We've been trying to get in contact with them for about a week and a half through calls, texts, and even by visiting their office in person, only to find out that no one is actually there. The contact information listed online didn't seem reliable, and we were given different numbers to try instead, which only added to the confusion. I do want to highlight that Adam was great, he was responsive and got back to us in a timely manner. However, he isn't able to assist with property-specific inquiries, so we were referred to Jesse multiple times. Despite being told on more than one occasion that Jesse would reach out, at one point even the same day, we never heard back and were left waiting days without any follow-up. At this point, I can't imagine the amount of loss occurring due to this kind of lack of communication. Since then, we've moved on and are now working with another property management company and are in the process of signing. Overall, this experience has been disappointing, especially when we were genuinely interested in moving forward. It made the process unnecessarily stressful and left a poor impression of the company as a whole.

Better communication from your part would have been incredibly helpful throughout this experience. Not leaving someone to wonder if "applications have been received" or if they are "under review", or the only response you receive is "owner decided to go a different rout", only after you get their attention by submitting a bad review. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize that simply editing a comment or response does not fix the underlying issues or make the situation right. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve your transparency and responsiveness for future applicants. Have the day you deserve

    After all of this had happened. I felt like it was some kind of unconditioned with sibling such as…read moremetaphorical kind of way. After a while, I started to see Dan, he showed up and showed him around. He explained how it work between with any Property Management and the owner while requesting for any work repair. There was one lady whom suppose to work with me named Stephanie (long story, but let me make it short simplifying thing), she mentioned she talking with owner for the past approximately 4-5 months , therefore no result. That how I was about to get Dan which I finally meet him. He fired that lady, Stephanie, then got another person. That all good. I rather reach out to Dan for any quicker responses. He is the main person. So, things happened, got things settle, and made a good deal for me for one month. It wasn't a bad deal and got most of the thing fix like ceiling fan in living room, replacement 2 fans/light upstairs, fix heather, eh, it was all taken care off. Alright then, that my simply journey story. I end up staying another year but more likely stay here 3 more year for the kids school. All that thing being happening, henceforth one I recommend go through it, however always get Dan or each out to him. Someone might help, but he is the one you actually need to take things care of. I initially toured the property with the current tenants, who were able to give me a good idea and feel of the neighborhood, property management and their overall experience. It seems like an odd idea, current tenants touring prospective tenants, but it's actually invigorating and you get a good sense of what you're getting yourself into. From the moment of leaving the property and being immediately contacted by the leasing manager via text, to the application process being processed expeditiously, to the lease signing....it has been seamless! The customer service is unmatched. Paying the deposit and rent online is quick and easy. This has been a great experience and I would definitely recommend this company to others.

    Emailed ZipRent to tour a rental property. I was told I had to schedule a visit online and upload a…read morephoto of my ID. I emailed back saying I was not comfortable uploading my ID onto a random website and I'd be happy to come into the office and show it in person to verify my identity. I was then ghosted. Edit: after posting my 1 star review (which was 3 days after the original emails), I was called immediately and told there is no office and no way to show my ID other than to upload a picture of it online. While the person I spoke with was nice, there was no solution. If you want to view one of their listings you have to put your private info online, unfortunately. I recently had my identity compromised and am extra careful now about what I put online. While I completely understand that management companies need to vet the people viewing their properties, not being able to have an in-person option makes me uncomfortable, personally.

Communication is almost non…read moreexistent until you complain about random maintenance showing up unexpectedly in your backyard with no prior notice. Unexpected work for months that was never discussed prior to moving in and then blamed the landlord and workers for not even letting us know the work had been finished over a month prior yet we were not allowed to use our premises (confirmed myself with the construction company who said Keyrenters was aware) Upon moving out, they also will keep money for repairs and promise to give receipts (CA law) and then they ghost and block you right after you move. Myself and other tenants have moved strictly because of this company and how awful they are with privacy, communication and unlawfully keeping your money without any proof or receipts (AB2801). Notice how their good reviews only come from landlords because they do not give a shit about tenants AT ALL.
