Other patrons were also kind and respectful. I enjoyed my stay here even if other things outside of these doors were stressful. Thank you for your help and support.

They didn't have no hot water or heater and they didn't fix it until 2 weeks later. They didn't charge us for 2 weeks since there wasn't not heat or hot water. They fixed everybody heaters and hot water, but ours. Our hot water was working but not the heater and it's raining so much and it's so cold in there, they asked for money and we told them why do we have to pay if the heater doesn't work and to go check it out for themselves it's like a ac in there and they said ok and then they called the cops on us when they said they were gonna send somebody to look at the heater and then the front office said oh everybody heaters work I need money now and we paid them and then 2 minutes later they came to the door with the police again and said here take ur money back the staff doesn't want u guys here too many complaints but we've never interacted with the staff or anybody , most of the time we be at the hospital with our son. A Parent Getaway That Turned Into a Night We Won't Forget -- Unfortunately…read more So... where do I even start? My wife and I booked a night here as a little parent getaway the night before our 15th anniversary. We weren't looking for anything extravagant. We just wanted a quiet, comfortable night away from the kids to relax, sleep well, and enjoy a little time together. Unfortunately, this stay missed the mark in several ways. First, the property was under construction, and there was no warning about it on the app when we booked. Construction happens -- I completely understand that. But guests should know beforehand so they can make an informed decision. Then came the parking situation. Finding parking was a challenge, which certainly didn't help the first impression. The customer service was okay, but nothing that really stood out. The room itself was pretty basic, which would have been perfectly fine if the basics had actually been comfortable. Then we turned on the TV... and everything had a blue tint. We tried to fix it, but there were essentially no usable picture settings available to correct it. We reported the issue, and I was told I would receive points as compensation for the inconvenience. Well... I'm still waiting on those points. And then there was the bed. Unfortunately, neither of us got the good night's sleep we were hoping for. The bed just wasn't comfortable enough for us, and when you're specifically trying to get away for one night and recharge, that's kind of a big deal. The location, however, is a bright spot. You're close to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and other things to do, and you're not too far from downtown. The location definitely has potential. But breakfast took things in an even more disappointing direction. My wife went downstairs for something simple -- a bagel and some orange juice. The orange juice was apparently old and tasted horrible. She was concerned enough that she thought it may have been moldy. That's not something I can independently confirm, but the fact that the juice was bad enough to raise that concern is something management should absolutely investigate. Management -- this is your opportunity. I don't leave negative reviews just to complain. I actually think this could have been a much better stay with a little more attention to the details. Construction needs to be communicated before booking. Rooms need to be checked when guests report equipment problems. Promised compensation needs to actually be delivered. And food and beverage quality -- especially something as basic as orange juice -- needs to be taken seriously. We chose this hotel because we wanted one simple night to relax before celebrating 15 years of marriage. Instead, we left feeling like we spent our getaway troubleshooting a TV, searching for parking, fighting with an uncomfortable bed, and wondering what happened to the promised points. The location is good. The potential is there. But this particular stay was unfortunately more memorable for the wrong reasons. Hopefully someone from management actually reads this, looks into the issues, and makes sure the next couple looking for a peaceful anniversary getaway has a much better experience than we did. 2 stars from us. The location saved this from being lower.

We stayed in the Happiness Loft, which was cute and unique. The pictures do note that it's not ideal for tall guests, and that's true -- the ceilings are quite low, but it worked fine for us. The highlight of our stay was definitely the spa. I had one of the best massages of my life, and the couples massage experience was wonderful. That said, it was on the pricey side, as was the room rate, though the charm of the property sets it apart from many other Sacramento options we looked at. Breakfast was good, but at $30 per person, it didn't feel like the best value compared to other places we've stayed. The biggest downside for us was the location -- while the hotel itself is lovely, the surrounding neighborhood didn't feel like a place where we could walk around and explore, so we found ourselves driving elsewhere for dinner and activities. Parking was also limited. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and are glad we experienced it. The service, cleanliness, and spa treatments are excellent, but for the price point, I'd likely explore other options next time. For us, this felt like a solid three-star experience.

The server told us they operate out of a food truck. So the menu is limited. But what they make is really good! We ordered the lemonade, chicken and waffles, huevos rancheros divorciados, and the strawberry champagne sherbet. Service was very prompt! The actual menu in-person had a couple items that aren't on the sample menu including a couple more dessert options like fig ice cream. We really liked everything we tried! The portions were pretty good. If coming here for food I'd recommend getting here early since food trucks have limited capacity. You're welcome to stroll around the property both the flower farm and the inn side before or after your meal. The parking situation is a gravel lot. So it may not be the most handicap accessible place. We had a lot of fun stopping by Park Winters. They were setting up for a wedding so the inn side would have been closed for the event starting at 1pm. The check also came with a small map of the property for you to keep. This was very helpful in exploring the property. The only caveat is this is the countryside. Wear long pants or be prepared with insect repellent! Even at 10am in the summer my legs were bitten by mosquitoes. (Type O blood. Mosquito magnet here.) I'd like if they burned some citronella candles to help with mosquitoes. The rest of the dining venue was so thoughtfully designed including timed misters (like at theme parks) to help keep the area cool. Definitely check it out if you're curious or in the area.

They comped the meal, and we didn't ask for it; we only wanted to split the check, which was a policy that was never discussed, but their system could do it. So they decided to comp the check, given the many issues. Then the manager calls me after we leave, leaves a message, and says, very passively aggressive, "We comped your meal, but you did not leave the server a tip." Servers live off tips. But don't worry, we took care of her tip. Have a good day." Umm, excuse me? I was a server for over 7 years. First of all, I wouldn't expect a tip after the establishment that failed me by not ensuring they had adequate kitchen supplies to keep a Mother's Day up and running. Additionally, I would have added more staff to the day, which would of course be very busy. And lastly, how are we tipped when you comped the bill and walked away, and nobody had cash? We did not ask for the bill to be comped. So for future reference, dear John I don't recommend calling your customers and bullying them over voicemail. You're the problem, not us.

It was a small room but worked for me. It was clean and the bed was comfy. I was fortunate in that the temperature that night was 57 degrees and 88 degrees during the day. I was told that in previous days, the temperature during the day reached 107! The room did have a little fan. The shared bathroom and showers were clean. I met a few foreign visitors in the kitchen. One young female was working on her computer in one of the common rooms. Other than seeing 2-3 other guests, I pretty much had the whole place to myself. It was really neat wandering around to look at all the stuff in the place. At 10 pm., everything gets quiet. Even the music from the nearby festival went quiet. I walked about 8 minutes to a Thai restaurant, called Hiso, which had great food. There are homeless people in the vicinity. I felt safe as the walk took me past some really expensive homes. Lots of people were out walking their dogs. Just be aware of your surroundings. I decided to walk across the street from a spot where some homeless person had set up a tent. I also watched out for people on scooters and bicycles. Parking is available within a gated enclosure by the alley and next to the hostel. That greatly gave me some peace of mind. The young man at the front desk was helpful and professional. Two items of note: 1) you need to remove the bedsheets and pillow cases and deposit them into the baskets by the front desk. Not a big deal to do. 2) you do need to climb stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Not a hassle unless you are older and/or have mobility issues. Or if you have heavy luggage to haul up. Overall, it was a good experience. I would definitely come stay here again. I'm glad I tried this hostel out. Oh, when I read up on the building, I found out that it was a funeral home at one time. I didn't get any creepy vibes. I zonked out and had a good night's rest.
