This restaurant is downstairs in the hotel lobby towards the back. The service was great, atmosphere was beautiful. The food was good and the drinks were ok. If you stay at the hotel and you're a Marriot member you get two vouchers for a glass of wine and a $15 food voucher only if you bill your food to your room.

This is based solely on my experience with breakfast over two days. The food is fine -- nothing to rave about but also a good portion. The service was completely lacking though. There wasn't enough staff so the same woman who seated us took our order and then we never saw her again. They also brought us our food (yogurt) and coffee with no spoons. It was interesting. If not included with my elite status, I'd probably hit up one of the great restaurants nearby instead.

Breakfast Flatbread

Ate here three times in three days. All three times, the service was lovely. You can charge the meal to your room or pay then and there. First time: S&S Signature Breakfast with scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausage. Disappointing because it wasn't noticeably tastier than a standard continental breakfast buffet that would be complimentary at most business inns. Every part of it was just fine. The exception was the orange juice included with the signature, which was delicious. $21 Second time: Breakfast Flatbread. Now this was gorgeous. Got the eggs over easy so the yolk bled onto the pesto. Really really good. I'd order this again. No drink included. $18 Third time: The dinner menu the server handed me was more expensive, with entries ranging from $26 to $40, or tapas for $12 a plate, or a couple salads I wasn't in the mood for. However, the online menu has a section for handhelds--burgers and sandwiches--that include a side of fries or chips. From that menu, I asked the server for the Chicken Bacon Avocado without bacon. On the plate the sandwich looks small, but it's substantial. The fries were lightly salted with a nice potato flavor. $18 Overall, I think the quality of the entrées varies a lot from really delicious to average of slightly disappointing, and the prices are really pushing what I'm content to spend on a meal. But I like that between S&S and the little Illy grab-and-go right next to it, The Notary Hotel offers food onsite at a range of price points. You'll find more interesting, delicious, cheaper food from local businesses at Reading Terminal Market next door, but if you don't want to go outside, or if you can't be bothered to browse your other options, Sabroso+Sorbo isn't bad. Sometimes it's even really good.

Friendly service, tasty food but a bit overpriced. Pretty spacious restaurant inside the hotel. Sat on the couch and the waitress allowed us to dine there. Charcuterie board was delicious, but small for $35. Good quality which is a big reason why. Drinks were made fast and was a nice sports bar. Id come back here for drinks and an app if I am in the area again!

Excellent food and service! Bar was busy but restaurant was not too busy. We had nice and quiet dinner.

Hubby gets a gold star for finding the places the eat. We walked here from our hotel to dine for dinner. We were able to come in and be seated right away. The host gave us menus while we waited for our server. Our server was Erica, the best and sweetest person who will ever meet. We started out with appetizers: Him: Croquettes Me: Grilled Shrimp Plus we had the white sangria punch in a pitcher. Dinner entrées we both had the filet with green beans and potatoes. Now everything was good, but the potatoes were a tad underdone for me. And we even had room for dessert. I wanted to enjoy the ambiance and hubby time so no photos

Great and fast service. The food was great and unique. I had the brûlée oatmeal and it was like dessert for breakfast!

So this was a post flower show meal endeavor. I had come here with a friend a few years ago the weekend before covid hit and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. It seemed to be closed down for a while and when I saw it was open again I knew we had to recreate the whole experience. I must say though I was underwhelmed on the second trip. Service was okay but the whole place felt a bit disjointed, the food was fine. This was definitely better in my memory then it was on the revisit. Had to enter through the lobby of the hotel despite there being multiple other doors that were just locked so we had to essentially walk all the way around the building to get in, which may be a security feature but should be more clearly displayed then. Overall it was tolerable but not somewhere I will be rushing back to.

Brussel sprouts

Hannah was a phenomenal server. Espresso martini, Brussels, and molten chocolate were the winners here. Chicken was also good. I enjoyed the meal here.

This place was fantastic. Very eclectic decor with great lighting and music. The staff were so polite and lovely. Shanice was our server and she was so attentive. Hats off to the Chef. We had the mussels that were in an orange saffron sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. The cheese cake was perfect. I've been to a lot of high end restaurants but this one is a hidden gem. I would strongly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic blueberry pancakes!

Many of the hotel breakfasts I've had are usually sub-par to average, so I didn't expect much from Sabroso +Sorbo. They completely exceeded my expectations though. Everything my family ordered during our stay was delicious: chia pudding, breakfast parfait, blueberry pancakes, traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, papas bravas etc. The orange and apple juices are fresh and tasty. They plate everything in a beautiful manner as well. The pancakes in particular were perfect: they were an ample portion, but were thin and light, and included fresh berries. (Not the heavy, gloppy monstrosities you usually get.) All of the employees are friendly and welcoming. We were fortunate to get Eileen as our server both days. She is both efficient and very kind. I was surprised Sabroso doesn't have other reviews, because they are excellent!

Food was ok but expensive. In the hotel is convenient and does the room service. The bar closes too early.

Our server apologized for a delay in taking our drink orders. She was attentive the rest of our meal. I ordered a Charles deGaulle whiskey cocktail. Lemon, aperol and simple syrup added a refreshing twist. For entrees, my wife ordered the pacherri; a simple pork ragu with tender broccoli rabe, Parmesan, stracciatello and basil. The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme. Cocktail prices and entree prices were very reasonable. They offer happy hour drinks and specials. Certainly a very good choice if you're in the area.

The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

Making a reservation online was quick and easy, though I've know it gets very busy on weekends and during the summer. Even though we had reserved a table, we grabbed a sit at the bar (our favorite way to do it). Great decision! Our waitress, Alex, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and went beyond just listing items, she shared her personal favorites and honest perspectives, which really helped us make our decisions. We started with a bottle of Super Tuscan, which was just what we were looking for (and at a great price id say). Their wine list is great, and they have a full bar too. I've heard they're known for their focaccia, but we didn't try it this time... definitely on the list for next visit. For food, we had the Bufala Mozzarella with zucchini/mint on sourdough toast to start. So fresh and flavorful. Then we shared the Crab Pasta and the NY Strip. Both were delicious. The portions aren't huge, but they were perfect for us to share and left us totally satisfied. We were way too full for dessert, but everything we saw coming out looked amazing, next time for sure. They also have a $56 per person family-style option (2 appetizers, a pasta, a secondi, and a contorni), which honestly sounds like a great deal. Definitely something we want to try next time. The space is modern and fits perfectly in Rittenhouse. So happy to finally check this one off my list... and definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to whenever I'm in Philly.

We got an additional eggplant dip which, on the other hand, was extremely salty and not worth adding in at all. We also ordered the hazelnut budino; and found it to be subpar. Skip it in my opinion, it was like a very runny mousse with hazelnuts - it did not have enough depth or thickness and lacked any pudding like texture. If you are really craving for a good Budino, save your money and head over to Barbuzzo instead.

While on my short hop over to Philly I was in the mood for a restaurant with character /flavor and ran across Bolo on Google. I read the article about how it came to be & I was sold immediately. I made the reservation within an hour and the check in was seamless. I love that you are transported into a cafe you would fall into on the island. Staff was all wecoming and friendly which is a great 1st impression. Yaay Bolo. I scan over the menu & realize they have a prefix menu which I wanted to opt for. However I also see that the skewers that I had my eye set on was not a part of the snack portion. However I ask the waitress can she ask the manager if I can have one of the $9 skewers instead of one of the $20 starters to accommodate that portion of the meal. Unfortunately she came bk with news that broke my heart. The answer was no. I respect that. Confused but respect. Now I opt to just do a la carte. I decided to order 2 skewers & the Imperial Chicken rice & my friend ordered the Vica Frita. The moment of truth arrived and the shrimp & chicken skewers were everything I hoped for! I was equally excited about my chicken & rice because I just know im gonna be blown away by a flavorful marinated chicken breast. Mmmmm. The food arrives & it looks phenomenal. Im going in fast for my 1st bite and womp womp womp, it was simply eye candy. The chicken portion was a bit dry & flavorless unfortunately. However the dish redeemed itself with the saffron rice. That was delicious although I only had a few bites. My friend's steak was EVERYTHING! Presentation, spice, juicy and simply gives you a foodgasm. Bunuelos dessert was on point and the puuuurfect size for sharing. Now that the meal is about over this is where confusion comes into play. The waitress comes over & asks "How is everything?". I look at her & say the chicken dish is very underwhelming, just wrap it up I will figure out what to do with it at home. She didn't even attempt to offer the manager to come over to smooth things over or ask would I like something else instead especially seeing that the entire chicken is still sitting pretty on my plate. Lol. She then asked did we like anything else, I said just the check. She then confirmed she is going to go wrap this dish to go & handed us the check. Lol I do not complain much & never do so to get anything free. I do however love feeling like my opinion matters & you will attempt to make my experience the best. So in closing I will come back for the live Thursday music & happy hour.

The olives were warm which is a fun twist but the texture was mushy and unpleasant. The baked cheese was delicious, however, it was comically small compared to the dish it was served in. For my main, I ordered the king salmon. It was a great portion size. However, it was overcooked, dry, and overpowered by a very bitter garlic flavor. My friend's steak (which she asked for medium) was also overcooked and tough, without a steak knife she was really struggling to eat this. My other friends ordered the swordfish, cauliflower, and halloumi salad - all were ok. The desserts really saved the day. The tahini brownie was incredible! The lemon cardamom bun was also tasty but a little dry. The ambience here is very nice and the bar is beautiful but the bathrooms are filthy. The service was fast but unfriendly. The duck was small and a bit dry and not very flavorful. The curry was runny and thin so it slid off of the veggies and duck. The pad Thai was honestly quite small and tasted like any pad thai you could order at any random restaurant and it was also just vaguely dry. My biggest grievances with this place was the ambiance. I feel like they wanted to fit as many tables as they physically could in that building and boy did they. The tables are so close together and so tiny. We had and I'm not exaggerating under 3 inches between us and the table next to us and we were on the wall with booths on one half. The poor women go got seated next to us had to move her table on top of the table on her other side and squeeze between ours and hers just to get into the booth. And even then it was tight so her butt ended up on our table and I felt bad because she looked so embarrassed and apologized but there was nothing she could do. The silverware is ridiculously long for the small table they give you. We did not have room to comfortably fit 2 entrees on the table with our drinks and our forks and our silverware and our small plates. We also had a reservation, and our table wasn't ready and there was no waiting area. They didn't have an estimate of when it would be ready so they sent us out. We walked around for 15-20 minutes before they were able to seat us. They also had music playing not quietly and because of the proximity of all of the tables everyone was kind of talking loud to be able to hear each other. It felt more like a bar than a sit down restaurant. There are so many Thai places just within a block of grandmas I could not understand why someone would choose to wait there rather than go to Chatayee or Dara. I think this place is catered to look cool on Instagram and if that's your goal then you'll be quite happy.
