This is the best food truck in Santa Ana, California. This is our favorite seafood spot. Located off Main Street in Downtown Santa Ana. It is always packed, but the food comes out fast. We got the Garlic Shrimp and Shrimp and Fries today. The food was really good. We normally get the fish tacos and shrimp ceviche or we get the shrimp cocktail which is outstanding. Look at my photos and you can see this is a popular spot. There were 2 trucks located 200 feet apart. One busy and one ....... Please remember it is cash only, no cards.

Bad service from kitchen and bad customer support I ask 3 times not to make my food spicy made me wait there for 20 minutes and they made the first spicy. I called them and they denied it. I'm posting a picture so the kitchen people can see the mistake and do not call customers liars

Been coming here for YEARS and never had a problem. Sad to see they can't even clean shrimp properly.

Shrimp empanadas, ostiones preparadas, fish ceviche.

Straight to business, the absolute best seafood truck I've been to. Let's rephrase that. The best seafood I've had this side of the border! My visits consist of $80 on me alone . I always order agua chiles, scallops, and a fish ceviche tostada to start with. I've been coming to this truck for over 15 years! Yeah it's a food truck and it's outdoor, standing room only. But these dudes are always in a good mood! Friendly service and attitudes are the normal here! I could really keep going and write 2 pages but it's nothing to what you'll taste yourself. Here's to 15 more years of great seafood!

    Bomb definitely coming back!

Fish tacos bomb Definitely coming back! First time coming here & it was so worth it! Also service was great.

My top spot for all things shrimp among the many great taco trucks in Santa Ana - the mecca of Mexican food in Orange County. After trying two of their signature tacos, I would easily put the Taco Al Governador (Shrimp and Cheese) on my short list of best shrimp tacos in town. The Taco Al Governador ($3) is served with warm, melted cheese layered on plump, juicy shrimp and grilled inside handmade tortillas that are pan-fried, then flatten in shape much like a quesadilla - accompanied with a spicy salsa verde with shredded cabbage and diced tomatoes on the side. Simple, delicious, perfect! The Taco de Marlin ($3), also served with melted cheese and prepared in the same fashion as the al governador. In my opinion, it is much better than the famed marlin taco served at Mariscos Mocorito in Orange. Just cooked, seasoned fish and warm, melted cheese on a soft, pan-fried, handmade tortilla - nothing else. Its combination of simplicity, textures and flavors cannot be beat. Taco Los Corales ($3), the Baja style fish taco. Fried battered fish on a soft tortilla shell, topped with shredded cabbage, tomatoes, light crema. Good but the batter mix was not as flaky nor was the fish as fresh as I would have hoped. The shrimp is clearly the best option. Taco Durango de Camaron ($3), if you like your taco on a deep fried, hard corn tortilla shell, this is the option for you. Seasoned, mashed shrimp inside a hard shell, topped with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes and a light swirl of crema. Simple, crunchy goodness. Tostada Camaron Cocido y Pulpo ($7), loads of freshly cooked shrimp and sliced octopus on two pieces of hard shelled, corn tortillas. Topped with diced tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. I loved to plump, surprising freshness of the two main ingredients and the portions. Usually a good option to test how fresh the seafood is. Nice and hearty here, worth the $7. Empanada ($2.50) Mashed shrimp filled inside a golden, crisp breaded shell. Served with a side of tartar sauce. Delicious! Shrimp is definitely their specialty but Los Corales also has a full-scale menu found at most sit-down mariscos restaurants, including fresh oysters, ceviche, ensaladas (salads), empanadas, shrimp cocktails, tostadas, tacos and Cajun style spicy shrimp bolsas (bag of cooked shrimp, corn and potato) ranging from mild to very spicy. They even serve beer and appear to make a mean Michelada. They offer chicken nuggets and fries, the usual non-seafood option found at many Mariscos location. NOTE: great service too?!?! Yelper Julie A. must have a thing for impatient, stoic looking food Nazis like the guy that always seem to handle the orders and the money. Be prepared to know what you want to order, expect an attitude and ask little questions. Nonetheless, some of the best shrimp tacos in town. The Taco Al Governador is a must-try! Closes at 7pm. CASH ONLY.

I love this place! The food is delicious and always fresh. I always get their shrimp ceviche tostada, tacos Gobernador, a fish taco, and half an order of shrimp empanadas. Their service is on point. Recommend!!

    Great fish tacos!

I made up my own taco crawl and started with this place. Arrived a tad before 7 (when they close) and there is still a line. I ordered fish tacos and shrimp and cheese tacos. No prices to be found. Tacos are $4 or 3 for $11. The fish tacos were fantastic! There are 4-5 pieces are perfectly battered and fried fish. It's on a single layer of tortilla (corn). Nice slaw. Perfect with their green salsa. My favorite was the shrimp and cheese. Pretty much a fried shrimp quesadilla. Nice and crispy on the outside. Once again, perfect with the salsa. Only thing was the wait time. About 20 minutes of cooking time. I would return!

I was just buying churros for me and my girlfriend, and I decided to get the bag of churros, which is two of them cut up, and then the Don Churro, like the large one. That is more than enough for two people for around $14. That's a lot of churro, and it was absolutely delicious with the condensed milk. I can see why people rave about this place. Definitely worth a visit if you are a big fan of churros. Just make sure to go on a walk after eating these heavy-ass churros.

The store front is easy to find as they have a large visible sign showing "CHURROS" near the street. The items can get pricey, as I recently picked up just an ice cream with churros and bag of churros which ended up at $20. There's a $1 charge on credit cards which also seems a bit like charging the customer on any business transaction. The location is a decent size so it could definitely fit groups and such. Unfortunately my visit did not really go well, as after ordering and receiving a buzzer to let us know when the order is complete, we waited for over 10 minutes to have other customers place orders after us and receive their orders before our buzzer went off. Eventually, one of the associates noticed we had been waiting for a while and came to us to ask if we had placed an order already. For some reason, the buzzer was not programmed to our order, and I ended up asking the cashier for my receipt to confirm that my order was placed. This was frustrating as we had originally entered the store as the only guests and 3 other parties had entered the store after us and received their orders before us. Fortunately, the associates closest to us near the pick up order section noticed that we had been waiting for an extended period of time and came out to ask what we had ordered to help us make our missing order. I have no idea how our order was missed but it was not a great experience to wait in a store with no AC (only the front doors propped open for ventilation) and there was no real apology for the mishap. However, we're very appreciative of some of the staff members noticing that we had been patiently waiting for our order.

It's hard to find a good Taco Tuesday but they do a great job helping the community and keeping the prices $1.50 for basic meats like pollo, asada, and al pastor. I personally love my lengua and this truck has some of the best I've tried! It is a bit pricier but definitely worth it given the taste/quality. A couple things about the condiments--green sauce is spicier than you think, red one is more of a salsa and not that hot. Radishes are unfortunately not very crunchy/juicy at this location so I don't get it as often as I would at other taco spots. If you're ever in a rush, they do phone orders AND DoorDash. I've done all the methods and quality stays up there each time! However, if you do wanna enjoy your tacos right after they're prepared, you can always sit at their tables next to the truck. They have quite a bit of dining space and I've never seen it too crowded to the point of having difficulty finding a spot to sit. In terms of finding the truck, you just need to turn into S Hathaway St. Very close to the train tracks. I park in any free space they have there, since the businesses are usually closed after 5pm (which is when the truck opens).

I was honestly surprised by the 2.9-star rating because the photos made the food look delicious, but I decided to give it a try anyway. Overall, I thought it was great. The meat was really good, very flavorful without being over-seasoned or overly salty. I love hibachi-style food, but a lot of places tend to go heavy on the soy sauce and other seasonings, which can make everything taste extremely salty. That wasn't the case here at all. The flavors were well balanced, and nothing tasted salty or overpowering. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, they were soft but not mushy and I liked that they used large pieces of broccoli instead of tiny chopped bits. The only thing I didn't love was the $6 upcharge for fried rice. All of the bowls and plates come with white rice by default, and while the base price of the bowls was fair enough that I still went ahead and ordered the fried rice, the price difference feels a little steep. It seems like they could charge a couple dollars more for the bowls and a couple dollars less for the fried rice instead, because a $6 increase just to put the rice on the grill and add some sauce feels a bit out of line. Other than that, though, the Service was fast and friendly, the food itself was really solid and definitely satisfied my hibachi craving. I'd definitely go back!
