Fendu Boulangerie is one of those spots that instantly makes you want to slow down and enjoy breakfast. The pastries are beautifully made, the bread has that fresh-baked aroma you hope for, and everything feels thoughtfully crafted. The chocolate croissant and other French-style pastries are especially worth trying, and the menu has enough variety to make it an easy return visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a small neighborhood bakery feel that makes it great for a casual stop or a relaxed morning in Manoa. Service was friendly, and the quality of the food really stands out compared with a typical bakery. I'd definitely come back for coffee, pastries, or a sandwich, and it's the kind of place I'd recommend to anyone looking for a solid local bakery in Honolulu.

Not just pastries... What better place than to have breakfast and/or lunch here as a bakery you know that the bread will be fresh. Located in Manoa Marketplace I've always come up here pretty late so never really had faith that there still would be choices available but since it was before 11am I decided to take a peek. This little cozy spot does offer quite the lovely variety of choices all labeled and prices with easy to browse with huge chunky breads in the back and many pastries behind plexiglass and eyelevel view a gentleman came in only to see that they've already sold out on their scones that broke his heart and pivoted to several other choices. Already had lunch next door I decided to grab a couple of biscuits for breakfast tomorrow which would be a lovely convenience for me and the staff are just nice and patient as I was so indecisive as I did love the choices and will be back for the more glorious tarts and cheesecakes that they have as well. Thank you!

But see now you can see its stacked.

Pretty solid place! Went for a brunch snack after hiking manoa falls. $12 for half a sandwich but it was technically four slices of bread stacked abd folded so technically a whole sandwich. Pretty tasty, pretty filling ! The coffee they had self serve in one of those dispenser so no fancy lattes here. Lots of parking. Service was good and fast. Tables outside. And there was a farmers market on Sunday!

Great fresh baked pastries may be found here! Come early for the best selection! Service is filled with Aloha and your questions happily answered here. Picked up a few scones, a chocolate croissant and something new called a Bostock (Bostock is a classic French pastry made with brioche or croissants soaked in a sweet citrusy syrup. It is similar to French toast.). This one has an almond flavor to it. Food: 5/5 stars Ambiance: 4/5 stars Clean and inviting. Small in size Service: 5/5 stars

    Fuji apple crumble pie.

This used to be my go-to bakery for really balanced sweet desserts. Unfortunately, Manoa has never been a convenient stop for an indulgent danish or tart. But they make everything fresh, without too much sugar, and without hydrogenated oils. Once in a while, when I am in the area, I will stop in for some of my favorites. Their pear tart is served as a rectangular slice. With a buttery crust, and a frangipane base topped with Bosc pear slices, this is the best I have had in the city. There a several Asian bakery chains that do a nice individual sized Fuji apple pie but again, Fendu's version is the best. A mini Fiji apple crumble pie striped with white powdery sugar. A couple of danishes are long time standouts. The lychee streusel danish and the mascarpone pear chocolate danish will satisfy a morning craving for sweet to go with your coffee. And if sweet is not your thing, then the mango scone - a mini two bite wonder that is moist without being wet and a mild mango flavor - is the way to go. Stick with the sweets. Their croissants are not as good as what you can get in Kaimuki. Their breads are fine, but again, you can get significantly better loaves elsewhere these days.

Desserts look beautiful but wats under all of that was not good at all. Cakes are either drenched in sugar water or dry with crispy edges. The mousse is more like gelatin-cream. It's pretty weird. Service from an older female was not to pleasant. She was pushing to purchase more items. I understand the need for upsell but it wasn't in a nice way

"Cake By The Ocean" - DNCE Fendu Boulangerie in Manoa by the mountains, far from the ocean. Any business that has the word "bou" and "gerie" reminds me of "bougie", like expensive or luxurious. It's a bit intimidating to hear that word "boulangerie" and when I say or utter the words, I feel a bit filthy for some reason, like I am a peasant who cannot afford any fancy bougie pastries. In this case, my order was about $65 with yes...THE TIP. I really detest how businesses now require you to put a tip for patronizing their business. Really. If it weren't for this tip crap, this place may have gotten a 5-star. Lychee Streusel Danish $3.50 each, very good! This is one of their most unique offerings, and I have never seen this any other bakery before. Totally loved the flaky, buttery danish with lychees on them. Fabulous! I ordered a bunch of other things, including a lilikoi chocolate mousse which was superb, but the rest, like the berry panacotta was just average.

    Chocolate Dome and a Tiramisu

We stopped by Fendu Boulangerie for dessert and got an adorable tiramisu and a chocolate dome. I am very picky when it comes to my dessert, but both were beautifully crafted and delicious, the perfect little indulgence after a busy day. I also saw some biscuits on their display case that looked fabulous, I wish I got to try them because I still think about that missed opportunity hahah. I would recommend the place!

Solid boulangerie in Mānoa that I'd always make a drive for if I'm in the area! Kind folks and have gotten food and goods multiple times from here. This time we got the croque monsieur panini and basil chicken pesto sandwich and both were good. The croque monsiuer was crunchy and filled with warm and gooey brie and enjoyed it as a solid lunch. They serve brewed coffee and some sodas. It's outdoor seating, so it makes for a great relaxing weekend. Manoa farmer's market is also nearby. Overall, good spot in Manoa that I'd return to for lunch.

Because of Fendu Boulangerie, I'm kinda addicted to their Curried Chicken Salad sandwich. Akways made-to-order and chockful of delicious curried chicken salad. Yum!!!

Guava strawberry cheesecake $6.85 as of 07/27/25.
    Naomi D.

I ordered three items here: a Fendu breakfast panini ($12.50), a guava strawberry cheesecake ($6.85), and a lychee danish (forgot the price but it was less than the other two). Service was quick. Aesthetically, the items were nicely presented. I thought the panini would be a little bigger for the price. There was more egg but little meat. Both the panini and cheesecake tasted ok. The best was the lychee danish. When I come back, I'll try more of the little regular pastries like the lychee danish. When I came, they only had regular from-the-jug kind of coffee here.

Excellent bakery in Manoa Marketplace. We wound up coming here twice during our trip. We got the breakfast panini which was to die for! Chicken, egg, pesto, sun dried tomatoes.. so many of my favorite things all sandwiched between a perfectly crispy sourdough bread. AMAZING! We also got to try the lychee danish which was delicious, a very popular item here but they do sell out, so best to go in the morning. Apple danish was good as well and pineapple scones were also great! Chunks of pineapple! Yum!

Really good breakfast sandwiches. Service is nice and polite. We came early morning, wait was pretty long - 15 min, ok for us. What I would wish the place to have - tables or seats where we could eat food in shade.

Nothing like eating huge sandwiches and the best pizza around! Our office orders takeout frequently from little g's and we absolutely love it here! We usually have place our order a few days in advance to secure our order for the day we want. They do run out fast so it is safer to place the order in advance too. You can order online but after a certain amount it requires you to phone in your order. I didn't grab a picture of everyone's food but this was the two sandwiches I got! The chicken parm is incredible stacked with 3-4 pieces of chicken parm and their red sauce with mozzarella served hot. The Italian has three different meat with cheese and lettuce and bell peppers served cold. These were served with a different grained bread which was a lil different than what we are used to but still really great! Service here is always great and food is always mind blowing with their large portions and fresh ingredients!

After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.
