    Khao poon Nam gai

Ordered delivery on the khao poon Nam gai (red curry). My order was received hot & broth was good. I like my food a little salty so it's a good thing I had fish sauce to add. Mint in the picture is something I had on hand as well. There was plenty of quail eggs & chicken pieces which is a plus. Good food. Next time I want to try the stir fry udon noodles.

Instagram brought me here! Located inside Lenexa Public Market, Saap Saap Noodles is quite the eatery! I selected the Night Market Noodles: crispy roasted pork, belly, tangy garlic sauce, ramen noodles, and scallions. When I say I enjoyed every single bite, that's what I mean! The tangy garlic sauce was a true standout for me, really bringing the dish to life. The serving portions definitely matched the price, as there was enough for at least two servings, even if I ate it in one. Mind your business. Be sure to try out the guava sugarcane limeade, you'll want a second cup! Service was great! The Lenexa Public Market had plenty of seating both inside and outside!

The Night Market Noodles were one of the tastiest dishes that I have had all year. Loaded with crispy fried pork belly on a bed of ramen with veggies, nuts, sauces and spices that ranged from sweet to heat. At $22, it had better been delicious and it delivered on a grand scale. I will return for it again. My first time enjoying a Thai Tea also. Packed with potent black tea, milk and spices. As a Chai and Vietnamese coffee lover; Thai tea will be my new go to whenever it is available on menus. I hope Saap Saap can grow beyond a shared food court and bring their Lao/Thai offerings across the stateline for a closer location for me.

TL;DR: Was hoping for a little bit more--love to see more Lao food but the execution wasn't really there for this price point. My friends and I tried the Khao Poon Nam Gai, the Ribeye Rice Plate, and the Night Market Noodles. The Night Market Noodles were the standout, and if I were to come here again, that's definitely what I would get. It's savory and garlicky, but I'm not sure if it was worth $21 on its own. The portions for each dish weren't significant, and we spent $20+ per person but were still hungry afterward. The Khao Poon Nam Gai wasn't bad but it didn't pack the kind of punch I was hoping for. In general, the taste and toppings were thin, and I was hoping for more since I love this dish and hope to see it more often in KC. The Ribeye Rice Plate was well-seasoned but there just wasn't enough of it. Overall, was excited about the concept, but not worth coming back for me.

Located inside of the Lenexa Public Market, Saap Saap is a fun new addition! Bar seating if you want to sit close and sip drinks, otherwise it's easy to take to-go and eat at the large number of Public Market tables. I ordered the the chicken udon noodles mild and that was just the right level of spice for me- think Thai levels! It took about 7-8 minutes, not a bad wait time at all :) Can't wait to try more on their menu! LPM has a parking garage behind it or street parking, but it does generally involve walking a decent amount, elevators are available for your convenience.

Friendly staff and great Thai! Stopped by the Lenexa City Market today and stumbled upon this excellent surprise! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by two friendly staff members. I tried the Lemongrass pork rice plate and the Night Market Noodles. Omg they were both soooo good! I will definitely be back to try more!

Some friends and I stopped by during one of the Chiefs games for their special on margarita and wings and boy were we glad we did! To drink, we ordered the paloma, mekong margarita, phuket sunset, thai-garita and the guava sugarcane limeade. All the drinks were SO SO delicious! I had a sip of all of them and my favorites were probably the the phuket sunset and the guava sugarcane limeade. For the food we tried the ribeye rice plate, night market noodles, ribeye pad see udon, garlic noodles and the pho chicken wings. The ribeye was seasoned and cooked perfectly! I loved the udon noodles they used, it was nice and chewy. I really liked the flavor of the night market noodles and would have loved it even more if there was an udon option! For the wings, I wasn't really sure what to expect but WOW were they delicious. The wings were perfectly fried with just the right amount of pho flavors added to them. I can't wait to go back and tey the other dishes!

I went to Saap Saap excitedly after seeing their menu with so many things I'd like to try. We both got the red curry ribeye ramen with flat egg noodles and a nice curry broth. The noodles were definitely different and not ramen but went really well with the curry soup. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. I would love even more punch to the curry like ginger or chili spice, but it would be perfect for someone with a low spice tolerance. The public market is always a cool place to eat and I love the outdoor options for a nice day.

WTH. Where have I been. This is a new trendy food court in the Lenexa Public Market. The pork belly noodles caught my attention with garlic sauce "Night Market Ramen". The food is a little pricey, but totally worth it. They have Asian cooks (lol). It's not like other fast food Vietnamese Pho places, the quality and flavor is far better and unique. Definitely going to be back to try other dishes. The only suggestion I have is to add Iced Vietnamese Coffee.

Pretty good but probably better if you have it there (at least if you're getting pho)

The pad Thai noodles all stuck together and very little chicken for almost $20. The other dish had more meat (beef). But needed more veggies. We asked for medium heat and it looked like they just sprinkled powder heat on top so the heat was limited to some bites and other bites had none. Portions were fair, but won't be going to Pad Thai restaurant again with other better choices in the area. I'm

While the dishes are slightly more pricy , the taste and portion size makes it totally worth it! This was great for a family style meal. I always make sure to have a dinner here at least once when I visit home. The crispy garlic pork (medium spice) is a flavor bomb with the sweet and spicy soy sauce coating the battered pork - this is my non negotiable. Make sure to ask for a spice tray so you can add some sambal chili paste on the side! It's honestly more refreshing and brightens up the dishes more than it is spicy

For me the ambience - 5/5, food quality - 5/5, cleanliness - 5/5, service - 5/5, and I definitely think this restaurant deserves way more than the current Yelp rating. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with beautiful Christmas decorations adding fun holiday touch and a very clean space with good ambience. There was a TV playing down the hall showing beautiful visuals of Thailand and nice soothing music in the background. We were seated by a very sweet staff member, and for our appetizers - we just ordered two big bowls of Tom Kha soup - one with shrimp and another with chicken. For our main course, we shared a lemongrass stir fry which had pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, and lots of veggies. And for the dessert, we got the mango sticky rice topped with sweet coconut milk. The soups came in a huge portion and were really tasty. I just hope they could cut the chicken pieces in the chicken Tom Kha soup a little smaller since they were huge, but the shrimp were perfect. The stir fry tasted unique with the lemongrass, and all the meats were cooked well, and I really enjoyed it. Dessert - I felt the mango sticky rice pudding was a bit too sweet for me, but overall a great dish. We arrived around 5 PM and then saw that they were serving dinner on Saturday for the whole day. The staff also said that they would be open on Christmas Day and New Year's - incase we don't feel like cooking home and want to have delicious food :) After we were seated, I saw a lot of crowd coming in and one of the common dishes I observed them ordering were the spicy crab rangoons!! They are definitely on my must try list from here. I also saw that they had a few more specials running in December and saw that it includes a duck corn and bacon dumplings- leckerrr. Love that the pricing is better than the Thai restaurants around, giving you an upscale experience with great food for a manageable price. Parking isn't an issue because there is plenty available. I will be back to try more dishes and recommend everyone to visit and show them some love.
