I also enjoy the weight room and the very faithful members that are there every morning, helping me maintain my routine! Tons of pickleball and tennis to explore as well. They have two pools - an outdoor on and an indoor one. They call it "Open Air" but the fact is, it's indoors. They have a bunch of limitations on availability for the Outdoor Pool. But I'm retired and every time I look to reserve a lane there is ALWAYS times available. They keep the temperature of the pool nice - even in the colder times. The place is well kept. The gym is nice. They have plenty of treadmills. bikes and elliptical machines, they have a full line of exercise equipment and weight machines and every time I'm there it's never crowded. They have tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball court, jacuzzi and a wading pool. It's a little pricy - but everything seems to be these days. They have a HUGE schedule of classes and events. They have classes from A to Z (Ab Blast to Zumba) and everything in between. They have special events like Parent's night Out. There's a childcare area so the Parents and work-out with crafts and fun things to do, a kids play area with a slide and stuff. They have a bunch of Barbecues to use so you can set up a party with your family on the beautifully kept lawns. They have a swim team, swimming lessons, even a book club. Just about anything you want to do. Everyone that works there is always friendly with a smile and a greeting. They are always looking to be as accommodating as possible. Oh - and they also have a Senior Discount for those of us that qualify.

Wow... only 9 reviews??…read more This is one of the better Anytime Fitness locations in the Sacramento region (I prefer the one out on Zinfandel since it has a free bench, this one is assisted). One of the lesser crowded locations and you can usually come into it empty after evening or early morning which is nice. The folks in the office are always nice and acknowledge me with a smile or ask how it's going. The equipment is great and the air condition (critical for sweaty workouts!) are always on and working and the fans are awesome too. They keep it warm for winter too, really clean and well-kept place. Definitely a fun place to workout and plenty of parking spots!!

I have been trying to join this gym for several weeks, and unfortunately, what should have been a…read moresimple process has turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. I live and work very close to the gym, so when my previous gym contract expired, I was genuinely looking forward to joining a facility that would be more convenient for both home and work. Unfortunately, I have found it surprisingly difficult to even get through the door. The gym doors are locked, and access depends on staff being present. The posted "staffed hours" are clearly listed on the door, but they do not seem to correspond with when anyone is actually there. Over the past two weeks, I stopped by three separate times during those posted staffed hours. Each time, no one was there. I knocked, waited outside, and called the gym, but received no response. I then submitted a contact form through the website and received an automated email saying that someone would be in touch soon. No one contacted me. I called again and left another message, and again, I received no response. At that point, I began to wonder whether the gym was closing or experiencing some larger issue. I looked at the reviews and noticed that the owner, Jason, appeared to be friendly and responsive to customers publicly. He had also shared his email address, so I decided to reach out to him directly in the hope that I could finally get some clarity and simply become a member. Unfortunately, my experience in private was very different from what I had seen in his public responses. While Jason was responsive, his emails came across as dismissive and defensive rather than helpful. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the fact that I had spent weeks repeatedly trying to contact the gym, despite making every effort to become a paying customer. Much of the conversation centered on defending the gym's staffing situation rather than addressing the very reasonable concern that the posted staffed hours did not appear to reflect when staff were actually present. I ultimately spent another two days going back and forth just trying to find a time when I could come in, sign up, and join. After nearly three weeks of trying, I decided that the amount of effort required simply to become a customer was no longer worth it. That is the part I find most disappointing. I wanted to support a local business, and I was actively trying to give them my business. It should not be this difficult for someone to become a paying member. I am heading to In-Shape today to sign up instead. It is a little farther from home, but at this point, I would much rather deal with a business that makes it reasonably easy for prospective customers to actually become customers. I hope the gym takes this feedback seriously. The issue is not that I expected special treatment; I simply expected the posted "staffed" hours to be accurate, my calls and messages to receive a response, and a straightforward membership inquiry to be handled with basic courtesy and professionalism.

Unfortunately, I had to give up my my membership after 6 years due to many factors! Rio del Oro only caters to kids which I completely understand! The only issue is the kids run the place and some of their parents support their bad behavior! I have observed over the years teenagers throwing heavy weights in the pool, a chair thrown in one of the pools, kids crossing lanes to interrupt adults doing lap swims, a young kids yelling as I went for another lap tell his mother mom that I said she was a bitch... I told her it didn't happen.. some dude told her that I didn't like didn't like kids A friend who was a member approached her to let her know she was absolutely beautiful and I never said this... I was accused of hating kids and that I couldn't speak English... etc... Along with saying do you know who I am... Unbelievable! Another member who was 20 minutes late, I let him know he lost his lane.. he got his in my face.. I kept on swimming at which time he tried to crash into me with his body to hurt me! No deck personnel to facilitate the rules! I have written so many incident reports... what's written on the schedule can change out on the deck. The masters swim took over the big pool when they are supposed to be in the 6 lane pool! I have felt like I was in the twilight zone me at this Club! The staff are wonderful.. Like I was told many times by the staff, I only work here.. they said we are the last to know... The staff makes Rio Del Oro awesome.. it's management failing to have deck personnel to rein in the kids and their parents! I have moved on to another gym which takes care of unruly kids and their parents! By the way, I have never ever written a bad review in my lifetime... I spent tons of time at Rio Del Oro that what I observed is the truth.. Rio del Oro Management will respond with their classic statement that this a family oriented club...
