Came here because I bought a teeth whitening voucher from New Line Smile. They go door to door to businesses and sell these vouchers. At $65 I "thought" it was a good deal being that it also included x-rays and a consultation. On the back of the voucher there's a list of dentist that participate in the program. I chose Dr. Desai because he was near my home. I come in for the consult and x-rays and was then told I can't do the whitening because I have Invisalign and to come back when my treatment is done. Only problem is I still had 10 months to go on my Invisalign treatment and the voucher I bought expired in 6 months :( After numerous phone calls to New Line Smile to see if I can get a refund or a credit or a new voucher with a new expiration date they said I can go back and get the voucher I turned into Dr. Desai's office and they would help me find a dentist who would accept beyond the expiration date , if Dr. Desai wouldn't. So I called Dr. Desai's office to see if he would still accept it and the receptionist said she would have to speak to Dr. Desai about it. The following day I get a phone call from the receptionist saying Dr. Desai would only accept the expired voucher if I got a cleaning done and any other treatment he felt was needed!!! Mind you, I would have to pay out of pocket because they don't take my dental insurance. I just got a cleaning done 2 weeks ago and why would I pay out of pocket for something that I pay insurance for already?!? I felt like he really just didn't sympathize for the fact that I already paid $65 for the voucher and was just trying to make money off of me anyway he could. So sad customer service. read more

I have now been a patient of Dr. Desai for over a year. I know the whole staff because I had a lot of work needed to be done. I felt like they knew me well from day 1. I CANT RAVE ENOUGH ABOUT THE STAFF AND DR. DESAI. The staff are personable, compassionate, very competent, and helpful. Dr. Desai is the perfect example of great "bedside manner." He is so friendly and kind. He cares about you. You're more than a dollar sign to him. They have worked with me despite my very difficult schedule, my financial situation, and two family tragedies in the midst of needing several root canals. I am sure they got annoyed with me periodically bc I would sometimes just not show up. My mental health makes it difficult to navigate daily life sometimes (family tragedies aside). They are aware, and have no problem reminding me about appointments and recreating care plans for me. I suggest you be a better patient than me because that's just a good thing to do, but they treat me with so much respect and care despite my unpredictability. It has made dragging myself to appointments a tad easier. They never shamed me. Not once. Doctors and dentists in the past made me feel so crappy that I wouldn't go back. A common mental health issue is to crumble under shame. Not with them... I've never encountered any medical professionals that are as amazing as Dr Desai and his staff. I am their biggest fan. They're good people. OH! And he has done a great job with my teeth! I've had root canals, tooth extractions, crowns, fillings, and a couple implants done here. I've never been happier with my teeth. I switched to this office because of its close location to my home and have since loved the change. The front office staff offers excellent communication as far as when appointments and follow-ups are scheduled with remainders to keep you updated. The back office/assistant staff are super professional, providing a very comfortable atmosphere for someone like me who, really dreads going to the dentist. Dr Desai is very knowledgeable and skilled and actually shows a real caring for the patient. I've had implants and crowns done, even a root canal and have been completely satisfied with the results. Love this office, been coming here for almost a year, Dr. Sachin and his girls, are amazing, very friendly, professional, and caring. They are aware of what they are doing. Dr. Is really nice and well educated, he makes sure we have an understanding of what we will be going through before we get started on any treatment. His girls are super friendly, Marlene, Wendy, Valerie are awesome, but my favorite would have to be Kelly, she's great! Very on top of things in the office. Overall the office is small, but it makes me feel welcomed and safe. Lol why be in a huge office with empty space? I really recommend this office for all those who are scared of the dentist. I know that nobody likes going to the dentist. My husband needed a couple of extractions and was seen the same day he scheduled the appointment. I was with him. The friendly receptionist invited me for an exam and X-ray for $1. I was due for a check up and accepted. The dentist is very professional, the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I started having tooth pain on Sat Dec 19th, and it was getting worse and worse. By that Monday I needed relief. I visited the first, or FOUR dentists. The tooth that was causing pain was a previous root canal with a crown. The dentist said that he thought I might have a sinus infection, proscribed antibiotics and said the pain should stop. I knew I didnt have a sinus infection but trusted the professional, got the prescription filled and started taking them. Tuesday and Wednesday I went to two other dentists, one each day and neither could help me. The one on Wednesday said I needed an oral surgeon, and the tooth needed to be cut up in pieces to be pulled, and if it wasnt it would likely break into pieces. Thursday, Christmas Eve, I woke up in the worst pain of all. I knew I was not going to find an oral surgeon who would accept my insurance and I was afraid of the cost, but at that point I was willing to pay what I thought would be close to a thousand dollars IF I was lucky enough to find an oral surgeon who was open and willing. I called Dr Desai's office and I was amazed to hear a live person on the other end. I asked if they had an opening and they said yes. I asked if they had happy gas, Nitrous Oxide, and they said yes. I scheduled the appointment and came in a couple hours later. On the first visit the office staff was very friendly, and answered all my questions and concerns. XRays were a breeze as they have the panoramic machine, no biting on this or that, it was simple. When I got into the chair I began to get even more nervous. The dentist came in and introduced himself and I immediately felt a sense of ease, i told him that I brought my pain medication but hadnt taken it because I didnt know if it would react with anything he was giving. I asked if I could take one and he said yes but only if I had someone driving me home. I really appreciated that. He talked to me and looked at my mouth. He allowed me to ask every question I wanted to and I never felt rushed. I explained my nervousness. I remember asking if he was fast, because my tooth needed to be extracted. His answer was that it wasnt about him, it was about me and my level of comfort, that he would work within my comfort. That was the exact answer I needed. I signed consent and we started with the shots to numb my mouth. I was so scared. He explained that this was going to be the hardest part. During the numbing he kept asking if I was ok, and making sure I was ok. I was left alone for about 10 minutes and when he came back they put the happy gas on me. I started feeling the gas and he explained that he was going to check if I was numb enough. I could hear him "digging" around but felt absolutely no pain. I felt him rocking my jaw but before I realized that he was pulling my tooth he had it out. ALL IN ONE PIECE! It was out within seconds, no pressure, no pain, no nothing. I immediately started crying and told Dr Desai that I loved him. HAHA! I was so relieved. He put a single stitch in and I was done. He told me to continue my pain meds as needed and my antibiotics that were already prescribed. I walked into the waiting area and called my ride. The office staff had my brother come up to the office to get me to ensure that I did have a driver and was safe, which I had so much respect for. Today I returned to the office to have a stitch removed that was placed on Christmas Eve. I didnt have a sitter for my two young kids and brought them with me in a stroller. I was in the office 5 minutes total and they were very friendly to my kids. The great part too is that this extraction did not break the bank. It was less than HALF of what I thought it was going to be and I paid extra for the laughing gas because I was so afraid. I think Dr. Desai has helped me with my fear of the dentist and I am forever grateful! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Desai! read more

Dr. Desai will only get 2 stars from me because of what I felt like was pushy sells. I went in for a teeth cleaning which they wanted to bill me for which was weird because my insurance covers basic cleaning. He then proceeds to tell me that I have 6 cavities and they're all "medium" sized, i didn't believe it. I continued asking him about my "6 cavities" for him to the tell me that I have about 3 cavities and most my fillings need to be be replaced which is COMPLETELY different than what he initially said. On top of all that he wanted to to a tooth extraction for $450. I never went through with the teeth cleaning and I went else where for a 2nd opinion and I highly recommend you do the same. I find it hard to find an honest dentist and with all the good reviews he has I was hoping he would live up to it all but unfortunately he left me disappointed. read more

Worst experience of my life, still going through it over 2 months later. Pressured to do extensive work, turns out the work wasn't done properly. Deep fillings, one tooth with exposed nerve, all of them with decay left and filling placed over them. This was told to me by another dentist who has slowly removed the pains all over my mouth one by one. 9 fillings done by Dr. Desai. 2 root canals, 3 fillings later, one more filling pending LATER, work done by new dentist to fix what he ruined. Constant pain would not want this for my enemies. Dont just go to him because he's cheap. The product, and end result shows. read more

Friendly professional staff who only care about your well being. I've always avoided the dentist, and because of that it took a toll on my teeth. Now I need plenty of work done but really honestly Dr. Desai and his staff have made me the most comfortable I've ever been in a dentists chair. They put me at ease and promised me it wouldn't hurt. (They even let me watch Netflix with headphones to drown out the sound of the drill) In the end they kept their promise. No pain. None. My teeth are already significantly better and I couldn't be more grateful. He's helpful and honest with his work. If it doesn't work he doesn't charge you and gives you honest reccomendations on what your better options are. He's literally the best and I will probably not go anywhere else. I think this is one of those cases where if something seems too good to be true, then it is. I went here after reading all of the good reviews about their business and I felt like I could trust them. Long story short, they had me pay for my appointment before it even took place (it was just my consultation). After I left, I realized I didn't want to go back to them for my appointment as I didn't feel like I was in good hands. I called them to cancel my appointment and I asked if I could have that down payment refunded. She said sure and that she'd call me back once it was done. This was weeks ago and she never called me back. They still haven't refunded me my money. Not to mention they continued to push veneers on me when I repeatedly made it extremely clear that I am not some rich person who can casually afford veneers on my teeth and that I don't come from some rich family who can easily pay it for me. To make matters even worse, Dr. Desai was EXTREMELY rude and cold to me. I'm not sure why all of the reviews claim that he is so nice and patient, maybe he just didn't like me personally (even though I was extremely kind and easygoing with him and all of his staff). But he was really rude and not warm at all with me. They also made me feel really insecure about my teeth which I don't even think are that bad. Yes, they could use some work with just minor enameloplasty (which a kind dentist has fixed for me for only $50), but they wanted to push expensive procedures onto me and they kept doing that even after I blatantly told them no. I'm so glad that I trusted my instincts and didn't go back to this place, and I will definitely be calling my credit card company if I'm not refunded within the next day or so so that I can get my money that they essentially scammed out of me. It's all up to you, but I wouldn't go to this place despite all of their good reviews. This taught me a big lesson that just because a place is raved heavily about, it doesn't mean that it's necessarily honest and helpful. He's honestly just a grumpy rude person who only cares about money and not his patients, and his staff are a bunch of greedy money hungry people who sell, sell, sell unnecessarily expensive things that you clearly state you don't want. read more

I went to see Dr. Sachin Desai for the first time for a much needed deep teeth cleaning. I called and was able to get an appointment that same day. I compared his prices with my regular dentist and Dr. Desai's prices were much much much cheaper (I could not believe it). I had a wonderful experience. I loved the modern technology. I had previously heard WONDERFUL things about Dr. Desai, and since I had not been to the dentist in about 17 years or so, I figured I would give him a shot. I was a bit nervous, but the receptionist girls are extremely friendly and welcoming. Dr. Desai is amazing! He truly cares about the well being of his patients! Friendly staff. Appointments are easily made and wait tme to see the dentist is usually about 5 minutes or less. Dr. Desai is patient, communicates well, and is pretty quick. He is very up front about the dental work that needs to be done and works with you in terms of payment. I typically do not write reviews but my experience was so bad I had to warn others. I came to Dr. Sachin's dental office because of proximity to my home, and decent yelp reviews. He was to preform an implant surgery and give me a porcelain molar. It was a very painful experience. My mouth wasn't completely numb before he started the surgery, and he was not very gentle it left my mouth and face feeling swollen and throbbing with pain. A couple of weeks later (it takes that long for the tooth to be casted) he placed it, and it was painful. A week later the tooth became loose and he had had to break it of my mouth. He does not have nimble fingers, it was painful!! a couple of weeks later the new tooth came in he palced it and it became loose again! He had to break the tooth off again!! This happend a total of 3 times. I was furious!! I went months with out having a tooth, a lot of pain and money lost. He had no remorse... I do not recommend him. I had to go to a different dentist to fix his poor job. read more
