I've been wanting to come to Sachi Sweets for the longest time. My friend had his Vietnamese restaurant in this location before closing and relocating off island. I was driving by the other day and there was an available parking spot. It was Friday and they had the Chef's Mini Bento available. I was able to get that and it did not disappoint. So much delicious food for a Mini Bento. I had read via Yelp that their Almond Float was delicious. I had to get that too!I will be back, that one visit made me a huge fan. Sachi sweets is a cute little shop located on King Street. They have fruit teas and also specialty desserts. It's basically a take 'n go place as there's no area to eat inside. I think it would've been nice to have a few tables right outside to sit and enjoy your dessert. We ordered two fruit teas. My daughter ordered the Lilikoi tea, I ordered the mango tea, but ended up with a guava tea, which was OK, but not what I ordered. For desserts, we picked out almond float, and Japanese cheesecake. The cheesecake is very light and airy, not sweet like a traditional cheesecake. There's no crust on it, but it's not gluten-free. We enjoyed the desserts. Fruit tea was OK. read more

First heard of this place from Yelp friend, Jo Y. when she submitted her review and always wanted to drop by due to her awesome description of this place and their many selections so I made sure to add it to my Bookmarks. I attended a baby's 1st birthday party that catered a lot of Sachi's variety of desserts and I loved it! Later, a friend gave me a gift card for Christmas and finally got to check this place out to use it. I picked up 2 Custard Pudding, 2 Cream Puffs and 1 Mango Cake. All were really good but our favorite was the Custard Pudding. It was soooo creamy and the taste was oh-so-good! We would definitely get this again. The Soufflé Cheese Cake looked good so want to try that next. This place is located on King Street, right across the street from McDonald's. They have a parking lot in front of their place that's shared with other businesses. Parking is free but limited. I love all the baked goods at Sachi! Their coffee jelly is strong! This Christmas, I was excited to find out that they have Yule Log (Buche Noel) for pre-order. It was $45 for an ~8 inches cake. They also opened on Christmas Day, so I was able to pick it up on that day. Although the cake was kind of small, it was fresh and very delicious. It was not too sweet (everyone in my family approved) Pick up was easy, and I didn't have any issues with parking since it was a holiday. Customer service is always friendly here. So glad I found this place on Yelp and was finally able to stop by. We came twice so far and the lady that runs the front counter was so sweet both times. The only downside is the parking! The lot is very cramped and the few stalls are shared with several other businesses. There is some metered street parking but it's usually all taken up. This is the reason for the 4 review otherwise it would be 5 for sure! The 1st time we got some desserts and the white peach drink. Everything was so good! I he'd to come back for seconds! The 2nd time we bought 3 bento, several more desserts and of course the yummy white peach drink, as well as a lilikoi. The bento were made fresh for us and everything tasted amazing! The pickled veggies were crisp and delicious with the perfect blend of sweet and vinegar flavor. All the bentos came with miso soup that was rich in umami flavor. We were lucky enough to score a Wagyu beef bento at a discount and without having to pre order! This was my 1st time trying Wagyu and it did not disappoint! The beef literally melts in your mouth . So glad I was able to experience this upscale cut of meat. The 2nd bento was a roast meat combo the had Washugyu beef, chicken jidori, and pork loin. My favorite of the 3 was the Washugyu beef, I actually liked it even more than the Wagyu beef . The pork loin was a little dry but tasted delicious with one of the sauces that came with the bento. The chicken jidori was okay but I probably wouldn't order again, I didn't really care for the flavor. The last bento was the chicken Karaage which had a delicious flavor but it honestly reminded me more of a mochiko chicken. Maybe because it got soft from the condensation, either way it was ono and I would get it again! The desserts were all excellent! My favorite is the ube Japanese cheesecake. The drink menu is also pretty impressive from what I've tried so far but I forgot to take a pic I tried the white peach (my favorite so far) lilikoi, and coffee jelly. Nice staff but I think they need to work on their sweets. I got tiramisu cups, thinking they were tiramisu cups, only to realize after trying that it's cheesecake cups. Love the omakase grab and go bento from Sachi Sweets on King Street (between Wagaya and Mama Woo's)! It's only $15 and changes every week. Only available Thursday and Friday. Chef used to work at Suntory. This week is fried rice with a kabocha korokke, tonkatsu (2 layers!), steak slices, miso cheese, egg omlet, umeboshi, miso salmon and other stuff! SO GOOD! Small parking lot shared with other businesses. If you don't pre-order regular dishes, you'll have to wait for them to make it. I haven't tried their desserts but will next time! So happy our hair salon moved next door to this delicious gem! Popped in a few weeks ago while waiting for my mom and decided to order almost one of every dessert (I like to sample a bite of everything). That was a fun tasty dessert platter. Then was so fortunate to see a special Hamachi and King Salmon Kama bento on IG the other day. Oh my goodness....there are no words to describe how delicious this bento was. American sized Japanese desserts. Brilliant! These are so good you will want more than just a couple of bites. Perfect, springy, wiggly, jiggly, moist, Japanese cheesecake. Not too sweet so you don't feel weighed down eating the huge slice. The giant hojicha cream puff equally good. The giant choux puff is perfectly baked to a gentle crispness without drying out. The filling, airy, gently sweet goodness. Now the critical part of this review, the bentos. The shop is looking for a true restaurant space and are testing response to their offerings so this is blunt. Bentos are expensive (three fish bento, $28) all due to the huge number of individual cooked items in them including some very different, creative side dishes ie pickled bell pepper and celery or mashed potato with soft smoky bacon. Some work together, the nishime is well made, others like asparagus clash. The three types of fish, each with a different preparation, each well cooked are very flavorful but more a care should be taken with prepping the fish such as removing the bloodline. Further, the salmon in one bento tasted fishy but not in the other. The biggest recommendation to the owners, edit. I'd gladly pay $28 for just the miso fish, nishime and rice as a bento. Bento aside, if you're into Japanese desserts, Sachi Sweets is a must. read more

Stopped by to pick up the yummy Kohakuto! Lani was so delightful and prepared my order. Then I recalled fellow Yelper Paul C. review on the Yuzu tea. I ordered one to go. I stopped in after a great haircut by Mai at Ulupono Hair Salon since I was already parked and Mai said their almond float is really refreshing. Well, I got the almond float and then saw their bento bowls with barbeque beef or chicken - and the price was so reasonable! I figured it would be only so-so but it was really good and such a deal! I saw their cheesecake that looked spongey. Not at all what I thought of cheesecake with different flavors such as ube. Strange? Hmmmm. I decided to try their sampler squares since I saved a lot with their bargain bentos. And SURPRISE! They were all really delicious and fantastic! Like cheesecake but much lighter. Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... With a name like "Sachi Sweets", I thought that I'd just be getting a dessert. This was not the case. I was surprised to see a Bento Menu! To my delight, Sachi Sweets began this new menu on 3-6-24! Lucky me! Located on the left side of King Street, next to Mama Woo's (Korean cuisine), Sachi Sweets shares a small, free parking lot. There's metered street parking, too. I saw many of my friends' check-ins, reviews, and photos, but wasn't motivated to get dessert. Now that they have bentos, too, well... I'll just have to return again! I got the Coffee Jelly with Oat Milk. It really is Jelly on the bottom of the cup - which needs to be stirred, broken up, and mixed into the liquid. The Jelly becomes like boba in a way. That's why a large straw is given! The Bara Chirashi Don Set caught my eyes as I looked over the picture menus. The main bowl is a variety of ingredients such as little cubes of fresh ahi, chunks of shrimp, ikura (salmon roe), and tamago (egg) on a bed of flavored sushi rice. It came with fancy miso soup (with nori and mushrooms) and sides such as hasu (lotus root), takuan (pickled veggies), and tomatoes. Wow!!! I also got the Shiratama Anmitsu (dessert cup) because it was intriguing. Besides fresh fruits, it had jelly squares, mochi balls, and red bean paste! I poured the black sugar syrup over everything for added dimension! This was an exceptional meal and experience! Lani, the cashier, was very patient and helpful! I told her I wanted to take photos and she let me use a side table and got a prop for me! Thank you! This is a cozy, clean, cute takeout place. Everything was packed and packaged well! I've been noticing some Yelp friends check out Sachi Sweets (SS) a Japanese style dessert shop selling beautifully decorated and appealing sweets. I saw Jo Y. come here several times, where I stopped by one late afternoon as I was going to meet up with my family for dinner. SS is located in Moiliili on S King St with neighbors of Wagaya and Mama Woo's. I arrived on a weekday before 4pm so luckily the shared parking lot was empty. It can be challenging during peak hours. I eagerly walked inside and started to snap photos to document my experience. I somewhat struggled when deciding on what to order as my family are foodies so the pressure was on. I appreciated that the desserts are packed nicely for easy transport and decorated with the attention to detail. I immediately noticed the Japanese soufflé cheesecakes as I would often purchase them from a bakery in McCully Shopping Center. After bouncing back and forth from their impressive showcase, I ended up with 2 Japanese soufflé cheesecakes, 2 pumpkin crunch, 2 Azuki Marron Cake, 1 nama chocolate and 1 Ube Mont Blanc. While waiting for my desserts to be packed, I noticed their drink menu and just had to try their Yuzu iced tea. There was only 1 male staff on my visit so after carefully packing my selection, he went in the back to make my Yuzu iced tea. I did appreciate him advising there is a surcharge for credit card purchases (no surcharge for debit cards) so I ended up paying in cash. After receiving my haul, I headed over to my sister's home for dinner and was looking forward to dessert. THE VERDICT: Indeed, these are Japanese sweets from SS as they pay much attention to detail and ingredients. Hands down, we all enjoyed the Japanese soufflé cheesecakes and nama chocolates. We enjoyed the bite from the cream cheese, and it had a great texture - not airy and not dense like New York style cheesecake. The nama chocolates were so rich and melt in your mouth delicious. It was so good that I didn't want to share. Hahaha... Mont Blanc is my favorite dessert and have had it many times. I had high hopes with the Ube Mont Blanc as it was assembled and decorated with care. It was just okay but nothing to write home about for me. It lacked finesse as I can still remember the amazing Mont Blanc I ate in Japan earlier this year. On the other hand, favorite nephew by default just loved this. The Azuki Marron Cake for me was the most impressive one as this dessert had height and topped with a whole chestnut. But it lacked finesse as I found the cake inside dense and could have used a little more whipped cream for a fluffier dessert. The biggest disappointment was their pumpkin crunch, where we had high hopes. Once again, it was decorated with care, but the execution flopped. The crust didn't taste fresh as it was evidenced with some moisture. Both the pumpkin filling and whipped cream lacked finesse. What a waste of $16. On a high note, the Yuzu iced tea is a must order. It had a great Yuzu citrus flavor that had the just right amount of sweetness to it. I made the mistake of allowing favorite nephew by default try as he drank most of it. Next time I'll be sure to order multiple drinks. Overall, an above average experience at SS and glad I finally tried them. I realized I selected some of their offerings not to my liking and looking forward to trying other sweets, as well as getting more of their delicious Japanese soufflé cheesecakes that are in several flavors, and the nama chocolates. read more

I cannot end my day without something sweet; it's these little treats that give you something to look forward to, especially after a long day. I'm so glad I had time to stop by Sachi Sweets, as I had heard great reviews prior to my own visit. Although I went at the end of the day, there were still many options to choose from. (And I'm sure there are generally more--just make sure to get there earlier in the day than me.) The store itself is very small, and there are two display cases where you can choose the desserts from. I ended up trying the matcha cheesecake, black sesame pudding, and strawberry cake. Matcha cheesecake: There were many flavors of cheesecake to choose from, but I decided on matcha because it looked like it was popular (this was the last one!). Honestly, this wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it would be more of a fluffy, Japanese-style cheesecake, but it was rather dense. That being said, it wasn't too sweet, and the matcha flavor was spot on! But because the texture caught me off guard, it wasn't my favorite thing I tried here. Black sesame pudding: This was very good! I love black sesame anything though, so perhaps I'm biased. Again, the black sesame flavor was very apparent and powerful. If you like black sesame, I highly recommend! It tastes exactly like what you'd imagine it to. Strawberry cake: The presentation of this little cake cup was so cute! And pink! This was my favorite dessert I tried from Sachi Sweets. Although it is definitely sweeter than the other desserts, it's still a good level of sweetness. The strawberry flavor was evident, and the cream was nice and airy. This is also such a perfect size to satisfy your cake craving. I would definitely get this again. In terms of service, the lady who assisted me was patient and friendly. Parking was easy, as they have a lot right outside. There is no seating inside or outside. In late 2022, I saw a sign for Sachi Sweets that was going to be open soon. As my granddaughter who lives in Toronto and is also named Sachi, I took a picture of the sign and texted to her. She asked me to taste the sweets when it opened, hoping that they would be good, and to send her some pictures. She was totally amused. I'll do anything for my granddaughter. So, this is what brought me to Sachi Sweets, and I am glad that I did. Lots of oohs and aahs as I entered the bake shop of high quality Japanese style desserts. Sachi means "child of joy" in Japanese. Sachi is associated with happiness, blessing and fortune. Although the owners are not named Sachi, they picked this name for their bakery because of its meaning. (My granddaughter was touched for being named Sachi also.) During Covid, Lani Yoshimura, a server at Restaurant Suntory, became unemployed. She turned to baking and selling soufflé cheesecakes, with the help of her husband, Keisuke Nishi, who was also employed at Restaurant Suntory, but laid off. They found a brick-and-mortar store in Moiliili, named it Sachi Sweets and opened for business in Nov. 2022. Although they went back to their jobs after Covid, they still operate Sachi Sweets on limited days. Sachi Sweets offers Japanese style treats that have a balance of richness and lightness that combine local flavors with Japanese pastry techniques. Regular items include: sliced soufflé cheesecake (hojicha, matcha, regular, ube); tiramisu cups (strawberry, lilikoi, ube); mont blanc (ube); puddings (lilikoi, mango, black sesame, POG); roll cake; nama chocolate; tart; cream puff; brownie; choc chip cookie; kohakuto (crystal gummy candy); rusk. Specials include: ube pie, custard pudding, cupcake, coffee jelly. This pretty cake was layered with peach chiffon cake, sliced peaches with whipped cream/cream cheese, another layer of chiffon cake, topped with a gelatinous peach layer with a rainier cherry, a blueberry, a strawberry, and a dollop of whipped cream. What a heavenly dessert! Melts in your mouth with the taste of peaches that are in season. Love the layers and the really fresh fruits that were used for the topping, so freshy that they were crunchy. * Chocolate mousse cake. Another pretty cake with a bottom layer of chocolate cake, then cheesecake, choc mousse, choc cake, choc ganache frosting, and topped with a dollop of whipped cream, a dollop of choc frosting with a white leaf and 3 white pearls, a green grape, a blueberry, and a strawberry. Gosh, talking about a perfect dessert! Again, loved the layers and the fresh fruits that were so crunchy and the detailed white choc leaf with 3 pearls! As with the peach, cake, this choc mousse cake was not overly sweet and just melted in your mouth. So delicious, and a perfect way to surprise someone with this small gift! Lol, to make both cakes last longer, I would eat only a little each time a day! * White peach ice tea. Excellent tea made in house, as I loved the taste of the white peaches. They don't skimp on the peach taste, and you get a solid drink that is so delish! Hours of operation are from Wed to Sat 11:30a to 3:30p and 4:30p to 7:30p, Sun to Tues closed. Located next to Wagaya and Mama Woo's on So. King St., free parking is available in its private lot that is shared with other businesses; however, it fills out quickly when the nearby restaurants are open. Metered street parking is available. Credit cards accepted; however, a 3.5% surcharge is charged, so better to use cash. There's no signage, but staff was nice enough to mention it when the bill was provided. Can't wait to return to try their other desserts! As I asked a regular customer what was good, she replied that all were equally delicious. Well that certainly gave me enough time to do so as I got Matcha and Hojicha Souffle Cheesecake and Sesame Custard as well when I got my Coffee Jelly and was so happy to see it was also topped with Dalgona whip OMG is this another sweet, drink or just a work of yummy art! I had the Matcha Souffle Cheesecake and what a light and airy delightful treat that's not too sweet and with a hint of Matcha just has me with my pinky out wishing I got an Iced Tea as well. What a surprising hidden gem tucked in between Mama Woo's and Wagaya on S King St Sachi's Sweets has caught my eye on a few occasions and this time I had to pull the trigger because I needed a dessert to bring home for our home cooked dinner with a good friend tonight. Love the selection of desserts here at Sachi Sweets but I think you may have to come early for the best selections but when I got here before noon it looked a little bare but there where some items that caught my eye. I definitely love Japan Style Souffle Cheesecakes and they had a few flavors I wanted to try. I got the Ube and Japanese Style Cheesecake's and what Rod U said in his review took the words right out of my mouth. These Souffle Cheesecake's were definitely bigger than other Japanese Patisserie's like La Palme D Or or Cake M. They were definitely bigger in size and not overly sweet and it was light and airy as well. Even my wife and her friend who are from Japan we're suprised how much bigger they were and were very happy with these Desserts which made me very happy. The lady working in the front was very pleasant and for the 4 desserts I got it came out to $24 which to me was a great deal. Hit this place up everyone and I didn't even know they sell Bento's as well. They look pricey but I can tell you that these Bento's are probably made with a lot of traditional ingredients that you woods see at a Bento Shop in Japan. read more

Words can't describe how amazing this place is! This little gem had a nice selection of desserts and I had the chocolate ganache cake and it was gone in less than 5 minutes. My family got a cheesecake slice, a mango soufflé cake, a black sesame tiramisu cup and a strawberry tiramisu cup which were all good as well (I ended up finishing the strawberry cup lol). They also have a nice selection of teas and I got Yuzu Tea, it was so refreshing and just delicious. I was hesitant at first because I thought it would be too tart, but it wasn't. After reading the reviews I have to go back to get the bentos and have to get more things to try just for myself. This place is pretty small and can get busy. The parking lot is pretty small as well but there is street parking which can also be hard to find, but regardless the owner is kind and sweet! Highly recommend either way ! read more

Sachi Sweets is a hidden gem! I've been picking up the mini bento on a regular basis - $15 and absolutely jam packed with flavorful bites of beef, salmon, chicken, along with slightly marinated veggies and fried rice. The selections vary every week, but it's consistently high quality ingredients and always very tasty. But you gotta get there before they sell out - available only on Thursdays and Fridays. The other bento look enticing as well but I always default to the mini bentos. The pastries and drinks are excellent as well. The coffee jelly has a dalgona cream on top (very rich) and the iced teas include home made fruit flavorings (real kine stuff, not just syrups). It brought me happiness when I finally got to try Sachi Sweets. Sachi Sweets opened near the end of 2022 year! it's a dessert and drink shop located on South King Street next to Mama's Woo and by my favorite ramen place, Wagaya! The owner's name is Lani and not Sachi. She explained Sachi means Happiness and it brought me joy just looking at all the delicious sweets ranging from different prices starting from $2! I was excited to try everything so I almost bought them all. Sachi Sweets has many desserts besides their light yet creamy soufflé cheesecake! The regular classic is the star of them all! If you like matcha, Hojicha, choco or ube, they also have cheesecake in those flavors. You can purchase it by the slice, a loaf (when available or by order) or the whole pie! Another favorite was the cream puff filled with ube cream, whipped cream and berries! It was so different and delightful! These individual desserts makes a nice treat for anyone's birthday! For two friends' birthday, I picked up a pretty strawberry tiramisu in a cup! There were some cheesecake pieces inside! She had a delicious decadent Nama chocolates, mango pudding, brownies and chocolate chip cookies too! If you're a fan of Yuzu ice tea or coffee jelly drink, she makes a good one as well! This little shop sells Japanese sweets- perfect to bring over to friends. It's located on the left side of King St, in a little lot where Wagaya (our go-to ramen shop), and Mama Woo's are. Kind of hard to spot from the road so look for St. Mary's church. The lot gets pretty full, especially when Wagaya and Mama Woo is open so you're best bet is to come early before they open or off dining hours. If not, there's metered street parking. Came to get some dessert for a dinner at some friends and came away with treats for ourselves. - Kohakuto $4: an assortment of different flavored little squares of firm jelly with a crispy sugar coating. The jelly wasn't sweet but the sugar coating added the sweetness. Just right! Couldn't stop eating them. -Chocolate nama $6: if you've been to Japan, you are probably familiar with the famous Royce brand. These aren't as smooth and rich but they are VERY close! Smooth and creamy. Now I know where to come when I'm craving nama chocolate ! - Roll cake $8: Very pretty with coffee, ube and cream flavors. Very soft and not too sweet. Great with coffee and tea. - Wagashi $10: 3 pieces decorated with tiny sprinkle of gold leaf or chestnuts (yokan). They're square pieces of bean paste with chestnut. The paste was nice and smooth, the chestnut added texture. If you're hankering for some Japanese dessert, this is the place to come. I don't know why I waited so long to get down here. Maybe it was because I was scared of not finding parking. Whatever the case, I decided to check it a couple of weeks ago, and I've been back 3 times since! I have yet to try a lot of their offerings, but from what I have tried, the strawberry cake and the tiramisu cups are my faves. The strawberry cake is one of the best strawberry cakes I've ever had. The frosting is strawberry-flavored, and the cake is so soft and moist. Highly recommend!! read more
