"Professional, Friendly, Competent" No one wants to have Parkinson's disease, but if you do, this doctor is a good choice. We have found her to be very sharp on the subject of neurological diseases. We asked quite a few questions, and she knew the answers right away. Clearly, she is an expert in the field. I guess that's why she wins all those awards. I noticed she again won the top Neurologist in the Bay Area award last year. The doctor recommended a certain imaging procedure to test dopamine levels in the brain. This is the best way to try to isolate Parkinson's. When we got the Dopamine results back, she was very encouraging, and immediately prescribed a particularly effective drug. We feel we are in good hands with this physician. read more

Updating my review 13 years later! I still adore Dr. Sachdeva and her entire staff. They are so kind and truly caring. Not only has Dr. Sachdeva still been managing my Multiple Sclerosis, but she has also recently been helping treat my migraines. Sylvia, her nurse, is also just so amazing! I know I can call them and they will have my best interest at heart. It's so hard to find a neurologist with a personality, but Dr. Sachdeva is like a doctor and a mom all rolled into one. She will empathize with you but also tell you how it is, in a way that is non threatening. She is the reason why I'm on Ocrevus and haven't had any new lesions in 3 years!!! Be prepared for long waits. It can be frustrating but once you are in the room with you her, you understand why. She truly takes the time to know you, and to talk to you. My husband started seeing Dr. Sachdeva when he was seeking treatment for cognitive impairment, which ended up being diagnosed as Alzheimer's. We have been seeing her for over a year and two weeks prior to having a stroke, she mentioned that his MRI showed he was primed for one and it happened. Since 9/11/23, we have been in and out of Stanford Hospital and Healthcare. I am so pleased at how she works with other medical staff to ensure that my husband has the best care. We trust her as our main neurologist and would recommend her to anyone! She has given her time, expert care and treatment plan and we appreciate all the improvments we have seen in my husband's overall health. The communication with her staff has also been excellent and the referral to the San Ramon Regional Speech Therapy has been excellent! read more

Dr. Sachdeva is kind, caring, and most off all, knowledgeable. My primary care doctor was unable to help me, but Dr. Sachdeva was able to diagnose me in one visit, and start me on medication right away. The follow-up blood tests confirmed her diagnosis. If it had gone untreated for very long, it likely would have become permanent. If you are looking for a highly experienced and expert neurologist, look no further. I do not recommend this office to anyone. I husband was seen for memory issues. Following are the issues we encountered. - Dr. has very limited amount of time with patient (15 min max). Dr. seems in a hurry and stressed out most of the time. - Dr. didn't work hard to try to find root cause of issue. She handed out a diagnoses and medication without ruling out other causes. I had to ask about a PET scan, and her response was "she didn't think Medicare paid for it. " She asked if we really wanted to get the results of a PET, like we were afraid of the possible answer. Turns out Medicare did pay for it. - If you ask you can get very high-level handwritten recommendations after the visit, but that is about it. - there is no easy way to communicate with the dr. outside of the dr. appointment. She does not have an email address, and everything goes through her Medical Assistant (MA) who is not responsive and rude. The MA says she didn't get the email or wasn't in the office that day or you sent it to the wrong email address. But when you are on the line with her and resend her the request, somehow, she gets it. - there is no portal or easy way to get Dr. notes from visit - there is no way to provide feedback...I called Hills Physician, and they told me to call my insurance and provide feedback.... not a good process - there is no backup when the dr. is out of the office at a conference or on vacation - The Medical Assistant, Sylvia is incompetent, rude, and lied to me several times. It took 7 calls back and forth between her and the PET Scan clinic because she didn't provide the correct insurance code. When I would call her back and say the clinic said the code was still wrong she would get testy and rude. The clinic finally called her, gave her the right code. She then told me it was Medicare's fault because they changed the code. On another occasion, when blood work was ordered, she miscommunicated that the order was ready. My husband went to LabCorp and the order could not be executed until 3 months later. When I called her back and talked to her about her communication skills, she got very nasty with me and said she told me in a voice mail that she said it wasn't ready until Oct, but I had an inscription on my iPhone that recorded exactly what she said. When I called her on it, she then said my husband called the other office assistant told him and she told him, which was complete lie. This is shameful, playing on someone with memory issues to cover her own mistakes and incompetence. - In summary, we have had a very frustrating experience with this office. Not recommended to go to a single shingle doctor, with limited staff, difficulty in getting appointments, and getting to the root cause of the medical issue. read more

When you do things for the right reason, people see that and want to make sure they are in your care. I was referred to Dr. Sachdeva by a friend and by researching her on Yelp and other reviews. Shes great! She explains everything into a language you will understand. She up-to-date with meds and what are current treatments. I cannot say enough about this doctor. Definitely would recommend her. Office staff is also professional and easy to talk to. I live in San Joaquin County and the drive to San Ramon to see her is worth the drive. If there were more than 5 stars I would have maxed it. read more

Great place! I really like Dr. Sachdeva. She's a real nice and easy going doctor and takes her time to explain everything and write out your progress. Very satisfied with the thoroughness of my evaluation by this doctor. She has a very clear way to explain what I need to understand. Intuitive, present, thorough, thoughtful, and experienced. I hope you never need a neurologist, but I recommend Dr. Sachdeva. I have seen many doctors for what I originally thought was a neck injury from boxing and have a sense of how specialists operate. It's not easy to find a doctor who will take great care with you in an industry that seems based upon numbers, money, and expedition of patients instead of a more human approach to health. i was in such a hurry trying to find a Neurologist i was Referred to this doctor from my PCP, From the moment i called to make my appointment to the day of my appointment i was very pleased. The office is amazing starting with the front office staff. They have candy all around the office which is a plus and you are welcomed a warm hello. When the Medical Assistant takes you to the back she has friendly Conversation that makes you forget all of your worries and stress. The doctor is The best she listens to everything you have to say and is very thorough. Its very hard to find a good Doctor who shows they care and aren't worried about just getting paid. This doctor does things that many doctors don't - 1. SHE LISTENS - and not just for their obligatory 90 seconds - but for as long as you need to explain what is going on - on your terms, in your language. 2. SHE CARES. I don't mean cursorily - she really truly cares about what is now happening in your life due to what the diagnosis is. 3. SHE'S CURIOUS, i.e. SHE INVESTIGATES - she never assumes she knows what's what. She PROVES HER DIAGNOSIS to herself with tests and data. 4. SHE GETS RIGHT TO THE POINT. One does not need to guess what she may be implying - she is matter of fact and to the point. You KNOW what you must know and you KNOW what your roll is in the problem. My husband has been changing before my eyes and ears and no doctor would listen to him or to me. We went to 2 primary care physicians, 1 neurologist, one speech therapist and I finally said enough! I took him to Dr. Sachdeva (because she had taken care of me after a bicycle crash and concussion). She grasped the bull by the horns so to speak, and conducted many tests, always questioning, not being afraid to say hmmm...I don't know, let's try this. hmmm, looks like xyz, let's test for this etc etc. We have a diagnosis. We have a plan. We have progress. Our diagnosis is life shattering and life changing for us - Dr. Sachdeva understands this. She is amazing. She is compassionate. BTW, everything you read below about her office staff is true as well. Jennifer must have had to pass Dr. Sachdeva's compassionate, competence, efficiency tests because she is amazing as well. I feel a badly that I don't remember the name of the other woman in the front office, but she is very efficient, flexible and compassionate also. Dr. Sacheva began seeing me following a bad accident were I was hit in a crosswalk by a car. She is professional and helpful. Due to her persistance I finally recieved a follow up MRI on my broken back. She also saw my mother (she is a Neurologist who also works with dementia and aging issues) and was so kind to my mother. She was also very helpful and sensitive in assisting me with working with my mothers dementia issues. She is a wonderful caring doctor. read more

I first met Dr Sachdeva when I moved to the area in 1994. She and I were both young women with babies. :) i am a registered nurse who has worked with physicians for many years and I can say that she is one of the best! Smart, practical, and organized. She listens, gives sound advice, and never hurries. I see her once per year and love her! If you need a neurologist, she is the one!! Please remember if your wait time is long...she is giving everyone her time and doesn't hurry which is part of what makes her so special. Also, the few negative reviews do not match up with what I've experienced over the years. She has better front office staff now. I have been seeing Dr. Sachdeva now since we moved here 15 years ago. She has literally saved my life . I have a condition called Essential Tremor - tremors of my head, voice and upper extremities. When we moved here from the northeast I was 43 y.o. and had been dealing with this for 13 yrs., emotionally I was a mess. This MD through meds. & therapy referral brought me from house bound back to my profession of nursing! I had seen many neurologists, but she was the only one that was able to turn my life around like this! Dr. Sachdeva is competent and thorough. I sought her help because I needed some paperwork completed, and she took the time to do all of the research required before completing it. She looked over all of my medical records, and took into account the medical examinations/evaluations she had performed on me. She took her job seriously, and I really appreciate that!
