Such a hidden gem in the Cleveland area! The decor of Sabor is eclectic and quirky in a way that really makes you feel like you're in Miami. The food is flavorful with hearty portions. We got a side of fries with our Cuban, which were probably frozen French fries from a grocery store. Though the fries were probably not worth it, but everything else definitely was!

Cafecito and tostones were a perfect treat. and the cafe is lovely and comfortable. Mariela was so thoughtful and kind and made the most perfect experience for me. Enjoy her creative artwork and Honduras roots in this special café.

The fact that I've never reviewed this place is a travesty considering how much I've come here. They have the best chicken empanadas in CLE, fight me. Apart from the awesome empanadas (with that pink sauce!), I get their maduros and a cafe con leche. I dream about all three when the craving hits. They do have a larger menu outside of that with some things they rotate in and out (including drinks!). Check their Facebook page for the most updated info. So do yourself a favor and give them a call to place your order. You'll thank me later.

Beef with Potato ($2.50) and the signature Cubana ($3)

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I found out about this restaurant originally through Yelp. I live about 20 mins away but it was worth the drive to visit. OWNER -- I chatted briefly with Mariella, the owner. She moved to Cleveland from Miami and has had her restaurant opened here for the last 4-5 years. She is originally from Honduras. EMPANADAS -- I bought the beef with potato empanada ($2.50) and the Signature Cubana ($3) which has beef, ham, cheese, and pickles in it. The beef with potato empanada was yummy and was my favourite. It is full of flavour. The signature cubana was equally delicious and this one will leave you more full or satisfied because it has 2 types of meat inside, beef and ham. So this is a heavier type of empanada. Both of these empanadas that I ordered did not have onions in them which I prefer since I hate onions. I highly recommend that you visit and support this local business. The empanadas are very reasonably priced and the customer service is warm and inviting. **** - 14/100 total reviews in 2021 - 433 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 19 January 2021

Crisp fresh tasting empanadas are a win for everyone. I had a tasty egg and tortilla dish which featured spot-on preparation and fresh high quality ingredients. This bright friendly and clean local gem of a restaurant is convenient to access from the highway and has parking. It was a 28 mile drive from my Firestone Park Akron home, according to GPS, but smooth and direct-- set your cruise control, crank up the music, and head on in! We ordered ahead and had a short wait despite a pretty long line. The restaurant is currently carry out only due to COVID, but this is exactly the sort of local business we need to band together to support. The hibiscus tea is crave worthy and everything travels well. Credit/debit minimum of 10 bucks applies.. that level is easily met with a sandwich and a coffee but if your appetite isn't that large at the moment cash and carry snacks available well under that minimum. Opens at noon.

This place is lovely to visit in the winter, when you're longing for warm weather. I stopped by today to get a couple empanadas and an horchata, while picking up another order. The staff were nice and the order was made in just 10 minutes. I'm surprised I hadn't been here before since it's been open for 4 years but now I know I'll definitely be back. I tried the choriqueso and the Buffalo chicken empanadas. Both were delicious; well seasoned and well portioned. I also tried the Honduran horchata. The chef makes it with lime peels throughout which gives it a unique spin on the traditional Central American drink. I'm finished all the items far too quickly which means I'll be back soon!

We drove up from pittsburgh for a quick weekend away from the grind and I stumbled on this place in my last minute googling for a lunch spot. I found a winner. This place lives up to the reviews. I mean it was great. The staff was friendly and they were understaffed -- the counter person was late or something according to the women who I think was the owner/chef. We tried a couple empanadas and a pork and rice dish. I love Caribbean cuisine and it was the first time my husband and daughter ever had it. Husband declared at one point "ok, I guess I love Caribbean food!" Lol (he is a picky eater even though he will never admit it). Very unassuming spot but I feel like it has to be a treasure for that area. We will definitely be back next time we are in town -- there are a few more things I want to try on the menu!

Colorful Cuban cuisine at its finest! My favorite spot for Cuban food. I have tried their Cuban sandwich, various empanadas, and also the pork trop chop bowl. All of them were amazing. For the Trop Chop, I mixed the magic sauce and salsa into the bowl and the results were wonderful. Please call in your order in advance as this is a smaller shop and they would have a hard time keeping up with a ton of walk-in customers. Every time I have called ahead, they had my food ready on time and checking out was a breeze. Oh and their Facebook page gives you an idea of the food and drinks they offer. I recommend showing up a little early to enjoy the comfortable and very colorful atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. Hmmm...I should see if they have Wi-Fi for my remote working days....

    Beautiful by the door!

I'm tight with the Cubano community here so I had to check this place out that I follow on Twitter. Parking lot is a challenge, no parking on the left mini mart side. Lucky Me got a spot in front. When I left I notice u can park on the street Ralph, alongside. Neat little Cafe, lots of Latin America style art hanging about. She is famous for this. I know the style bc I'm primos with Augusto. Super cute senorita waitressing & one busy gal cooking in the back. That's Mariela, So friendly! I came for the empanadas & that's what we're doing. Key west breakfast, beef & potato & la Cubana. Will three be too much I will accept the challenge. Plus a cafe con leche. Can't wait. I tried to bring my BFF vero but she's booked. Latin music playing. I'm liking the whole vibe. I hung out with my primos in Miami after our cruise & it feels like that. Driving around old Brooklyn I felt like the rookie on training day but I digress. PS don't listen to ur garmin just take 480 to state road. Jesus what a route she took me. I call her Helen. Ok 1st one the cubana empanada was great. Managed to stuff a Cuban sandwich into the med size dough. Loved it complete w pickles! #2 the key west breakfast smells wonderful when I cut in half. Fresh eggs in there ham. Now #3 beef the best one, ground beef potato some yellow seasoning I don't know what. I want to say turmeric? Bursting with flavors. I love this place. Cash only today the machine is bust. The small parking cleared now after lunch rush. Keep in mind for next time when I bring my primos! Muy bueno 5 stars for Cuban culture in CLE.

Not pictured - beef and chicken potato empanadas. They were too good they didn't even make it home. The interior is super cozy and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the empanadas, cuban sandwich and sweet plantains. Everything gets 5/5, it was all delicious. You need to go here !!

    Awesome decor with the wife.

Parma Heights is so far, guys. So so far... So after fangirling over the lush, girly decor and taking ALL the pictures ever, my 5 friends and I ordered at the counter a bougie drink and a plate of food each. There's abundant seating in this two story cafe so we found a table and waited between 5 and 10 minutes for it all to be ready. Despite my goal to stop spending money on beverages, I spent $8 on a regular sized iced decaf carrot cake latte with almond milk. Delicious and definitely instagrammable, but RIP to my money. I regret not taking the lovely glass it was served to me in, but my conscious kicked in and I didn't pilfer it. Haha! For dinner, I originally wanted to get a pizza but changed my mind last minute due to it being 90 degrees outside. So instead, I got an italian panini with a side of potato chips ($14). I don't like mayo so asked that be taken off. The only sauces they have are mayo, hot sauce, and horseradish mayo. I got the horseradish mayo on the side, but didn't really use it. I hope they can add mustard and ketchup to their sauce lineup in the future. All in all, I spent about $24. All 6 of us had very instagramable food and drinks. They looked better than they tasted for the most part. I liked my drink and panini but didn't love it, especially for the price. My friends lavender lemon loaf was gorgeous, but sadly dry. I love the look, like the menu, and wish Cafe Blanc wasn't so outrageously far away! I'd love to get brunch here with my gal pals! I wanna get one of their dessert crepes, please and thank you! I am giving Cafe Blanc 4.5 stars out of 5.

We all visited Cafe Blanc for the first time and loved our experience especially the large (free) parking lot. We sat on the 2nd level towards the back. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

So, there are 2 back sections. DRINKS -- They sell matcha, tea, and coffee. I ordered a cup of Storehouse black tea with honey ($4 price, I think). I think the employee added too much honey in my tea because my stomach started hurting a little so I couldn't finish it but that's okay. I later got a mug of warm water which helped soothe my stomach. The cup of tea though is quite expensive but I like to support local businesses (Storehouse Tea is a Cleveland business). The green part is a hard white chocolate shell, and inside were mousse, cake, and an apple puree with apple chunks. The inside was especially delightful, and both the mousse and cake were light and airy.
