I've had my hair cut by Stacey a while back and i absolutely loved it (and her!) She did a great job and she was so fun to talk to. Forgot to take a photo though oops. Recently, I wanted to get my hair cut by her again but she gets booked so if you want your hair cut by her, book a good amount in advance!! Instead, I booked with Alice. Her english seems to be a little limited but I didn't mind at all, she was very kind and I just played her a video showing the haircut I wanted. I got a long layered haircut with some curtain bangs, and cost me $130. I only complain a little because I'm broke lol but otherwise I suppose it was worth it, because it's one of the better haircuts I've gotten in my life. Also, my hair was extremely long (butt length) but Alice handled it well and was also able to finish the haircut in about an hour. I had such an amazing experience at Salon Meraki and it was all due to the hairstylist named Alice! I decided I wanted a haircut, but not just any haircut, I wanted to cut my back-length hair into an almost pixie cut that ended under my ears. I was nervous at first because of the big change but Alice made me feel so comfortable! After my long time stylist (20+years) moved out of state, I was in a hair wasteland for years. I was going to supercuts for the cut and dyeing my grey hair myself, but honestly i was feeling kind of mangy. My last cut/style was more than a year ago! I called at 8am on a Saturday morning asking if this salon had any availability for a hair color appointment, and Alice was able to squeeze me in by 10am! I really appreciated their flexibility and communication to get me scheduled as soon as possible. I came in with an uneven balayage and a color that I didn't really like. Alice was able to fix it by evening out all the color and toning my hair to a color I loved!!! I left as a very happy customer :) The salon is very clean and chic. It felt like a luxury experience. I was in a hurry to find a salon that opens at 8am because I last minute decided to go through with an event. I found this place on Yelp and immediately booked for a few days later. It's inside a building next to the hot yoga and Yemen coffee place. It was hard to find the place so I was a little bit late but the owner met me at the door and she was really kind. She was really helpful because I didn't know what kind of cut and style I wanted! She worked really hard on my hair and I appreciated her efforts. Afterwards, she curled and braided my hair. The whole process took about 1.5 hours and it was $95 without tip. The salon is really cute inside and I loved how bright and clean it was. There were snacks that you can get in the front and there were a lot of chairs in the salon. Overall, I would recommend getting a haircut and style from this salon! I wasn't going to post anything but I can't get over how thin Alice left my hair. I only wanted a trim. I never asked for hair thinning nor agreed to it. There was definitely a language barrier too. I had to talk to the owner just to communicate about things. And she thinned my hair out so much and i feel like she did that to make her job easier because I had so much long, thick hair. I have no problem with the color, but 400 for highlights it's pretty high. I honestly wouldn't care about the price had she colored ALL of my hair but most of it ended up on the floor so I don't understand. I should've got a partial refund on the hair cut at least because now my hair is frizzy and paper thin. Mind you the last time I did my hair with color was 2 years ago! So tell me why it looks so damaged after one session here. Smh. Do yourself a favor and go with someone where there isn't a language barrier. She does good color. But definitely a NO on the hair cut. Love this salon! Stacy has been doing my hair for almost a year. I have terrible split ends so we usually just do trims every 3 months so try to stop the splitting but most recently I decided to do a big chop to make my hair healthy. Eddy the hair stylist was great, even during this time I even had my hair washed, even a quick scalp and neck massage. I have longer than mid back hair and chopped it about 4-5 inches. Yelped, called, and went in the same day for a haircut with Stacey. My hair was long and damaged, so i figured I'd cut off the ends but keep it somewhat curl-able. After Stacey cut off the ends to what I thought was perfect length, she said she thinks I could pull off even shorter, a chin length bob. A haircut i haven't had since i was in elementary.
