I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

We liked the system so much that I had them install a new heat pump in our rental unit. Unfortunately we had a part that needed replacing 18 months later. The service technician Christian arrived on time and courteously introduced himself and his service procedure. He used a handheld meter to measure pressures and other important data about the unit's performance. He showed me the results on his meter: a loss of pressure, probably because of a coolant leak. He laid out my options and answered my questions. After getting my approval, he replaced the missing coolant and added a dye kit that would help find the leak. He also mentioned the dye kit included a sealant that might close up any small leaks. After adding the coolant and dye kit, the HVAC unit quickly brought interior temperatures down. Short-term problem solved. Christian explained that AirMech offers a maintenance plan that I should consider. It pays for regular inspections and provides a 15% discount on the work he had just completed. I opted in. The money I saved that day will more than pay for a whole year of the maintenance plan. A couple weeks later, I called AirMech again to have them inspect the lines to look for leaks. Christian was my man again. He arrived bright and early and performed a visual check in the attic. Then he hooked up his meter to the outdoor HVAC unit. He showed me the results and interpreted them for me: all readings are in the "ideal" range. It looks like the dye kit with sealer did its job. And because I had opted into the maintenance plan, there was no charge for the visit. Long-term problem solved. AirMech's staff operated with professionalism and integrity. I will call on them for my future HVAC needs. And I hope I get Christian again!

He was friendly, professional, and took the time to patiently explain what needed to be fixed and why. We really appreciated how respectful he was of our home--he wore booties and made sure not to track anything in. They had a fair price and when I was ready to schedule with them, they booked me for the next day! I was so happy about this because other businesses I was considering were booking a month out. They gave me a 12pm-3pm window and the tech arrived a little after 12 so it was nice nit having to wait so long. He was very nice and explained everything as he was inspecting and allowed me to ask any questions. Turns out my fireplace is in great shape, was rarely used by the previous owner, and is easy to clean myself. So rather than pushing me to have him clean it, he simply charged the inspection fee. Leo did an awesome job despite the 100+ degree heat. He had to go Up on the roof. He even wore a mask and booties, while inside the house, to respect Covid protocols since we had a toddler and immunocompromised people at home. I would definitely recommend them. The final charge was close to the quote given by Yana, their dispatcher.
