only $240.00. I just contacted my credit card company to dispute but they said it can take up to 6 weeks to refund my account. Never using this company again. read more

This company has been assigned to us today wove when we called AAA. They are the only provider who services our area through them. They do not have a battery service like AAA promotes (where they bring you a battery replacement), so it left us with the option of getting a jump or getting towed 20 miles. We opted to get jumped and the guy hooked up the cables incorrectly. We didn't know that at the time, but he said the battery could y be jumped and had to be towed. Fast forward to the next day and our mechanic asks which one of us tried to jump the battery. We say the two truck guy and he said he did it incorrectly and blew out a whole bunch of stuff to the tune of $176. We complained to AAA. Next time we need a two, S&R is still the only option via AAA. The new tow guy seems quite nice, but after confirming the mechanics address 4 times (once with AAA associate, twice with two separate calls FROM S&R dispatch in advance to confirm, and once with the actual driver) I get a call two hours later from a mechanic I've never heard of at a completely different shop on a completely different street than my mechanic. I call my mechanic and they say this shop is good, so we let them do the work. We go to pick up the truck later that day and the mechanic says, "thank goodness he left an invoice in the truck or else I'd have no idea who this vehicle belonged to." The tow truck driver not only dropped it off at the wrong shop, but then asked the mechanic if he was expecting it and when the mechanic said "no, he's never seen this vehicle before" the two truck driver STILL left the truck. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this company. Fortunately, I called and added roadside assistance much cheaper to my car insurance policy and have new and better options than AAA and S&R towing now. read more

On July 28th my gas gauge got stuck showing I had plenty of fuel but I didn't! I ran out of fuel on the 5 South near Camp Pendleton. I was stuck on the shoulder of the fast lane. I called several towing companies but they were all too busy and couldn't get to me for at least an hour and a half. I almost had given up when I called S & R towing. The girl that took my call was Professional & Courteous. She had a driver to me within 15 minutes. He was fantastic. Got my car gassed up. Made sure my car started up ok and I was on the road again.
