The front of the restaurant

Sh*t was horrible.. the rice tastes like they accidentally put way too much water, and decided to just keep it so, they couldmake money off it.. it was so nasty! It tasted like mushy Quinoa... I asked for onions and jalapeños on the side.. The mother or grandmother just threw some shallots and jalapeños in the fryer for 1 min, took it out and put it in a togo container for me... Never again.. I don't like establishments that treat customers like that... my motto, if you wouldn't eat it (the way you're serving it), don't sell it to others!

Amazing food and amazing environment i overall LOVED this place!!!

I went there for my birthday dinner and I was surprised I had never noticed La Calle during all my…read moreoutings to Fells Point. The interior is very spacious and can host both large family/parties and smaller intimate diners. We shared a ceviche for an appetizer and it was fresh and the right amount of spicy. I ended up getting the chicken mole for my main and it was so deeply flavored and delicious. My boyfriend also enjoyed his vegetarian tamale which was served with a spicy roja sauce. Sterling our server was very sweet and attentive. They were so nice and brought out birthday dessert flan for me, candle and all. Would absolutely recommend La Calle in Fells Point to anyone looking for a nice intimate dinner or booking out a big party.

The house margaritas and El Diablo cocktails were fantastic. We split a few dishes: the queso fundido, which was fantastic, and the salmon ceviche was so soft and delicious. For my entree, I absolutely loved the enchiladas verdes, and my husband had the enchiladas rojas and loved them, too! Our friends had the soup and the quesadillas and had nothing but good things to say about them. Can't wait to come back!

cute neighbors spot with great mexican food!…read more my friend and i made a reservation for 8p on cinco de mayo -- we did not realize it was cinco de mayo until we were on our way over to the restaurant, and it was crazy packed. even with a reservation, we had to wait for a table. we were seated outside initially, despite our reservation for an inside table. we did request to move inside since it was cold and windy outside, and our waiter jose told us it would take 20 more minutes. we were at the restaurant for over an hour by the time we were finally seated inside. once inside, our orders were quickly taken, and the food came out quickly. at that point, we were starving -- coming here on cinco de mayo was a mistake. the food here is excellent. the tacos al pastor were some of the best tacos i've had. the pork was so juicy and flavorful. the drinks (horchata & jamaica) were also packed with flavor and tasted incredibly authentic. the elote was delicious as well, and i enjoyed how much pulpo/octopus was on the menu. there were so many other things i wanted to try! our waiter jose was also very sweet. he apologized for the delay in getting seated, and you could tell they were working really hard to get through the rush. i would not come back on cinco de mayo, but i would definitely recommend this spot for a casual dinner.
