Avoid this shop and its owner Dean Lute at all cost. He is a con artist and a thief. Sacred takes good parts off of customers trucks and resells them to other customers. I don't really do reviews but I felt compelled to post this one. My husband is a distributor for Mrs. Bairds and Bimbo bread. He delivers to grocery stores in the middle of the night to ensure his products are on the shelf by the time the stores open. He works for himself and we are dependent on his vehicle running well do it's job. Saturday morning the intake downward pipe on this Diesel truck popped off. After several tries to fix at 2 in the morning, the last resort was to rig it and drive 20 mph to each stop hauling his load to avoid it from popping out again. It is Saturday-later in the morning and looking for a repair shop that either carries the kit or clamp needed to do the repair. After 9 hour shift and 20 calls, I get a text and a call back from Robert at Sacred Motor. His business was closed but he offered a lending hand. He offered suggestions, places to buy the part and followed up with us. It was a T Bolt clamp that could be the problem. We didn't need a full kit. We finally found the part but putting it on was tricky. Robert worked with us over the phone with texting pictures and being on the phone guiding us on the installation. It FINALLY worked!!!! We don't know Robert, we have never visited his shop, and I am still not sure how or why he helped us. What I can say is from one business owner to another, we are entirely grateful to you for getting us back on the road. Robert didn't ask for anything from us but I thought what better way to show appreciation than to post our story and promote a man who went above and beyond for complete strangers. This is the worst place to ever take a vehicle to have work done. Dean had my truck for a year after promising to fix it. Paid him $5000 and no work was ever done. Nothing but the run around and a bunch of lies. Lies in person and over the phone. Went to his shop several times and one time going there I asked to see my truck. The tech shows me my truck in the field in the back with no motor. So I ask to see my motor and he shows me a dodge motor. Let dean know that I knew it wasn't my motor and I was tired of the lies. Again more lies. Then he fired the tech. After time went on making payments on my truck that wasn't even being working on I gave up. The pictures are of my truck buried in the back of his lot that he told me was in the shop for months. Nothing but lies. After getting no where with dean and him stealing my $5000 I finally called the bank and told them to pick it up, I was not paying on it anymore. The pictures of parts in the bed of the truck are what he put in there to send with the tow truck. Wasn't even my motor. The serial number was way off. He just through what he had in his shop. Dean is nothing but a crook. If you take your truck there he will take a part off your truck to put on another truck then put another used part on your truck. All he does is robs peter to pay Paul. Don't let dean fool you he does not know what he is doing and he will steal from you in some way. His service manager even wanted to find a way to swap my motor out with a dealerships truck and let there insurance cover it. If that doesn't tell you what kind of thrives they are I don't know what will. There are a few dealerships that use them in the area so be careful who you buy your truck from. Avoid this place at all cost. I had high hopes for this establishment but their lack of quality and professionalism quickly changed my mind. My dodge truck was losing power and they confirmed it was the clutch fan. I JUST HAD THE FAN INSTALLED BY DEALER. I paid $335 for labor as I had purchased part. Upon leaving my truck lost power again. Then they said it was the alternator and my track bar needed to be replaced. Paid them $800 plus dollars. After putting on track bar they never aligned my truck now my steering is cockeyed. In addition. They broke screw that holds down fuse box and removed several plugs. Now my truck is sputtering, still losing power. Moreover, while driving in heavy traffic on interstate, my truck shut off. Luckily I was next to swale and was able to pull over. This moment could have been catastrophic. Ended up taking truck to dealer, who pointed out all the shotty work like loose bolts, broken parts, unneeded repairs and on and on! I contemplated filing a lawsuit but I've wasted enough money here. Afterwards, I started reading others horror stories about this establishment. I should have done this first. My family and I were long time customers of Deans. He even was thought of a a family friend...We had been using Dean since before he even opened Sacred Automotive...but let's just say he was not the honest upstanding person we thought he was. Shortly after he opened his shop we got a phone call from a lawyer asking us about the work Dean had done for us for multiple vehicles....He was being INVESTIGATED for STEALING, FRAUD and lying about several things associated with the work he has done for his customers and his Bussiness... and pocketing huge amounts of money...I would never use him again if I were you...also his business is NOT accredited by the BBB. STAY AWAY! He is arrogant and rude and not what he seems, and it honestly was so sad for us to learn this about him and his co workers and business. read more

Took my truck to these guys to get it fixed because Dean who I believe its the owner talked really pretty to me on the phone regarding my truck and convinced me to pull my truck from another diesel shop in Houston. Took my truck to them and after them "seeing" my truck after a few days they said they would call me back within 2 hours to tell me what was wrong. Day passed by I assumed they got busy and didn't want to bother. A week passed by and every time I would call they would tell me the same story. Finally after almost 2 weeks i am told what is wrong with it and was told that it would be $3200 out the door. I agreed and they began working on repairing it. 2 days later i am told that it's ready and now they tell me that it's $3700 was told by Chris that Dean always overrides him. I don't like arguing so I paid over the phone and had my wife pick up the truck. When I get home I see the receipt on the amount og $3800 that was charged on my card. WOW just wow. I asked for a detailed invoice on what exactly I was billed for and labor costs. They just provided an invoice stating what they did with no explanation on charges just a total amount. Had gearbox replaced Nut came off gearbox about 4000miles later ......good thing I wasn't on the highway ended up on the side of the road with no steering and sideways on street.......if you want to potentially die go to these guys ..... read more

Do not take your truck to these worthless thief's they stole parts from me and had my truck for over a year for a engine rebuild I had to call them constantly just for them to do something but they took my money up front no problem Robert lied to me the whole time I ended up having a horrible oil pan leak that cost 3k to have another shop fix they installed the arp studs wrong and valve lash was backwards (smh) now my engine ticks at idle with only 3k miles and they told me my transmission was bad but after putting a 6k trans in it I was having the same issues it ended up being a $50 plug on eBay that I had to fix myself after spending about 20k oh and they stole my brand new flexalite fan relay and put a auto zone relay on it for some reason so if you don't want to get screwed and you love your vehicle do not take anything to them they will put you in debt read more

Mechanic Robert is a liar and thief and has ruined Deans business. All work done is extremely slow and repairs are done without customer authorization and without being told any work is being performed and they will not call to tell you what if any work needs to be done....they will just do it and expect you to pay for it. I've taken several trucks to Dean, and Robert has worked on one of them also. They have done repairs for me on an F-350 V-10, Dodge Ram 3500 5.9 turbo diesel, an RV with a Cummins ISL, They do very good work. Yes, they are hard to reach on the phone, and yes, they are fairly slow to get work done, but they've been right on the diagnostics, given me good estimates, always done good work, and the one time I had a problem after a tune up, they got right on it, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. If they got their front office working well, I'd give them 5 stars. If you've got a truck and need it fixed, I would recommend them. read more

This is the 3rd time to revise this review. We bought a truck from Texas Truck Sales in Dickinson just less than three months of purchasing it. The twin turbos blew on it which it's an F350 6.4 twin turbo diesel. Hubby spoke to Chris about his research on it possibly being the turbos. Chris told him he believed he was right and gave him a cost on replacing them. The original estimate was more than what they charged us and 30 miles after picking it up, it broke down again.. with hubby, our daughter, son in law and grandbaby in it on 45 going in to Galveston. A friend picked up the kids and they came back with their vehicle while hubby waited for the tow. After Sacred looked it over, they said it was the bearings that went bad. Possibly, this was also a problem when the turbos blew but we didn't get any word on it. We had our tow driver head up there to pick it up and they staled him 20 minutes while Robert called hubby to try and make it right by offering to open the motor and see what happened. Almost two weeks and truck was still sitting in same spot. With a payment to the finance company coming due, we needed to know something pretty quick. No word from them so we moved it since we are worried about past reviews in very slow progress and stealing parts. We should have taken it to PSE to begin with! Very crappy work on a $2200.00 fuel injector pump repair. Module was tie strapped to the wheel well with no heat sink. Battery cables were left loose, hose clamps were left loose, injector pump timing was off and a fuel leak. I took the truck back 2 times and the last time they had it for nearly a month. They were very rude and did not treat Me like they even wanted to work on my truck. In all it was a terrible experience. Do not use this shop! I am going to have to get this repair redone at a different shop. read more
