First visit to Mangiamo Gelato in Midtown Eats. They are the unit closest to Liona Street. Gelato is a nice alternative to other frozen dairy desserts as we approach the Hawaiian Summer. I like them all; ice cream, soft serve, frozen custard... as well as gelato. I got the two scoop cup with Yuzu Sorbetto and Vanilla Bean Gelato. It made for a good contrast - tart and sweet. I've had similar or better vanilla gelato - Mangiamo's was excellent. The real MVP was the yuzu sorbetto. Super refreshing, bit tart. They are open 1130a on weekdays; 1100a on the weekends. Close at 830p, Sundays thru Thursdays...930p on Friday and Saturday nights.

Good way to end the dinner at midtown eats. I have only tried 2 flavors: black sesame and ube. Black sesame was soooo good i like that there are still bits of sesame inside. I couldn't taste the ube much but I guess it's because black sesame overpowered it. Friendly service they let you sample.

Let's eat gelato... Well that's what Mangiamo Gelato means and what better name than that lol! You can find them in the new Midtown Eats on Ke'eaumoku Street which is nice new food court setting with lots of seating and restrooms as well. After meeting up with Nadine C, Gail U, and Jackie K for lunch it got to the afternoon and even indoors with air conditioning it does get quite hot or maybe it's because of my lunch the cravings for some sweet treat was definitely there. I was quite impressed with their selection at this tiny corner spot with flavors like Kona Coffee to several Vegan and Dairy free options as well but I decided on "Staff Favorites" and why not as they sure came up with some creative choices as "Gelato Parfait" was the one with Honey Hawaiian Yogurt base topped with granola and honey drizzle was the best combination and I really enjoyed it. Love the options Midtown Eats has and as it's all credit card no cash at all come give them a visit as getting something so delicious and special is found just here. Thank you!

First time ordering from here. It's the last counter closest to the restrooms. They have the restroom codes printed on a sheet of paper on the side of their counter. They let you taste a flavor before purchasing. I decided to order two scoops per the woman's recommendation. My cup had mango on the bottom and Thai tea on top. Reasonably priced, delicious and just the right amount for an after lunch dessert. I'd definitely order from here again.

Came back for like my 10th time and the other reviewers weren't lying, once you come here once you'll want to keep coming back. The Thai tea and Hawaiian honey yogurt are my go-to combo!! Samples are offered if you are unsure of what you want! You'll understand the rave once you try this place.

Manual Gelato is one of the many stores inside the new food-hall at the Park. They are located all the way in the back right before the bathroom. They have many selections, you can sample them before your purchase. The staffs are friendly. After having dinner at the food hall, it is perfect to enjoy a gelato!

Get your gelato from Mangiamo Gelato at Midtown Eats! Been dying to try this gelateria since my initial visit to Midtown Eats. So glad we finally did as we're hooked now lol. It's located at the mauka end, last counter when entering Midtown Eats parking lot entrance. My fellow gelato lover craved black sesame and was very delighted with her choice. I've ordered Kona coffee and green tea, both great choices. Will be back to try the Hawaiian honey yogurt. Service is prompt and friendly. Stop by and get some great gelato!

How to order. Follow along if you can: - Keiki size equals one scoop. - One scoop equals two scoops of your choice. - Two scoops equals three scoops of your choice. Got it? Very good gelato. Not Italy good but US good. The fior di latte has the pronounced flavor of cow juice, errrr, milk and cream that is the backbone to their offerings. Sweetness is controlled. The Thai coffee would seriously taste like a creamy Thai coffee with the included bitterness. The black sesame, earthy undertones finishing with a rich tahini aroma and roundness. Inexpensive ($6.50 for "one scoop"). Unfortunately, no cones or even a pizzelle for garnish. Friendly service with lots of free samples. A good finish for a meal at this food hall.

Dessert in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located at the new Food Hall called Midtown Eats on the ground level of the Park on Keeaumoku, Mangiamo Gelato is a winner for me! They had SIX dairy-free flavors that I needed to try, so, I visited twice... and got three flavors each day! The "double scoop" serving gets you up to three different flavors for (what I think is) the best deal. My first round included guava, Lilikoi, and chocolate Sorbetto flavors! My second round consisted of yuzu, mango, and li hing pineapple flavors! It's really challenging to select a favorite flavor, so please don't ask me! Haha! Service is always cheerful and friendly! The staff must be very popular because they're the closest to the restrooms! Everyone must pass by this vendor when they go to wash their hands! Plus, their location is next to the Liona Street entrance. Come and see the other creative flavors... like Strawberry Cheesecake... our church secretary really liked it! I also appreciate the free parking. Later, the free parking will be limited to 2 hours. The 3rd hour of parking will just be $1.00. Thanks for the air-conditioned, clean, safe, and well-lit environment! I've brought several friends here and they've all enjoyed this place!

This place has some of the best gelato. We tried it out after dinner at Soul Chicken. A single scoop with 2 flavors is $6.50. We got two of those. One with pineapple li-hing and mango sorbetto. The other with black sesame and Hawaiian honey yogurt. I also sampled their Thai tea and lilikoi. They were all delicious. I had a hard time deciding on which flavors to get. I'm happy with the flavors that we got. Definitely get the Hawaiian honey yogurt. It's my favorite. The guy helping us behind the counter was pleasant. He offered us samples. Their gelatos are not made in house. They get it from a local distributor. The distributor apparently has a lot of gelato flavors. The guy told me that he went and sampled them all and picked out the flavors that he wanted to sell at this food hall. He chose a good mix and variety.

Great service here. Soft opening at Midtown Eats. Mangiamo Gelato means Let's eat or We eat! Gelato refers to Italian or Italian style ice cream. It's located at the far front or end of the food court. Depending on where you start. It's right across the church next to McDonald's. I ordered a Single Scoop cup for $6.50 plus tax. One scoop Kona coffee and one scoop Caramel dark chocolate. The Kona coffee is 5/5 delicious with a good coffee flavor. The caramel dark chocolate was a bit too sweet for me. 3/5 stars. Service was friendly and efficient! Offered a taste of the gelato you wanted to try! Lots of tables and chaired throughout the food court and nearby Mangiamo Gelato. The Ambiance is food court chic. Nice lighting all around. Cement flooring. Bathrooms are located next to Mangiamo Gelato. You will need to ask for a code to access. Currently no parking validation here. Things may change. Currently all vendors are in its soft opening phase. Many changes will occur. I noticed only credit cards were being processed here. Delicious Italian ice cream here. Try some today. Update: I was charged twice for my one scoop of ice cream here. Be sure to check your charges later. Hopefully just a start up error that they will correct. I did submit a dispute for the double charge. Update #2: Once I was able to show the double charges, I was quickly refunded the amount. Thank you Jinny and Lacy for your response and help.

After having lunch right inside Midtown Eats I wanted dessert . Of course Gelato way down at the Mauka side of the food court near the restrooms. Mangiamo Gelato I ordered Oreo Mint it was very creamy and lots of Oreo with a hint of mint delicious. I was full from lunch so I was planning on ordering the Keiki size meaning very small. Luckily I ordered single scoop because It was fairly small . Service was friendly and they also asked if I wanted to sample some of the flavors. I declined because I knew I wanted the Oreo Mint . They roughly have about 12 different flavors so next time when your inside the Midtown Eats why not live a little have dessert lol Support local

I tried the honey yogurt gelato and I'm still thinking about it It was unbelievably creamy and smooth -- you would never guess it's dairy-free. The honey flavor was perfectly balanced: lightly sweet, a little floral, and not overpowering at all. I usually expect dairy-free desserts to taste a bit icy or flat, but this had that rich, velvety texture you want from real gelato. Super refreshing but still indulgent. Honestly one of the best frozen treats I've had in a long time. If you're lactose-intolerant, dairy-free, or just love trying unique flavors, this one is a must. I'd go back just for this flavor alone.

Once they scoop your ice cream, they have a little station where they scrape the peanut drizzle from a big block directly onto your ice cream. Fun to watch! I got the crepe and chose 2 ice cream flavors: blueberry cheesecake and chocolate. My mom got the cup with matcha ice cream. I really enjoyed the crepe! The peanut drizzle was nicely spread throughout the crepe and added a nice touch to the ice cream. The cup wasn't as good in my opinion though because the peanut drizzle was only sprinkled on top and not as generously spread. I would come again, but I would only recommend ordering the crepe option.

This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). Meh: The $14 (including 15% tip) dessert tasted too light and ice-like and appeared more translucent (rather than opaque white) than expected, leading me to think the milk was watered down, which may be how the establishment can make up the cost for the portion size while maintaining a spot in Ala Moana, especially given milk prices in Hawai'i, even if you're buying from Costco or direct from farmers. Also, tables were not cleaned after each party departed; that transparent puddle on your table might not be condensation and may instead be drool drops from the toddler who sat there before you. Overall: Good (not outstanding) experience. Knocked off 2 stars for combination of suspected diluted milk + unclean tables.

You can't help but notice the line…read more Staying directly across the street from the bakery gave me a front-row seat to its daily ritual. Every morning, without fail, people gathered outside waiting patiently for pastries. No flashy signs. No gimmicks. Just quiet consistency. That alone intrigued me. By the second day, my mind was made up. I'm an early riser, so the plan was simple: go on my usual morning run and arrive before the rush. Japanese culture and craftsmanship have long fascinated me. Through close friends with family roots tracing back to Japan, I've developed a deep appreciation for the culture -- the discipline, the rituals, the precision, and the respect for process. There's a beauty in the intentional pace at which things are done. Nothing rushed. Nothing careless. This bakery embodied that philosophy perfectly. The space itself was small, modest, and aromatic. No overdesigned interiors. No influencer bait. Just the comforting smell of fresh bread and butter hanging in the air. Some bakeries hide behind elaborate architecture and presentation, but this place understood something more important: when the product is exceptional, the product becomes the attraction. The pastries ranged from playful and charming to elegant and refined. The Salt & Butter bread was an instant staple -- savory, warm, and impossibly light. The dough practically dissolved like air. Thankfully, nothing felt overly heavy, because I completely lost control of my ordering strategy. The Kobo Kuma -- a soft bear-shaped bun filled with homemade vanilla bean custard -- was perfection. Equal parts cute and comforting. The Cinnamon Roll was solid, but the Haupia pastry completely stole the show. For those unfamiliar, Haupia is a traditional Hawaiian coconut pudding found throughout Polynesia. The flavor here was subtle yet lingering, delicate without disappearing. The kind of flavor that quietly stays with you long after the last bite. Then came the Blueberry Danish -- beautiful, buttery, and perfectly sweet. I didn't even make it to the savory options this time, which honestly just gives me another reason to return. And I absolutely will -- whether back here in Hawaii or perhaps at one of their mainland locations in Los Angeles. Some places become popular because of hype. Others because of quality. This bakery earned its line.
