I wouldn't recommend getting your nails done here. I had to pay 70 dollars, 20 of which was for acrylic removal. I find that to be absolutely absurd it takes all of five minutes to remove the product. Who knew I would have to go buy my own dremel if I wanted to avoid that fee. I also got charged 10 dollars for a "design" even though my nails were painted a solid brown color. The "hard gel" that was used can be bought on Amazon and is already lifting 5 days after getting my nails done. Absolutely ridiculous. No hate to the tech, she was very nice but the products and pricing are disgusting. read more

Okay, it has been a month since my service. I didn't want to write the review upset so I did give it some time. This was my first time coming here. I got a hair treatment, facial, haircut and brows done. I was leaving to Texas for a week so I wanted to pamper myself. I want to say that the people that worked on on my services were amazing and sweet people. However.... the only service that I was happy about was my facial. I would never come back here to get my brows done. I left the salon with completely two different brow shapes. She messed up the "easier" brow and somehow managed to just give me two completely looking brows. Luckily I know how to fill them in, but it's now a task that I have to do everyday or I will look crazy. My haircut!! This pains me to say this because she was incredibly nice. But geez, did she mess up my hair and I have to wear it in a short ponytail every day. My hair was very long and I have a lot of it. I wanted it trimmed to my bra strap and lots of layers so my hair can have body and movement. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted and she completely missed the mark. When she was "done" she realized that my hair still looked like a blob. I told her that it was not enough layers. She refused to use the texturizing scissors , not sure why... Somehow more layers turned into cutting my hair shorter. So she cut my hair to my collar bone and now it's at the awkward growth phase length with still no layers or movement. I honestly expected more from a level 4 stylist. So now I have mismatched brows and a horrible haircut. My facial was great, and I appreciated the attention to detail. I would return for a facial however, I would not come back here for a haircut or to get my brows done. I also wanted to add, the girl at the front desk wanted to cancel one of my services when I arrived because the timing did not align. I had called numerous times to make sure that scheduling was good as I had added a service (eyebrows) a week prior. Apparently, someone overbooked someone idk. But instead of coming up with a win-win-win solution or strategy she wanted to cancel one of my appointments, a customers, instead of accommodating.... I told her to not cancel my appointment and that I would wait. I waited no more 10 minutes, everything was fine! It was definitely not a great first impression at this salon... read more

I had a facial with Charlee. It was a wonderful and relaxing visit. She made me feel comfortable immediately. The bed was heated which I personally loved. Charlee has a firm yet gentle touch. She knows a lot about skin conditions, and was able to give me a lot of helpful information. I highly recommend her! The staff at the front desk are wonderful as well. Friendly and professional. Very limited parking. After having to circle the town square and the whole block a couple of times, I had to park at the square and walk to the salon. By the time I was screened at the door and seated in the chair, I was advised that I was 15 min late and my services would be limited accordingly. When I mentioned in conversation that I am a RN, I felt like I was put on the defensive in regards to the coronavirus. Stylist's attitude changed, I was asked if I've taken care of any Covid-19 patients, and I had to actually defend my knowledge of infection control and PPE. She said "well...we can't refuse services to healthcare workers...". But you wish you could? Way to make your client feel welcome! Blow-dry services not being provided...everyone walking out of the salon looking like homeless people who had just washed their hair in the gas station bathroom sink. Stylist said "yeah we can't blow dry anyone because of the time it is taking us to sanitize between each appointment and we can't run late." I was asked if I'd not been notified of this on the phone? No, I scheduled my appointment online. The "what we are doing to keep you safe" email I received after scheduling stated (and I quote): "Increase hours of operation to allow for social distancing guidelines and time for advanced sanitation." No mention that client services would also be limited. I didn't ask when I paid for my "limited" services, but I am certain the total cost was NOT limited to the actual services provided. I was always assigned a "Level 1" stylist meaning that I never received a good hair cut much less one that was worth $40+. I visited this place 3 times. Twice, I wound up touching up my own hair at home, and the final time I'd received a chop job and switched to Charlotte Hall's Hair Company where Alexis helped control the damage. Although I'd requested specific stylists who were listed above "Level 1" on their site, they weren't available for my appointments. This place will waste your time and money. Don't bother. read more

A friend and a colleague both recommended S-Kape to me when I first moved to the area and I haven't gone anywhere else since. The price is about what I expect from an up-scale salon. Comparable to prices you'd pay in a metropolitan area for quality comparable to a metropolitan salon. The staff are always very professional, warm and friendly and the atmosphere is always upbeat. Salon guests are offered a beverage (water, tea, coffee, beer and wine) to make your visit comfortable. The conversation is friendly and the staff are very knowledgeable. They can answer any questions about any services they offer and constantly attend training sessions to keep up with new techniques and trends. I went here to get my hair cut and colored by Sandy. The cut was fine, but the color was awful and not at all what I had asked for. I called back a few days later in tears because it was so bad. My schedule at the time was absolutely insane and it had taken several months just to find the time to go in. The owner returned my call and was very rude and accused me of trying to get a free haircut. I told her I just wanted it fixed. After a long conversation she told me to come in and that she personally would fix it. I went in and she had someone else do it and she also did a crappy job on the color. read more

I am really picky about who I let touch my hair. It's really weird texture and there is a lot of it. Most places will quote me a price , start and do not finish or way over charge and complain about it. Well GIA not only did an amazing job on my hair but she was super professional the whole time. She talked to me about what I wanted and was honest about what would look best. She took her time touching and looking at my hair before starting. We cut a bunch off, colored and styled it and I couldn't be happier. Being a mom to a three year old and newborn I needed a change. I will not see anyone else after the amazing job Gia did. Yesterday was my first time at the salon and I will definitely be going back. The prices are very reasonable, comfortable environment and my stylist Laura was great. All of the stylists seemed very friendly but I didn't give 5 stars because the receptionist was anything but. Couldn't get a smile out of her even after repeatedly smiling at her. She may want to consider a job not in customer service. Otherwise I give this place a big thumbs up. read more

Over the years, I haven't been able to get my hair color quite right. Tried S-Kape and they nailed it! Love my color and gorgeous highlights. Husband is happy and so am I. No one else will color my hair except here. Nice ambience, always called by name at the door, offered a cup of coffee, loads of hair product choices. A teeny bit pricey, but it is well worth it. I needed an EMERGECY root touch up for a last minute event and my regular stylist, Cindy was out. When I called the receptionist at S-KAPE, she worked dilgently to get me in with another stylilst. I never felt squeezed in or rushed at all, in fact, everyone was very accomodating and friendly.
