This is a great spot for fast, inexpensive, on the go food is a bit odd, but it is centrally located. It is inside of an information center and had it not been for Yelp, I would not have known it was there. With that, they are not open that late. It is a stall so there is no seating and you have to stand to wait for your food. All that said, the menu had great Asian options at a cheap price. The portions were decent sized and the food tasted good. I had the spicy pork bowl and the spicy tuna bowl. The rice bowl was Korean flavored and was a good filling meal with a good amount of meat. The spcy tuna roll was not what I expected as it was tuna steak, with spicy sauce in it, as opposed to the premixed spicy tuna mixture inside of rice. It wasn't the best, but still did the job. It's hard to put this place into perspective as a visitor who tried sushi from all different parts of America, Canada, and Asia. From the moment you realize it's located in the Whistler visitor center, you know it's not suppose to be a world famous affair. We had ordered during a lull in the night when we were enticed by the homey seating reminiscent of a Japanese sushi bar. After we ordered though, we were told we could not sit at the bar and had to sit further away at the tables. The chef said the bar was for single diners. This didn't make sense as he let a party of three sit together at the bar just minutes after we were told to move. Regardless we got our sushi orders - a mix of tuna, salmon, and special rolls mimicking the standard affair at sushi restaurants. Nothing stood out to any of us, but nor did any of the offerings cause us any unexpected problems later on in the night. The appearance and taste definitely did not scream fresh by any means. Looking back, we should have tried their hot food instead. read more

Super sweet staff. Called in an order for one of their party trays and it was gonna be super fast! The sushi was decent enough and extremely affordable for what we got (you could easily feed 6 adults with one of their trays). "To go" is exactly the ambiance you get when you go in to pick up your order, as they share a space with a couple of other businesses. 10/10 would recommend for a quick bite! read more

Stopped here briefly at noon on a weekday for a few maki rolls. Only a few tables inside, mostly togo orders. We waited a while to pick up our order. Service was just right with our bag brought to us already supplied with chopsticks and soy. Rolls were excellent. The California rolls were unusual with chopped crab instead of crab sticks, better than what I'm used to for sure. I'd be here all the time if it was near my location. You'd never know this sushi restaurant was there... and I didn't either until I stumbled upon it. The fair price point for whistler and sushi was great... it was fresh, tempura had great crisp to it, fish quality was good, quantity was fair and so much better than some of the other $ $$ sushi places I've tried there. They do mainly take out, take last order at 9pm and its frequented by lots of locals. Bonus is that its a nice place to learn about the area since its in the visitor center, has free wifi, bathrooms and a place to charge your phone and stay warm for a bit in winter months. I've only eaten here 3x so far but the only thing that has surprised me so far is that the kararage chicken wasn't the crispy wings or drummettes I was craving nor indicated in the photo but it was still decent! read more

We asked one of the locals to recommend a sushi place and they directed us here. The ladies working here are very nice. I was surprised at the variety of items available. They also offer prepackaged sushi at discounted prices. Seating is very limited. The rolls we ordered came out quickly and were very fresh. We have been here 3 days and between the 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) we have visited this place three times! The rolls are delicious and the fish is generous and fresh. This is a surprising find for us because it's not easy to take the little ones out to eat or find a quick easy but tasty snack. Reasonable prices, easy foods, and so convenient! If you're looking for quick and convenient meal - this is a great spot. Sushi was fresh and the ramen soup was large! Had the shrimp tempura roll and it had a nice deep fried crunch to it. Enjoyed the beef ramen - we requested extra spicy broth and they served it up hot! They also have premade take out sushi at the front fridge which makes it easy for a quick grab-and-go meal. Get Greyhound tickets, hotel accomodation, maps, coffee, and satisfy your sushi/bibimbap/fried chicken fix all in the same hall. Service was prompt and friendly. The hall was crowded at the time with passengers waiting for the bus but the lady boss helped us get a table pronto. Got the beef udon. Decent amount of beef and noodles. The soup base was ok, I'm sensitive to salt and MSG but I didn't feel any afterbuzz or excessive thirst. Their interpretation of chicken karaage is fried chicken wings with sesame and teriyaki dressing. The food is alright so long as you don't set your standards too high. Prices are ok. $8.10 before tax on a big bowl of udon. The place is a good in-between alternative to resort restaurant prices without settling for cuisine-de-711 a couple blocks away. $10 minimum for debit cards. read more

The food was good, but when we ordered two party tray we found the tuna/salmon to be only half (go look at the other end it's all rice) on the roll. My favorite sushi place in Whistler, for a casual sushi lunch or dinner. It's an easy place to stop buy and order some sushi. It doesn't have much seating so I wouldn't go there if the visitor center is busy or during peak times during the day. But after work for dinner is perfect for a filling well priced sushi meal. It's a hole in the wall of Whistler Visitor Center They are configured for order to go, but there are a small sushi bar and 3-4 shared tables. Off peak hour 2-4pm you can find a table/seat for a quick meal. They also have a few Korean dishes and looks like own by Korean. The rice was mushy on our day. We tried a few items for lunch. Bulgogi bowl: sweet beef but not as the normal Korean's sweet, 3.5* Salmon roll is blaa, sockeye is not our thing, we're spoiled with Seattle's salmon, 1* BC roll was ok, rice a bit mushy, thou less vinegary, the salmon skin is not quite crispy, 2.5* Spicy beef ramen is spicy, warm u right up, good broth, decent size for 10$, 4* Not sure if we'd go back to try dinner, but might try the bibimbap if we're near. Shhhhh! This is a hidden gem here. While you hemorrhage money left and right on your Whistler vacation this place will not contribute to your demise. The menu is robust for counter service. Yes this means you will not be sitting down to eat. However the sushi is fresh, plentiful, delicious and affordable. The only difficult part about this place is finding it: it is a counter in a shared foyer next to Tim hortons. For all the people who do not understand the not so subtle part of the name "2go" the food is meant to go. If you cannot understand this and feel compelled to leave a three star rating: NO SUSHI FOR YOU-- is how I feel. There should be no rating below 4stars IMO. I gave this place five stars mainly because it's a great value considering you're in Whistler and everything else is really overpriced. I have a family of five and every meal has been a very costly adventure here in Whistler. We are from Los Angeles and love to eat Asian food. My children really love sushi. The nigiri here is pretty inexpensive and at first this concerned me that it might not taste very good or might not be fresh. The previous night I took my wife to Kaze which is the sushi place in the Westin, which was fantastic, but taking my children there also would've destroyed my wallet. I ordered pizza for them in the room. The sushi at Sushi To Go was surprisingly good. You can check out their entire menu on their website. The udon was very mediocre. Their California rolls and dynamite rolls were good, but not excellent. Again for the price it was a great deal. The place is called "Sushi To Go" because there literally is no place for you to sit down. I just ordered and took it back to the hotel room which my kids really liked. If you're looking for an economical Japanese restaurant with sushi to feed a large group, this is a homerun! So glad I found it. If you want fine dining, high quality sushi, and ambience then go to Kaze. Again, it's not five star level sushi but all things considered being in Whistler this was five star value for food that was above average taste. read more

Was charged for 3 miso soups and the ramen was literally Top Ramen- I have never experienced this at any asain restaurant and I've been to alot.
