What should have been a simple brake change turned into a 3 day nightmare…read more 8/13-- Brought my car to this location to get a brake inspection. Appointment had been made due to brakes making a sound when the brake was pressed. Les Schwab tells me both front and rear brakes need to be replaced, totaling $1400. According to the invoice provided to me, all 4 brake pads, rotors and calipers were replaced with new parts. & labor took about 5 hours. Drove home within city limits, no problems. 8/14-- My car starts shaking if I accelerated over 40 MPH. Had never done that before. Return the car to Les Schwab. They end up telling me ALL 4 tires were out of balance. Air Pressures were off as well. No idea how they let me drive off their lot without checking them, given they are a TIRE SHOP. Insane. They tell me all brakes look good anyway. 8/15-- On i-5 on the way to Portland, car starts shaking again and more violently as I accelerate. Only this time, it's shaking as I'm barely tapping the brakes as well. End up taking my car to the Tigard Les Schwab where they tell me that BOTH of my front rotors are not spinning. They tell me the calipers must have shot up. Can't really tell me why/how that happens if they installed new parts according to this Woodburn location on 8/13. All parts re-ordered and installed again. Completely unacceptable how this entire service was handled. If I paid $1400, I expect a good and thorough job done. Not some half-assed service. If I find out there was extensive damage to my car, I will be taking further action against this store. Save yourself the trouble & money!!! Safety is clearly not a priority at this place.
