Came here on a very nice Thursday evening with some friends & their dog. Service was good even though it got very busy. We enjoyed the outdoor patio for about 2 1/2 hours while catching up & having some drinks. I had two of the Oh Iris cocktail which was so refreshing. For food we shared some whipped feta & I had the Milanese sandwhich. It was a big portion & overall very good. Made for a great leftover lunch the next day. I love Mediterranean food so when I saw sabell's in east Nashville, I was excited to try this place. The photos I saw online looked amazing. Good patio and indoor seating. Love that there's a little lot for parking. We came on Sunday and it was during happy hour so margs were $6. My friend wanted to get the oysters and when they came out, I kinda doubted them because they were small, but wow it was delicious and fresh. Even better with the vinaigrette that came with it. We also got the mezze platter, which looks colorful and good, but it was all a little bland. Felt like blended chickpeas and cheese. I love hummus and this came with hummus, honey whipped feta, and garlic, which was a good spread, but I didn't love it. I have been trying to visit for a while now, today was the day. Their hours vary during the week. The best time to go for lunch is on Friday - Sunday (11:30a-10pm). Monday - Thursday they don't open until 4pm. Went in and was greeted immediately from a lady behind the bar. She was super friendly and sweet. She sat us and brought over menus and waters. Only one other couple was seated at the bar, so it was fairly empty during this time. They do have a happy hour for certain drafts, cocktail of the day, diner burger, and a couple of other things. Based off reviews I ended up going with the diner burger. Being a burger lover, it was only right I give it a try. I wouldn't call it a smash burger, but it was a thinner patty like patty. But very juicy and rich in flavor. The caramelized onions were the perfect addition along with the provolone cheese. Fries come with it but for an up-charge of $3 you can make the fries loaded or $5 to sub for Brussels. Overall I enjoyed my experience today here and would love to bring others along to give it a try as well. read more

Sabell's is a fun neighborhood public house. The parking lot can get full, extra parking is across the street. With the cold weather, inside seating is limited. However, the staff works hard to get as many as possible at tables as quickly as possible. Tshatshkes fill the place. Even the furnishing are great conversation pieces. The menu is bar food with Sabell's twist. Fries and fried brussels sprouts are totally worth it. Many of the dishes have Mediterranean flavor profiles. Sharing starters is very easy. I ordered a house burger (gotta have fries), it was good. In the future, I will go with a plate or a sandwich, more to my desire. Locals are so lucky to have a gathering place in Sabell's. read more

I give this four stars for the service and the fries. These fries are SO good. We even warmed them up the next day and they were better than most other fries than other restaurants. The other food was good for bar food. Maybe not fancy a date night out. They don't take reservations but the staff jumbled tables around for us and got a sat within 20 minutes. Ambiance was a bar with neat little figurines on the fireplace and other ledges. Will be back for fries and beers. read more

Welcome to the falafel of your dreams. Casual bar & Mediterranean eatery tucked into South Inglewood, Sabell's is becoming one of my favorite places for a casual hang with very good food. First thing to love: one of the few inexpensive places left for a great meal these days. Even if I get a drink or two with my food, these are high quality eats and drinks at almost unheard of prices (most entrees are $10-13, same with cocktails, beers are more inexpensive.) The falafel pita is THE item to get here and easily the best falafel in Nashville right now. They don't skimp on the herbs in the falafel batter and it's hot and crispy on the outside when delivered to you - just perfect. Lots of flavorful sauce options but my favorite is toum - a garlic whip concoction that adds a punch to any appetizer or sandwich. The mezze platter is a great way to try a lot of the favorite snacks on the menu and includes some tabbouleh, falafel, toum, hummus, and the whipped feta. My dad really loved the chicken souvlaki and I thought the diner burger really hit the spot on a cold night (with truly the world's most perfect, crispy fries!!) Great beer selection and entree and appetizer specials that rotates frequently. On a recent visit with my parents, my mom fell in love with a watermelon mint N/A drink that she immediately tried to recreate when we got home. Lovely patio for sitting with a big group of friends or your pup, and a small parking lot, making it super easy to find a spot. Great, attentive table service whether you are sitting inside or outside, which really puts this place over the top for me. I went here for happy hour and they have food and drink specials. I got the Diner Burger without cheese and fries for $12. It was pretty empty inside and I was immediately greeted. I asked for recommendations and the burger did not disappoint. Generous portion and it came out pretty quickly. I took mine to go and it was great, but the space is cozy and I will try eating inside and getting drinks next time! When it's warm, they also have a table in front and a patio area, so you can eat and drink outside. read more

The whipped feta had a honey drizzle with nuts, hummus had a nice flavor, and the noum...OMG. I could have eaten that by itself. It was delicious! The waitress said people either love it or hate it. If you don't love garlic, you will be in group 2 since it's whipped garlic with olive oil and lemon juice. I would recommend if you love Mediterranean. I'm an Inglewood, Nashville resident and put in a to-go order. The positives from the 5 minutes I was in the building are that it is a nice vibe and the employee who got my food was very nice. We ordered the Falafel, Beef Pita with Fries, Hummus plate and a salad. Don't get me wrong, I love my salt. But besides the salad, every one of the items were so intensely salty, it was inedible. Update on leftovers: I tried the leftovers the day after. I thought maybe my palate was off. It wasn't. Way too salty and over seasoned. I can't even taste beef from the pita. Falafel pita was pretty big & good - moist (sorry girls) but needed more Tzasiki so I asked the waiter and I was informed .50c (big turnoff) so I declined but he brought it anyway which was very nice. I don't like being nickel and dimed in a restaurant for condiments. It's sounds and looks petty & cheap from their side. I can more than afford it but it's the point of it. Maybe they can give a cup of it on the side and just charge me $10.50 or $11 for the sandwich instead of $10 rather than make me ask for something to help me enjoy a sandwich and nickel me ... my wife didn't love the chicken pita, I thought it was good however (I tasted it). The loaded fries came out looking amazing but were just shy of luke warm to cold - I always order CRISPY fries which they weren't and would have been nice and much better if they were hot and crispy under the loaded part so that dish was a bust but still ok. Sabell's has quickly become a favorite spot. Great food, incredible service, tasty drinks, and all around fabulous ambiance. We always have to start with the mezze plate with delicious falafel and dips. Their fries are maybe my favorite fries in the city. So flavorful and perfectly crispy. Every server we've had is always so friendly and helpful. House burger and stuffed pita are favorites, but LOVE their rotating soups when the weather gets cooler. Ordered the Mezze with add chicken. And honestly the flavors are there, they're delicious! Next time I will just add chicken and sub out pita for chicken cause that would make it worth the price for me personally. This plate was $23 and change which I think is crazy for store bought pita and some dip. The chicken was delicious to me tho, flavored perfect and went with the dips beautifully. Completely a great location as its new and fresh. Very cool repurposed 1930 bungalow that has been turned into a great bar/restaurant. The ambiance is open and friendly with a touch of East Nashville vibe. The food menu is small, but suitable for a place that has been open only 2 weeks. The owners of the business are former employees of Mitchell's Deli and located just across the street from Maxey Lane. We wish them all the best luck and much success in the future. we were here in october 2024 and thought the food was passable and the cocktails were not. however, the service was outstanding. we had our toddler with us. we were surprised to learn that no children are allowed after 6pm. this is advertised on the website but i didn't notice it on this yelp page. unfortunately, we were asked to leave, since we walked in at 6:02pm with our toddler. Of note, this rule was nowhere to be found on any of the display boards outside the restaurant, either. I have seen establishments that disallow children after 8 pm, but 6pm feels unnecessarily restrictive. read more

Absolutely fantastic food! The dishes are flavorful and the ambiance is creative and casual. The restaurant is nestled in a nice neighborhood area outside of the "tourist bubble" and well worth the visit. We had the nicest salad and Mezze, both were excellent, along with attentive and kind service. We found this on Yelp after a long trip from Orlando and we enjoyed every bit of it! read more
