Aloha taro was an ok for me.. kinda more towards milk flavor. Hubby loved it though. My 2nd favorite boba spot! I love their Nice Uncle MT. Taro/coconut smoothie isn't bad. Mines always has 0% sweetness, so I really can't say much how tasty the drinks I've tried, but I like them. Parking and traffic are just horrible there, especially during lunch hrs on weekdays. I recommend ordering before and just picking it up if you're not a fan of waiting. This is one of my favorite bubble tea places. I love the midnight tea. It has a brown sugar flavored tea with boba, cheese cap, and brûlée sugar on top. I go to the one in Kapolei and the one in Kalihi. They have a lot of different flavors and types of teas, smoothies and bubble teas. S7 isn't a well-known milk tea place compare to other milk tea places, however, it's a hidden gem! S7 is tucked away in Kingsgate Plaza, a small mall. I found this place because my friend recommended this place to me as the next boba place I needed to try. The shop is very extra and loves to do cute things. An example would be their take-out milk tea take out bag. The bag itself is like a wine bag, very high-quality bag. They pack the milt tea as if you are buying wine, they also give you the napkins in a cute napkin bag. Unlike other milk tea shops, in addition to having the "build your own milk tea" options, they have "packages" where they have milk tea with the topping already decided. I tried their Acai Milk tea ($4.75) and it was really good. It comes with black milk tea with boba and foam. Most places would charge you extra for each add on but at S7 it's all included in their drinks. I was really happy with their Acai Milk Tea, the tea flavor is really strong and the boba was cooked really well. The foam also complements the Milk Tea really well, it makes the milk tea really creamy. The milk tea is also more on the sweeter side, so I would recommend you to get one level down from what you usually get (75% to 25%). The shop is well kept, it's clean and the staff is really friendly. They also have games on the table, so you can chill with your friends here. The parking spaces are a little bit tight but if you can't find parking on the upper level, you can go down to the basement and there is usually parking on the bottom. Ughh I hate being the outlier, as ratings for S7-Icy Bubble is generally pretty positive. S7-Icy Bubble is located in the same shopping center as Jollibee at the corner of Dillingham and King, right by American Savings Bank. Parking sucks up top but there's ample parking spaces downstairs. The winged cups are super cute, as is the interior. I like the colorful swivel chairs in front of the counter. Despite all the cuteness, as I do love cuteness, I had to majorly knock off points for the tea itself. Luckily one of my friends had been there before and she warned us that their teas are very sweet. So that being said, I ordered my honey jasmine green tea with 50% sweetness, rather than my normal 75%. I'm sorry to say that knocked down points in my favor. Because even the 50% sweetness was way too sweet for me. The honey also didn't mix well with the tea. It's hard to explain, but it tasted layered in flavors. I also tried the nice uncle milk tea that my friends ordered at a 25% sweetness. Even that was very sweet. Unfortunately, with all the milk tea options in the area, I don't see myself coming back. Came here and gave them a second chance to make it better. The person who made my ice cream last time apologized since they were running low on ingredients and used a different base for the Thai ice cream rolls. Honestly should've just not sold it if you run out of the ingredients that are supposed to go into the ice cream rolls, but I will not complain if that is how you would like to run your establishment. We came right when they opened at 10:00 am because I hate crowds. This location is cute and much smaller than Pearl City. It's located right behind Jiffy Lube in the Kingsgate Plaza. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the inside was clean. It was a little warm inside, but I'm guessing it's because they just opened. I actually came for the gift card promo they had which is a really good deal! They double the amount of the gift card for just $1 more! (e.g. I got a $100 gift card for just $51!) The promo ends today (10/13/19) so be sure to get yours! They can only do $30, $50 or $100 in case you decide to go. The milk tea is good as usual. We got Honey Dew Milk Tea & Strawberry Milk Tea. There was these lovely smashed up chucks of strawberry that easily comes up the straw. Sooo amazing I want more. The lychee just adds a bit of sweetness so I recommend keeping this. The foam is like a soft cloud and I have to say it's melts and blends beautifully. M friends drink was the passion fruit and sometimes it can taste artificial but this drink had a slight yuzu taste to balance it out. My other friend finished his drink before us so I didn't get to try it but here's a picture. There menu is fun, different, and full of wonderful flavors. Their staff is just cute and friendly. The first location is in Pearl City and this one just opened up in Kalihi. It's located at the little shopping center where Jollibee is at Dillingham Blvd and King St. My cousin and I came here because we've been to the PC location and love their drinks but hated that it's so far from us (we live in Kalihi). Despite coming for boba, I ended up spending more money on animal shaped lamps, floral scented post-it notes, and other things I'd be more likely to buy in a drunken stupor at 3 AM off of wish.com than in a boba shop after work, than on boba. A friend told me that knick-knacks are a common sight in boba stores in China so, while I was taken aback a bit at the product selection, apparently it's, if anything, "authentic". The boba menu is extensive and includes smoothies, milk tea, juices, blended drinks and coffee. There are a number of drinks with fun, albeit ambiguous names. I decided to try the acai milk tea, something I had never encountered before, with boba. Although I often order my drinks without boba, to focus on the tea itself, I've found myself ordering some if I'm at a new place, just to see how it stacks up to other places I've tried. First, the boba here was pretty good--definitely belongs in the handful of shops, maybe four or five, whose boba was soft and chewy rather than more gelatinous. I prefer more of a dango/mochi texture than typical tapioca, and this met my expectations. They were nicely sweetened as well. The tea itself was very rich and, even at 75%, sweet enough to be decadent but not cloying. It didn't have a particularly strong acai taste, maybe moreso at the end (the flavoring might've settled or something), but it did have a nice, sort of fruity after taste. I think this was a good choice of drink, although I would definitely want to try their other, more creative options. The fact that many of the drinks, even with boba, cheese foam, and fruits mixed in, are under $5 is nothing short of magical in Hawaii, and that, perhaps, is reason alone to come. Don't get too caught up in the trinkets before you order, though. read more

I love going to the Pearl City location, so of course I was ECSTATIC about this location opening up!!! The customer service here is amazing! All of the workers are extremely nice and helpful. They even offered to put my photo on a free drink of my choice! This shop is located next to Jollibee's Kalihi, near the Dillingham Blvd entrance. Parking can get busy but there is additional underground parking (entrance next to Jiffy Lube). It's smaller than the Pearl City location, but cozy and cute. The cheese man is my favorite drink! I think it's such a smart merch concept b/c I'm so entertained browsing when I'm waiting for my order. I was pretty bummed with this location because the quality of my drinks were really sad. I tired their yogurt rice and Thai tea boba . The rice in the yogurt drink was honestly a let down because the rice was so hard, it tasted almost old. This is one of my new favorite boba places. The matcha cheese tea was awesome! It tasted like real matcha which was awesome (not the sweet ones that are half sugar like Starbucks). Also, they were able to print a design on the top of my drink. On top of this, the employees were super friendly and one even allowed me to airdrop the pic I wanted printed on my drink to her phone (because I didn't have the QR scanner) If you want a picture printed onto your drink, to make it easier for all parties, I definitely recommend you download a scanner app so you can easily send the picture to whatever software they are using. read more

Since these two locations are the same business I figured I would try one closer to home. Big mistake . This milk tea store is kinda like every other store that's in Honolulu nothing too different, I think they all taste really similar to each other. I only go here because of how convenient it is for me I can just walk there and it will only take at least 5 min to get there. It gets noisy when the kids come in exactly the high school students. They have board game on every single table. It is every friendly for kids and adults. Normally they are not busy but the table do get take over very quickly so it good to just get in and get out if you don't wanna be in a crowded area. Happy that there's finally a boba walking distance from Mayor Wrights! So convenient for me if I'm craving boba and in the area. They have a lot of unique drinks to offer. The one time I came, I ordered the Nice Uncle drink? I forgot the name of it but it had Uncle in the name. I opted for this because it allowed me to sample 3 toppings at once - azuki, pudding, and boba. The drink can easily be overpowered with sweetness because of all the toppings so I'd suggest asking for a lower sweetness level of the milk tea. I feel that S7's drinks are a little too sweet for my taste anyway, so that's something to keep in mind if you don't like things tooooo sweet. I've also tried the Aloha Taro drink and highly recommend that. I'd probably get that next time I come! I also really like the availability of games offered here and I think the logo and characters they've made for their brand is very cute. read more
