We also loved the Sachi rolls, Veggie rolls, Spider rolls, spicy chicken rolls, sweet potato tempura and pork gyoza. We will definitely be back. Service was welcoming and friendly, and our takeout order was put together neatly with every item labeled. This was the best experience we had in the village during our 10 day trip. We saved this one for last based on the recommendation of a good friend. Curtis was amazing and accommodated us beyond our expectations on a Friday night. The quality of the sushi was second to none of the many sushi restaurants I have been to. The restaurant is a little deeper in the village and worth the walk. The inside is not huge and provides a very welcoming atmosphere. We had the pleasure of sitting in front of the owner and watching him work his magic. The two of us ended up eating 6 rolls along with a treat from the owner. We also had a bottle of sake and 4 beers. Considering all of that, we were shocked it didn't cost more. We will be back without a doubt as this is our new favorite spot. read more

I was craving sushi and luckily, my hotel was close by Sachi sushi. I showed up right before opening (there was a line!) and was seated immediately as a solo traveler. I ordered the chicken karaage, which was very tender and juicy. I also ordered the hako sushi - loved that it was a variety of fish to try in one bite and the lemon did not over power the roll. The sashimi was high quality and I liked that it included crab and octopus - something I don't usually get in sashimi platters. This is now my favorite sushi spot in the village. I arrived about 5 minutes after the restaurant opened and was immediately drawn to the chefs in the center of the room, ready to prepare the various dishes. I was a party of one and was quickly ushered over to a table for 4 hidden behind privacy screens. This table was located beside the server's station. I felt so incredibly insulted. Please keep in mind there was ONE other table with diners at this point so it certainly wasn't an issue of having tables. The server was friendly, though never did offer to refill my water. As I was hidden behind the privacy screens, I was not able to flag anyone down and, as the restaurant was practically empty, each of two servers attended at the servers station once apiece. The restaurant was almost as empty when I left as when I entered. I certainly will have no problem taking my business elsewhere next time, somewhere that values customers and doesn't try to hide them. That being said, the food was good. I love that the sushi chefs are in the center of the room, so just about anyone can get a glimpse of them working to create our tasty meals. We tried the sachi roll, the eel avocado, and got a medium house sake to split. First of all, the wasabi here is divine! I'm not sure if they are using fresh wasabi or their wasabi has a higher ratio of real wasabi over horseradish, but it was amazing. The medium sake was perfect for two. If I could give this place a 0 star I would.. solely from the terrible service we've ever encountered. Thought we would go to a nice sushi place close to our airbnb for our 5 year anniversary dinner.. walked in and the long haired man was friendly, but that wasn't our server. Our server (balding caucasian man) came and took our order almost right away which seemed to start off good since we already knew what we wanted..Food came out fast, he kind of just dropped it off and walked away really quickly.. didn't ask if there was anything more we needed. My husband ordered noodles and is not very good at chopsticks so needed a fork, didn't ever get a chance to ask for one, so he just had to struggle to eat with them. That was the last time our server ever came back to our table. We saw him walking around, at the bar, helping other tables but would never look over at us blantenly trying to get his attention. Ok fine, maybe he was busy.. but the restaurant is small and all he had to do was glance our way and he would have saw us sitting there for 30 minutes with our empty dirty plates in front of us!!! So we resorted to finding another waiter.. but they were all too busy cleaning tables together(2 guys wiping one table down together??) and we probably had 5 waiters pass us and nobody even acknowledged us sitting there with dirty plates for that long to take them away. Our friends brought us Sachi Sushi last night for dinner--- WOAH! It was spectacular! We had: Sachi Roll, House Roll, Kani Blossoms, Hamachi sashimi, Ikura w quail egg, gyoza and beef noodles. The Haku box sushi with thinly sliced lemon was to die for and the crab towers of the Kani Blossoms had terrific flavor. The food came out fresh and fairly quick. I've been wanting to try this place for ages and I finally got to -- just because we had to have dinner early. Surprisingly, there's still a line up even before the doors opened at 5 pm. Service was pretty good for a group of 4 adults and 5 kids. The server was very nice and friendly. The food, ok. They're not the best, but they're not bad either. But the price, youch! It hurts the bank a little. Kani Blossoms (2 pcs; Fresh Alaskan King Crab wrapped nigiri style with Ahi Tuna), not bad but not worth the $9.50 price tag. Hako Sushi (6 pcs; Salmon, shrimp, scallop, avocado, thinly sliced lemon, spicy mayo, shaped into a box), again, not bad but not worth the $11.50 price tag. Spicy Scallop Roll (6 pcs; Scallop, cucumber, spicy may), only ok. I would've compliment it more but I think they forgot the spicy in the Spicy Scallop Roll. Nabeyaki Udon (2 Prawn tempura, diced chicken, egg and vegetable in noodle soup). I can't say much. It's just that, an average Nabeyaki Udon. But at $11 a bowl... I was so wowed by their sushi when I came here almost a year ago that I just had to stop by on my first night in Whistler. I stopped in on a Weds night at about 8ish. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated but overall, the wait was not bad. My party of 3 ordered the following: CHICKEN KARAAGE- chicken skewers GINDARA SAIKYO YAKI- grilled black cod with miso paste Assorted sashimi Avocado cucumber roll Amaebi nigiri and hamachi nigiri Sake flight The chicken karaage consisted of 2 chicken skewers. Yum! The Gindara was just as good as I remembered. I can't get enough of that! Assorted sashimi~ I think it had the same items as the last time- but this time their scallops were better than the salmon. After checking in to the HIlton on a Friday night, we wanted something light after the drive from Vancouver so we walked across the square from the hotel to Sushi Village. A 90-minute wait quickly helped us to decide to check out the restaurants on the more quiet Main Street in Village North. A short walk landed us at Sachi Sushi. We were seated in less than 30 minutes in a packed room with lively but well behaved crowds. It is definitely a hidden gem with friendly service, good food and moderate prices. My nabeyaki udon was around $9 and the daily special calamari was just around $12-$15. My calamari was a whole squid with body rings and whole tentacles very lightly battered and pan fried. Flavour and consistency were perfect. The rolls are also tasty, fresh, and, clever. Yes, clever. The rolls are traditional with just the right amount of twists. read more

The worst customer service Ever. The manager was extremely rude. Due to covid my family doesn't feel comfortable to eat-in. I called to order take out and the manager said they are not accepting take out. He said If I go there I can wait for an hour to get a table. I mentioned I am fine with waiting for an hour, but I don't feel comfortable with sitting in the restaurant. He kept repeating that I can get my food if I am going to sit at a table. He was arrogant, rude and dismissive. He also said he doesn't care if as a customer I am not pleased with the way he is speaking to me and treating me. He claimed that i am bullying him by insisting on getting my food to go. I hope the owner looks into the conduct of this manager because the food is good but the manager is very rude. Ok- for all you Vancouverites out there... this is basically an expensive version of Toshi (on Main and 16th). I might even like this better since I find the quality is better and some of their dishes they really put their own "twist" to it. I ordered their version of "Box Sushi", spicy tuna roll, seaweed salad, chicken teriyaki and spicy tofu. As expected, everything was great. Their spicy tofu sauce is awesome (you can quote me on that), I just wanted to dip everything in it, especially their spicy tuna roll which was unique because it had some shredded radish in it which I found nice. Chicken teriyaki was well-executed - the best in Whistler for sure. Came with rice and the sauce was nice and gooey. Yum! Only disappointment was the seaweed salad, it was really on the small side and the salad didn't really work together - there were tons of different types of seaweed but it was a weird concoction. All in all, a slightly more expensive sushi option, but extremely fresh. They have tables as well as a bar, great place for a nice dinner or a party. read more

Wooww... I had an unsuspecting feeling that the sushi in Whistler might be sneaky good...boy was I right. The proximity of the town to the Pacific allows for the fresh fish to come and go from this place. We stayed in Whistler 3 nights and ate here twice. Now, we are not sushi snobs...not in the least bit...but we enjoy good fish. The sushi we had here was on par with the best we have ever had, and living in LA, there are plenty of options. We tried a sampling of the appetizers, including the green salad, dumplings, miso soup and chicken karage. All were very satisfying, although the miso did leave a little to be desired. In regards to the fish, we tried the nigiri and the rolls. Everything we had, including the sockeye salmon and hamachi, which both melted in your mouth like butter, were just so good. I love Sachi Sushi. My husband told me not to write this review because then it would get busier, but I can't help it. Everything we eat, every time we go, is marvelous. It's almost worth driving from New West to Whistler for Sushi. There are probably 3-4 different sushi restaurants at Whistler, and the wait was so long at Elements Tapas Bar that we ended up at this place at 9 pm because the wait was only about 10-15 minutes. It was pretty late, so I didn't think our 30 min quoted wait-time was entirely accurate, and was happy when we were seated relatively quickly. The host was really great at answering my questions with one word or one-phrase answers. I think I asked him 4 separate questions and I thought he might kill me by the last one. To save you some trouble, they do take credit cards, and they do have WiFi (you have to ask them for the password). The sushi is pretty reasonably priced at around $9-$12, and their rolls tend to have a lot more tempura or spicy mayo than most other places. You should be able to find something for everyone - they have rolls, nigiri, sashimi, noodles, meat, tempura. We got the assorted sushi which had 7 pieces of nigiri and 5 pieces of spicy tuna roll and it was all fine. I liked the nigiri better than the spicy tuna roll; there were 7 different types of fish and they were all good, but not necessarily mind-blowing or super memorable. The cupcake roll (6 pieces) was $7 or $8, and sounded interesting and unique: avocado on the inside with thinly sliced sweet potato tempura, with a dollop of spicy mayo and an edamame for the "cherry on top of the cupcake". It's a little bit on the gimmicky side. Interesting, but I'd prefer to have sushi with fish, and if I want tempura, then just order tempura separately. Spicy Mini Yosenabe ($21) - I actually quite liked this and it's hard to find this type of more traditional Japanese dish at most restaurants. They have a sukiyaki bowl of noodles, a mini yosenabe, and then this spicy yosenabe with seafood, tofu, and vegetables in a spicy soup. The noodles are clear, sweet potato noodles - light, and pairs well with the spicy broth. It's a great choice for sharing with someone else on a cold winter night in Whistler. I'd recommend this as part of your meal since it's more filling than some of the sushi you might get, and also nice for a little bit of variety. All in all, a decent place to get sushi in Whistler if you're craving it. Or just wait until you get to Vancouver for some better, cheaper, and fresher sushi. It was a fine meal, but not something I'd particularly seek out or recommend in Whistler. read more

We went to Sachi Sushi here for our last night in Whistler. The place was pretty packed but we got seated in 10 minutes in the bar, which we didn't mind cause we like to watch the chefs making sushi. Our server was really nice an attentive. We ordered the negihama nigiri, sake nigiri, kani blossoms (avocado wrapped in tuna with crab, cupcakes (veggie sushi with sweet potato tempura, avocado, and edamame), sachi roll (scallop and the sushi was wrapped with soy crepe instead of seaweed). The fish was fresh but the rice in the nigiris fell apart fast especially when I dipped it in my soy sauce. We also ordered udon with tempura, which wasn't bad but it could use some vegetables in the dish. For dessert, our server recommended the green tea creme brulee and it was to die for.
