Then, the coach explained the rules and provided demos of how to throw with one hand and both hands behind and over the head. He was very friendly and provided tips and tricks throughout our session to improve our aim. Despite using a hatchet, which is meant for one hand, I thought it was too heavy so I had to use both hands. If you have enough arm strength, one hand is better because you can line up the axe with the target, which helps improve your aim. It was definitely harder than it looked and felt like a full body workout! The axe handles and targets looked a little run down. The guy at the front desk was really nice and patient with me while I was busy taking pictures instead of signing my waiver . They provided us with jumpsuits, masks, and gloves before we went in. The smashing area was a lot smaller than I expected. I thought it would be an actual room, but it was more like an enclosed area surrounded by wooden walls with a tarp over us to help keep all the debris and glass contained. Before we started, the guy explained everything, went over our options, and made sure we knew what we were doing. We had about 20 minutes to let loose and smash everything in sight! We smashed glass bottles, coffee cups and even a windshield. They also gave us different things to smash everything with, and we even got to use a paint gun. My girl and I had a lot of laughs doing this. It was definitely something different for a date, and I'm glad she planned it for us. Sometimes it just feels good to break some stuff! One piece of advice: WEAR OLD SHOES! Wear something you don't care about or wouldn't mind throwing away. By the time you're finished, you've been walking around on a lot of broken glass and debris. I definitely didn't want to track any glass into my car or house, so afterward I put my shoes in a bag. Overall, this was a really fun experience and a great date idea. I only wore their headgear, and the helmet hasn't even touched my face. I was stunned. I literally said, "Whoa, I can smell the last person that wore this."
