Had a subpar experience for work on my RV. Dan seems to be a nice guy but the reults were not good. Had him diagnose reason engine battery was not holding a charge. He found one issue which was helpful but innacurately diagnosed a problem with the dome light and wanted to rewire the dome light for another $300-400, in addition to the $400 bill I already had incurred. I decided to leave it the way it was and it has been working fine. The main benefit I received from his assessment was to leave the phone charger out of the cigarette lighter when not driving the vehicle and his suggestion I add a small solar panel that could charge the battery through the cigarette lighter. I later requested he come out and install 7 replacement lights in the instrument panel. He said he was not sure he wanted to do that work, that he would research it and if he did not want to do it he would refer the work to a instrument panel specialist. He never got back to me, even after another phone call the next day. Fortunately for me, my regular auto service folks have agreed to take a shot at installing these lights. He does not accept PayPal and if pay by credit card he adds a 4% fee on top of his $150 per hour rate. I see that other people have had good luck with him. I probably would have not provided this review but I feel the rudeness of not getting back to me on the dash lights is unexcusable. read more

Dash lighting poorly installed cannot even see half the lighting after the first few months of installation. Dan had to come back and install the lights a second time at my expense and still could not perform adequate work. Customer service is poor and he states he has to charge a 200 dollar service fee to come look at it after over 700$ of installation and re installation. Do not get work done from this guy. He claims that he has not had issues with any other installs but after having him come back to fix the problem and it broke... Had to edit my review. This guy is a rip off and a liar. I called him from Facebook (my mistake already) and told him I needed my car taillights to get fixed. He came over and spent a little over an hour in my garage doing who knows what, I didn't watch him. He told me it was now working. He said he fixed a few wires that were shorting out under the car. I was happy and left a 5 star review. It was raining and I also was busy working so I didn't drive the car for over a week after he left. The 1sr time I pulled the car out of the garage, the lights stopped working again. Doing the same exact thing it was doing before dan came out. So I just took it to a real shop. The car spent 5 days at Stringfield electrical but he couldn't find the problem either. I asked if he saw where there had been repairs made previously on the wire harness from front to back and he said NO. I already knew Dan was a liar because when he was here I asked him to show me what he fixed and he didn't and changed the subject. Then I thought about it, my car is a lowrider and lays flat on the ground. There is no way he could have made a repair under it. That's 2 red flags. The other shop didnt charge me a dime because they couldn't fix the problem. That made me think how is Dan going to charge me when it's not fixed. So I called Dan and of course he says I got what I paid for. He charged me $250 to change a fuse and that's all he did. He's not going to make it running a scam business like he is. He TOLD me he made repairs and the other shop said there were no repairs made. Why would they lie? Why would I lie? Only person that has a reason to lie is dan and that's what he is doing. I echo the previous reviews. Another mechanic referred us to Daniel for electrical work in both our cars. He answered the phone right away, scheduled us for the next day (he came to our house), and carefully listened to our needs. We needed kill switches installed in both our cars. He installed one in my husband's truck and explained (using the car's electrical diagram!) why my car did not need one. We appreciated that he didn't try to sell us something that was not needed and instead saved us money! It took several phone conversations with my son...who was at work...to zero in on what could be done today, with additional work to be done at a later date. Dan was patient and used layman's terms when I tried to translate between his concerns to my son as well. He did the work needed and found an ignition lock key that has fallen out of its housing so between the repairs he did plus finding that key, the jeep is running great.
