    Shrimp empanadas (6 for $15)
    Shirley H.

I've had SaborCito a few times now, and I'm a little conflicted writing this review. The first few times I visited, the food was great. Extremely fresh shrimp empanadas, seafood tacos, and Aguachiles. However, the quality of food was disappointing this most recent time. We ordered a plate of 6 shrimp enchiladas ($15), and they did not taste fresh. I could even taste pieces of shell inside. Usually they are piping hot and juicy inside, but these tasted microwaved. Hopefully this was just an off night. They have a prime location next to CervezaCito in Santa Ana.

Came to Cerveza Cito to watch the fight about a week ago and wanted to try the food truck that was right outside. It definitely did not disappoint. The food was amazing and tasty with the michelada I had with it. I ordered a tostada de ceviche de camaron and the empanadas de camaron both super delicious and fresh. The green salsa was super spicy for me but still nice to have. The service was quick and easy, the only down fall is that you should bring cash before hand because it's a cash only place and if you don't have any you have to go to the atm inside the Cerveza Cito. It will have an additional charge. Overly I definitely enjoyed the food and it was nice to have my meal with a beer. The vibes were great and I like how you could bring your food inside of the location or eat it outside in the patio. If I'm ever here again I will be grabbing another tostada.

Ensenada Shrimp Tacos are delicious and the aguachile shrimp botana is so good. The atmosphere is very chill and the selection of beers is spot on

Amazing food! They're so accurate with times making it super convenient to know when you should walk back and pick up your order. The green sauce they use is super spicy (to me) but so delicious. I love that they pull up to cervezacito and just pair with their beers so well.

Food was piping hot and so flavorful The surprising star was the salsa verde cruda... so spicy!!!! And flavorful. My favorite taco was the shrimp. So delicious

This taco truck, food van, mobile diner is better than most sit down restaurants. Jairo and his crew run an impeccable business here. The whole truck always twinkles eerily. The staff turns out each order as quickly as humanly possible. The guest service remains consistently friendly and courteous. Each dish Sabor serves tastes savory from bite one to the final chomp. The tacos gobernador with cheese rank high on my shortlist of best shrimp tacos. I am not comfortable with discussing my feelings for the al pastor fries from Sabor Cito on a public forum. I do not want to exhaust myself crying happy tears at the moment. I am going to go look for a tissue.

The store front is easy to find as they have a large visible sign showing "CHURROS" near the street. The items can get pricey, as I recently picked up just an ice cream with churros and bag of churros which ended up at $20. There's a $1 charge on credit cards which also seems a bit like charging the customer on any business transaction. The location is a decent size so it could definitely fit groups and such. Unfortunately my visit did not really go well, as after ordering and receiving a buzzer to let us know when the order is complete, we waited for over 10 minutes to have other customers place orders after us and receive their orders before our buzzer went off. Eventually, one of the associates noticed we had been waiting for a while and came to us to ask if we had placed an order already. For some reason, the buzzer was not programmed to our order, and I ended up asking the cashier for my receipt to confirm that my order was placed. This was frustrating as we had originally entered the store as the only guests and 3 other parties had entered the store after us and received their orders before us. Fortunately, the associates closest to us near the pick up order section noticed that we had been waiting for an extended period of time and came out to ask what we had ordered to help us make our missing order. I have no idea how our order was missed but it was not a great experience to wait in a store with no AC (only the front doors propped open for ventilation) and there was no real apology for the mishap. However, we're very appreciative of some of the staff members noticing that we had been patiently waiting for our order.

I ordered the Al Pastor taco and it was tasty. Meaty, flavorful, and cooked well. The fresh veggie toppings and salsas were also great compliments as well. The horchata was a standard, good horchata. I will say the truck itself is placed at a pretty dark corner of the street with some transient people nearby. Just an observation, nothing to do with the food or service. The service was fast and everything went smoothly when ordering, this place takes card if you don't have any cash. I ordered 1 al pastor burrito, 3 lengue tacos, 1 pastor taco, 2 tripas, and 2 cabeza. The order took about 10 minutes to complete even though I was the only customer. The self service bar had everything you needed, 4 separate sauces, cilantro, onion, radish, cucumber, limes, and pickled onions, jalapenos, and habaneros. I took it to go to eat at home and after the 10 minute drive and walk into my apartment everything was still super hot and smelt amazing. The pastor is some of the best I've had in a while, super flavorful and juicy. The lengue was tender, the cabeza almost had a tallow flavor, and the tripas was crispy. All excellent choices in my book. The sauces were spicy, however, in a blind taste test I don't think I could distinguish between any of them. Visually they were distinct but the flavor profiles were all very similar. Still good salsas overall, but if you're a diehard verde vs roja kinda person there really wasn't a difference in my opinion. Definitely worth trying out, hard to stand out too much with the multitude of taco shops/trucks around, but a good choice overall. Al Pastor has to be the highlight of the meat choices. Also Tuesday they offer 1.50 on a select choice of meats. For 1 burrito and 8 tacos my order came out to a little over 33 with tax, good bang for your buck.

I was honestly surprised by the 2.9-star rating because the photos made the food look delicious, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Overall, I thought it was great. The meat was really good, very flavorful without being over-seasoned or overly salty. I love hibachi-style food, but a lot of places tend to go heavy on the soy sauce and other seasonings, which can make everything taste extremely salty. That wasn't the case here at all. The flavors were well balanced, and nothing tasted salty or overpowering. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, they were soft but not mushy and I liked that they used large pieces of broccoli instead of tiny chopped bits. The only thing I didn't love was the $6 upcharge for fried rice. All of the bowls and plates come with white rice by default, and while the base price of the bowls was fair enough that I still went ahead and ordered the fried rice, the price difference feels a little steep. It seems like they could charge a couple dollars more for the bowls and a couple dollars less for the fried rice instead, because a $6 increase just to put the rice on the grill and add some sauce feels a bit out of line. Other than that, though, the Service was fast and friendly, the food itself was really solid and definitely satisfied my hibachi craving. I'd definitely go back!
