[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sometimes you'll get hairdressers that try to point out the flaws of your last cut, or things that need to be fixed, but Blue was very complimentary and sweet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After she blow dried my hair, I realized I should have asked for more to be trimmed off. I felt so guilty, but she was so kind and immediately offered to trim more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After she was done, it was perfect! PERM DID NOT TAKE -- MANAGEMENT BALMED MY "HAIR CANVAS" INSTEAD OF SERVICE!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm severely disappointed with my experience at Salon Technique in Fullerton.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went in for a spiral perm with clear reference photos and left with a result that did not match what was discussed and was assured was possible. Within weeks, the curl continued to fall out, and at this point there is very little curl remaining--even with styling products; what a loss of $460! [[HIGHLIGHT]]After multiple attempts to follow up with Pamela Coryell the owner and Piage their "perm specialists", I did not receive any timely responses from either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When Pamela did finally reply, my concerns were dismissed and the outcome was blamed on my "hair canvas", including claims that my ends were lightened and too porous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is simply not accurate--my hair is NOT colored, and I have had previous spiral perms which held well 8+ months and have matched the spiral perm look requested. To be certain I was not off my rocker, I had another salon in evaluate my hair that very same week I got the perm, and they confirmed the perm did not properly take, did not reflect what was asked for and they said I should be refunded. What's most disappointing is the lack of accountability from Salon Technique. Instead of acknowledging that the service fell short, the responsibility was redirected onto me the client! I requested multiples times for a refund and was denied and the only offer sent back was that I could return and re-perm little ares here and there with no promise that they would take! UNBELIEVABLE - I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. My experience says beware and do not go here. I expected professionalism and accountability, and unfortunately this salon does not hold to this level of professionalism. After moving to Orange County, I booked a consultation at Salon Techniques Fullerton after seeing Shelby's work online, which appeared to focus on blonde services. Additionally, after my hair was washed, there was still noticeable dye residue along my hairline and under my neck, which was not addressed. First off, what a stunning atmosphere. This place is literally on the corner of commonwealth and harbor of downtown so you constantly see a cool, bustling atmosphere outside. Plus, they provide a little coffee/tea bar on the side, so niceeeee! Booking was easy and smooth. This salon is nestled in the midst of downtown on the corner of the main streets! This salon is bright and airy! Tons of windows provide natural light! Very relaxing environment with music and drink stand to grab a coffee, tea or cold beverage! The service is also great! I've been going to Stephanie for six or so years! This was my first time going to her, so I didn't know what to expect, but she absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. Carmen is a true professional with over 25 years of experience, and it really shows in her work! She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and somehow made my hair even prettier than I imagined. (I asked for golden dimensional highlights and as you can tell she KILLED it!) It's in downtown Fullerton, so if you come during the daytime should be lots of parking, but nights will get busy. AMBIANCE: This salon is HUGE! Definitely 50+ chairs! They have a front desk (usually unoccupied). Sign in and then take a seat in their waiting area with water, coffee, tea, and a mini fridge wish a few other beverage options. Only about 4 stylists were in when I came during the weekday. Very empty. ARRIVAL TIME: 11:20am APPOINTMENT TIME: 11:30am SEEN BY: 11:35am LEFT BY: 12:50pm (1 hour 1 total service time) STYLIST (ROBIN): I came in for just TONER & HAIRCUT. My hair was initially done by another stylist, but she was unable to squeeze me in before I moved. They have a sign in sheet at the front, but I don't think anyone looks at it. Since I was a first time client I didn't know what she looked like or where her chair was so I followed the instructions at the front desk (sign in & wait in the waiting area), but if I didn't text her she would have never come to get me. Also just a random thing, while getting my hair washed/toned I'm used to the stylist moving the chairs feet thing. So unless I asked she wasn't going to do it for me and those 20 minutes waiting for the toner would've been uncomfortable! Upside: she gave one of THE BEST head massages & shampoo I've ever had!
