We chose to have our living room and bedroom cleaned, and when I asked for a quote online through their website, I heard back via e-mail the same afternoon. Two days later, we were able to book an available appointment time and we appreciated the 2-4pm window (rather than the 8am-5pm window internet providers give). Even better, we received a text heads-up when they were on their way. Before Roger even rang the doorbell, he had all of the equipment from the S.W.A.T. van unloaded and ready to go! I showed him the rooms we were hoping to clean, and I apologized for the section of carpet in the corner of our bedroom that our dog had destroyed by scratching/digging a "bed". He said, "If you're interested, this is something we could repair in the future- up to you." (we just may do that!) Afterwards, Roger went straight to work and our carpets now look better than when we moved in! We'll absolutely be calling them in the future :) read more

We accidentally had paint spilled on our hardwood kitchen floor. We cleaned up as much as we could and then hired Swat Cleaning to finish the rest. He came at the desired data and time and worked hard for 7+ hours by hand cleaning the remaining paint off the hardwood floor. He did a great job and we appreciate the hard work. Although this was an unusual job to remove dried on paint, Swat Cleaning researched the appropriate cleaning solution and executed the job. This company did totally unsatisfactory work cleaning my carpets. Were they dirty? Absolutely, which is why I hired them. I have dogs. When I complained and asked for a partial refund, they said that I hadn't vacuumed and cleaned the carpets before they got there. (I hadn't. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to clean the carpets before the carpet cleaners got there. ) There was a 3" band around the perimeter of the room that was left untouched. (I have pictures. ) The job was unbelievably shoddy at best. I had to hire another company to redo SWAT's work. The new company just shook their heads when seeing the lousy job SWAT had done. BTW, the carpets looked like new when the second cleaner finished. (I have pictures of their end result also. ) I definitely would not recommend. read more

So I'm torn writing this. I really like supporting local businesses as a first option before I go on to large companies. To start off, customer service with SWAT was real friendly. I saw their LivingSocial deal for 3 rooms and a hallway, and I called to inquire if they could still clean my carpet even though I was just a little outside of their service range. Without having to purchase through LivingSocial, they were more than happy to honor that price and come out to me. Scheduling was easy, and they came out the same day I called. Roger showed up around the expected time and was very personable to talk to. He was done within 50 minutes or so, and his drying time estimate was right on the dot. I also showed him my small oriental carpet that my dog had an accident on. They do oriental rug cleanings back at the shop, so he offered to take it and call me back with a full estimate dependent on the scale of cleaning needed and schedule a drop off rug return. Up until that point, I was satisfied. Then things went downhill from there. After about a week, I hadn't heard back from SWAT, so I called to find out the status of my oriental rug. The woman who answered was really nice. We arranged for a Sunday morning dropoff at a set timeframe. Sunday timeframe, and no one showed up. I called SWAT and left a voicemail, alas, Sunday happens to be a day they're closed. A few hours later, I got a nice apologetic call stating that for some odd reason, the delivery dropoff was changed to between 5-7 PM. I was disappointed that this time change wasn't coordinated with me. Roger showed up, apologetic about the delay. When my oriental carpet was unrolled, it was warm and damp. I asked Roger if it had sat in storage soiled for a week, because the carpet felt like it was cleaned that same day. Roger uncomfortably stumbled in his answer, and couldn't give me clarity on when exactly the carpet had been cleaned. My carpet came back spotty...we laid it out to check, but I was concerned that it just didn't look the same. Roger assured me to give it a few days and to see if the coloring was just wet spots...and that he would only charge me if I was satisfied. Sadly, days later, my carpet hasn't been the same since. In fact, a dog pooped on it again, likely due to the fact that there were still olfactory remnants of dog feces that hadn't been cleaned out. Overall, the previous owners of the house didn't clean the carpet, so even after SWAT's fast cleaning, my carpets looked dingy again after a day or so once it dried. I'm sure based off the other glowing reviews left for this business, that this is not common, so I'll accept that I simply had dirty carpets to begin with and that a more thorough and extensive (expensive) deep clean will be needed from another company. I really wish SWAT the best. They're wonderful and sweet people to talk to, but I felt the lack of timely and clear communication as well as my oriental rug experience was what led me to write (with sad heart) this poor review. read more

We have had SWAT out several times over the last 4-5 years and each time they are courteous, careful and complete the job perfectly. On occasion we have requested last minute add-ons which they accommodate graciously. They also did this amazing carpet transplant replacing a Gatorade stained bedroom patch with one from a never used closet. I was skeptical, but the proof was in the pudding. I bought a Living Social deal for 3 rooms but only needed 2 rooms and my stairs done. They charged me an extra $30 for the stairs even though it was only 2 rooms. I called these guys for a few reasons. .. for one, they are close by. Two, they didn't have 5 stars but after reading all the reviews it seemed like most people where happy with service overall except some small details that wasn't an issue that I couldn't call for service. I called the Soto's and scheduled the appointment. They came on time, where very nice and cleaned my carpet really well! I have a pug so I asked to have them treat for the smell where he sleeps at. I have had SWAT out several times to clean our carpets. We have 9 children and, as you can imagine, our carpets take a beating and need cleaned regularly. SWAT is always very friendly on the phone calls when I am setting up service. Their prices are great. They are on time and do a great job. We also used them when we were putting our house on the market to try and sell. We scheduled them out to simply clean the carpets, but ended up having them do several repair jobs on carpet that had been inadvertently bleached. They are always accommodating and gracious when I add in last minute cleanings on top of what I originally schedule them out for. These folks came out in February to clean out carpets, after we bought a mattress that was so smelly that it permeated the carpet in that room. I still cannot believe what a good job they did - every morning when I walk into my home office, I'm reminded because I no longer have to look at stains in that carpet that I thought were there for good.
