Hidden Gem Alert! We love this place. We've been regulars at the Beach Boulevard location, totally unaware that another one had popped up in Jacksonville on Blanding within the past year. It's tucked away so well, we've probably driven past it a hundred times without noticing--don't make our mistake. If you're into ceviche, run here. It's insanely fresh and packed with flavor. But the real star for us? The Beef Tacu Tacu--a hearty rice dish smothered in tender beef and rich brown gravy that's basically comfort food on another level. The restaurant is spotless, and the staff are genuinely friendly without being fake or overbearing. Whether you're a ceviche enthusiast or just hungry for something awesome, this spot deserves a visit. Go check them out--you won't regret it.

My wife and I tried a new spot for dinner tonight. This quiet spot was empty at 5:45pm. We were seated right away. Drink orders were taken immediately. Then it happened, a steady stream of people came marching in, filling 1/2 the dining room . I will try anything once. I ordered a flight of ceviche called the " Trilogy of Ceviche ". My wife ordered a delicious looking salmon dish. Service was fantastic and so was the food. Oh and I can safely say that I like Ceviche. If you're feeling adventurous, but other members of your party are not so much they sell hamburgers.

Relaxed feelings as soon as you enter the door! To enhance it, the waitress immediately greets you with a smile! So many good things: great list of foods (variety containing hamburgers, fish, chicken, pork chops, & steak), a super list of beverages (Kola Champagne, wines, beers, fruity drinks, sodas, & more), and tasty desserts (flan, picarones, etc.)! To top it off, the decor is simple & beautiful!

Loma Saltado yum. I got the steak medium and it was perfect. Never had ceviche before and it was delicious. Will be back frequently. I MUST ADD both my husband and I commented later reflecting on the meal that the restaurant was SPOTLESS !!! No dust on lights or under the divider glass and the floor didn't feel greasy or sticky. This is a rarity lately due to labor costs having restaurants often struggling. I'll gladly pay more and wait longer to be served this hot delicious food by a fantastically pleasant server !! But honestly the cost was so reasonable. Next time I'm ordering a drink too !!

I've only been to this restaurant back when it was still Corner Bistro Wine Bar, and that was ok…read more According to Yelp archives, it was for Sunday Brunch. Now let's try this new concept here. We decided to sit at the bar and we were handed menus on IPads. Wow, this is different. We can't order on it but it was simply a digital menu. We ordered a few things. For drinks we got the Lula's Blue Pisco (Pisco, blue curacao, coconut cream, agave, like and coconut rum) and a Peruvian Prince (Peruvian Pisco, passionfruit liquor, peach Schnapps, lime, bitters). Both drinks were strong but the Blue Pisco was skrong. We both liked the taste. We later ordered a Mi Amor (7 misterios Mezcal, muddled watermelon, passionfruit, lime). Also strong and I'm not a watermelon person, but it was hard to not enjoy it. For apps, we got the Totstones Achorados (green plantains, mussels, tomatoes, onions, cilantro) and the Chicharron de Atun (seasoned bluefin tuna crackling, fresh housemade guac, fried jalapeno, cambray onion). The Chicharron surprised me as I didn't think the little fish rounds would be such a tasty snack. And the guac was really creamy, not salty. The tostones were impressive. My man said that normally they would be very dry but these weren't. The toppings on them, while not bringing a strong flavor, were cool and refreshing. For entrees, we got the Pulpo A La Parrilla (grilled octopus, fried potatoes, salad) and the Arroz Chaufa with Steak (white rice, eggs, chopped onions, chopped bell peppers, ginger, and sesame oil). The latter is a Peruvian version of Chinese fried rice. This was delicious! The flavors were much stronger and bolder and he could only eat half of it at this point. The rest was taken home and tasted just as good 2 days later. The octopus was great. I didn't think that I would also be getting part of the head with my meal but I was fine with that. I saw some people complain about their octopus being too chewy but I honestly will eat it anyway. I love it. The Peruvian corn that topped it was so sweet and delicious. The side of remoulade I used for everything on my plate as it was a great dipping sauce. We were too full to get dessert and threw in the napkins. The ladies waiting on all of us were so kind and took great care of us. This is definitely a place we will be returning to.

We ordered the fried tuna bites with the guac for our app and it was honestly the best thing we had all night, our meals were blah my snapper was fried extremely hard and beat up (reference photos) the first time had to have them remake it, the second attempt came out looking better but was still overcooked, and the rice was under cooked but plantains were cool. My friend ordered the PESCADO A LO MACHO(not pictured) and it was very bland needed some seasoning.

A friend of mine advised that he had eaten at El Rinconcito De Lima earlier in the week and…read moresuggested we go for lunch. I was in the mood for pho or ramen and really didn't want to go, but he insisted. As we approcahed the location, I was a bit turned off and starting giving my lunch partner the serious side eye. We walked by the food truck (kitchen), where we were greeted by the individuals cooking and into a small eating area. I was immediately impressed with how clean it looked and smelled. So my doubt eased and I proceeded to scan the menu. To my surprise, it was filled with many options and they all looked amazing. Having been an avid diner at Cerviche Jax, I was eager to see how El Rinconcito De Lima would compare. We decided on a few dishes for comparison's sake. The first were the empanadas. These are by far the best I have had. They were filled with seasoned beef and onions. Absolutely delish! We then had a ceviche-type cold soup that had quite the kick. It was like nothing I had tasted before. The dish was filled with red onions, fish and a tiger milk based broth that exploded with the tanginess of lime and added heat. The first taste had me puckering like a fish, but after getting used it, I found it to be really tasty. Next, we had the chicken. Nobody does Peruvian chicken like the people of Peru and this place did not disappoint. It was grilled and seasoned to perfection and extremely moist. Since, I originally had a desire for soup, I ordered the Parihuela, which was filled with calamari, shrimp, fish, mussels, onions, peppers and potatoes (or may yucca). It also included a side of rice, which would have gone great mixed with the soup. Move over gumbo! Amazing was the best word to describe this dish. My soup craving was completely satisfied. I even had enough to take home for leftovers. I have finally found a Peruvian restaurant I can go to for a delicious meal. Again, the atmosphere was a bit different; however, the food and music totally made up for it. I was also pleasantly surprised with the bill, which was relatively cheap for all of the food we ordered. I will most definitely visit this establishment again and suggest that you treat yourself to El Rinconcito De Lima's delicious cuisine.

We had a reservation and they sat us right away. Reservations are usually required since they get full real quick. The server was kind and explained the menu and meal service to us. We started with specialty cocktails. Everything is hand made and fresh. You can taste the difference. We got some appetizers. Personally, my favorite was the yucca with the trio of dipping sauces. Each sauce was better than the last, and I wanted to continue eating each one long after it was done. The octopus was delicate and melted in your mouth. The flavor combos in the volcano dish were so wonderful. It was like chips and dip. I was most excited for my meal. The pesto pasta with the hanger steak. EVERY.THING.WAS.AMAZING in this dish. I was savoring each bite. Getting sad when I was reaching the end. The pesto was packed with flavor. Creamy and aromatic. The hanger steak?! Oh boy... perfectly cooked. Juicy. Melted in your mouth. I wanted a lot more of that. What a great piece of meat. I was reallllly looking forward to dessert. And it did not disappoint! I got the s'mores dessert. I love s'mores everything. And this was an elevated s'mores like I never had before. The presentation was WOW. The smore was in a bag that they lit on fire at the table. The fire charred the marshmallow on top perfectly. The Carmel on top of the delegate shortbeard was melt in your mouth. Those shortbeard cookies were incredible. Buttery and crumbly. Perfect. The strawberry compote to mix with it was fresh and bursting with flavor. All the flavors melding together to light your taste buds on fire! I would LOVE to return and try some more items. We had a wonderful experience!
