We know that our daughter is always supported and loved, and she has adored her teachers in each of the classrooms she has entered. The school has a good balance of learning and play, and as our child has moved into the toddler wing, there are more and more interactive activities for her to do. The leadership builds community within the families and really loves when they are involved, and they are also communicative about issues/changes to schedules, etc. We have had few problems, but when something comes up, the issue is handled right away. One of the things that we love is the diversity within the school and the celebration of so many different holidays. We get to share some of our traditions and traditions we get to learn about the other students', which is something that we had been looking for in a school. We are so so happy that our child is at Meadows, and we look forward to our continued relationship with her school!

This has truly been more than just a school for her--it has been like a second home. The administration is incredibly supportive and always available to help, making the entire experience smooth and reassuring for parents. The teachers are absolutely amazing--caring, patient, and dedicated. My daughter adores them and speaks about them with so much love and excitement. She has grown tremendously, both academically and socially, during her time here. She has made wonderful friends and developed essential social skills that will benefit her for years to come. One of the things I love most about The Learning Experience is the amazing curriculum. She has learned so much--phonics, numbers, community events, philanthropy, and even manners. They incorporate so many fun and engaging activities, such as book fairs, pajama days, pizza parties, dress-up days, and spirit weeks, making learning exciting and enjoyable. On top of all that, as a parent of a child with multiple allergies, I truly appreciate how well they have cared for her. The teachers I encountered have no compassion or professionalism. The after 5pm teacher confronted me in the middle of class in front of the other children and teacher about why my daughter didn't follow instructions. Please note I have never met this teacher, she did not introduce herself to me and my child shouldn't have been in that classroom to begin with because arrived at 4:45pm, the children are moved here after from 5pm-6pm for pickup. The director encouraged me to have my child Evaluated by her doctor because she doesn't make eye contact with her (keep in mind she spent little time with my daughter because she was filling in for one of the teachers assigned to my daughter class who left early because she was sick) am not someone that can not take criticism or feedback about their child, but I find it extremely egregious to only spend 2 days with a child who is also 2 years old in a new environment with new people and classmates and suggest that there is something medically wrong with them. My daughter was given no acclamation period and no sympathy. I emailed them a notice to withdraw and never heard back from them. The app they use was not updated accurately, there were pictures posted on my daughters profile that did not include her in the picture. I wasn't notified that she peed on herself or that she didn't eat her lunch. The tour I was given was false advertisement and I would not suggest enrolling your kids here.

Honestly this was the most stressful year of my life. My son only attended for one semester. My son…read morehas a learning disability. The school psychologist and the DOE reps assured me he would continue getting his services at this school and then some to make sure he has support. I was infuriated when into Christmas break i was told me son never got his treatment. I had his IEP meeting at the school before i even enrolled him (May 2019). Even after asking his teacher Ms. Fuller about his therapy schedule vs. regular class schedule back in Sep. 2019, she assured me he was getting his treatment. All lies. Then his class teacher Ms. Phillips didn't give me the warm and fuzzy feeling. I asked her on day one what will the day look like? I wanted to be able to ask my son after school to further help him in his communication skills. All she could say was she doesn't know; she wants to hide in the bathroom all day since there is no plan. I was floored, first child - first school day and all summer long no planning?? I didn't even get a supply list till a month in. Last thing to turn me off from the school was the principle. Ms. Soussoudis does not want to better the school. That's the vibe she gave me. I signed up as part of the PTA. Not only was this organization in the school taken as a joke there was no system in place for anything. But that didn't discourage me. After months of having a PTA again the other moms and i had a plethora of ideas. When we finally got a chance to sit down and discuss it, the principle said to our faces "i Love the idea. I'm sure both the school and facility would love it as well. However, i have a lot on my plate. So what ever it is you have planned. If it works do it but i want no part of it". The other moms and i looked at each other and once we got back to our office. And sadly that was the last day for us. We have jobs, families and other responsibilities that trump any PTA duty. Yet we wanted to do it and make things fun for the kids. I wanted to be the involved mom so my son can succeed. But if the principle doesn't care why should we? That day i decided i will no longer give the school a chance. Also having a gym with no working water fountains, class ratios of 44-58 students to 1 teacher is a major liability. The gym teacher herself told me this and showed me the classes. Not to mention isnt Lorraine Hansberry a well known writer? And the school doesn't do anything/much for black history month. This was disappointing. Also someone needs to help Ms. Bolla with some courtesy training. Her way of speaking is demeaning and she's not fully capable of listening for some reason. I don't know if she's set in her ways at her age but it's not appropriate. Sadly i wouldn't recommend this school to an enemy. Each child's future should be taken more seriously than how this school handles things.

He has learned so much. I attribute his behavioral turn around in part to the staff here. When he started, he would throw daily tantrums but not anymore. The women who work there care for him as though he were their own child. They are mostly middle aged to older women who believe in a balance of being stern and having rules and time out when necessary but also love and compassion. They work tirelessly every day and don't lose their patience in situations where I surely would. I know upon first glance, it may look like an old home. It doesn't have all the glitz and gloss of some newer, fancier daycares. But it does have what many of them don't. It has heart. If you're looking for a daycare that makes you feel like you just dropped your kid(s) off at your grandmother's house, this is it. The kids all have what they need- love.

We love the school so much that I sucked it up for a full year and made two 24 mile round trips per day so my daughter could graduate there. We tried one of the large well known chains and there's no comparison. Busy Bee's small, family owned school made me feel like I was dropping my kids off with family.

It was a rollercoaster of an experience for us so I wanted to share a very honest review and include both pros and cons for those of you looking for a daycare for your littles: PROS - Hours: Households with working parents will find the long hours at TLE extremely helpful - Food: Lunch is included with tuition and the quality/options are decent - Location: Very conveniently located in the heart of Waldwick with a large parking lot; interior space and playground are very roomy and well equipped - Cost: Very fairly priced compared to other daycares in the area - Ms Val (Toddlers) and Ms Claudia (Preppers): These 2 teachers happen to be exceptional there, and their care for and attention to the children is unmatched CONS - Staff: With the exception of Ms Val and Ms Claudia, the rest of the staff we encountered seemed unseasoned and unmotivated; pre-school in particular was a revolving door of teachers, one lazier than the next (MANY times my daughter came home saying she watched Curious George or other cartoons during the day for long periods of time) - Curriculum: As my daughter advanced there, it became increasingly clear that TLE is a daycare first and a learning center second; workbooks were repetitive and unstimulating, and again, screen time was waaaaaay overused (the TLE brand had a big marketing push over the last year, with a constant barrage of emails flooding my inbox to purchase gear or plushies for my child, and a branded cartoon called "Bubbles and Friends" quickly became a teacher substitute in the classrooms vs an occasional educational aid) - Communication: Many times, parents were notified at the last possible minute of things that were due to the daycare, what Learning Bag (ie, Show and Tell) items for the week were, etc; the app that they use was very rarely updated with important notifications in a timely manner, and sometimes entire days would go by without any photos posted - Nepotism: The 4 main leads/directors at this location are sisters, so if you ever need to escalate a situation, it's useless unless you dig and find out the names of folks at corporate (which I had to do a few times--the corporate people I spoke to though were always helpful once you could connect with them); additionally, I never once met/saw the owner, LynnAnn, in our 3 years there, which I found very odd So, all in all, decent daycare, but once your child requires more than a babysitter, I would not recommend TLE.

Years ago this school was great (I sent both of my children there) But this year I had to pull my youngest child out of that school. I had a problem there with a teacher who was on drugs (and STILL works there) .. she watched my children at our shore home (which is on the bay/water) while we were out she got HIGH on either heroin or prescription drugs (I STILL have videos and photos to prove this if this school DARES to argue).. we came home early thank GOD and my daughter who had access to our filled hot tub on our deck and the open bay ... my daughter could had fell in and died if we didn't get home when we did.. I noticed with this "teacher" when she feel off the chair holding my child I told her to go lay down (I didn't realize yet) then she put my daughter in the tub with her clothes ON with the water RUNNING... I stopped it quickly as I was getting her out of the tub she went to my little one who had a donut. She took the donut from her & began to smear it on her face. My little one began screaming & I ran to her. I asked her what did she take she began to slur her words and said "I just did a teaspoon" (so I'm believe it was heroin .. I even looked up videos on how people act and it was EXACT). then said her ex-boyfriend stopped by (but we checked our outside and inside cameras and no one showed up) then she quickly she passed out.. (again thank god we got home or my kids would be alone and her passed out) My oldest saw it all and scared the hell out of her. The girl told me the next day she was sorry that she had 8 shots of tequila (I don't even have tequila in the house & she did not smell of any alcohol) ANYWAY the school was aware of this and did NOTHING. Now ACADEMICALLY ... I just recently had my daughters new school teacher conference & she has made SUCH a progress in just 3 short months .. I was worried she might have had a learning disability it wasn't that at all it was because that school was a place to just play NOT LEARN. She did not learn ONE thing the last year she was there. The books they sent home of the children's work was never complete.. because they never did work with them. And the teachers are always swapping or getting pulled there & the classrooms have ZERO constancy or classroom management which makes the children out of control. Parents this place is a disaster .. so sad because they use to be so wonderful... & pulling my daughter was the BEST decision I could have made for her... please watch your children for their safety & learning... and most importantly NEVER let them watch ur children in your home! ***RESPONDING TO COMMENT BELOW*** ... this is beyond untrue ... when this incident happened the front desk WAS notified (the girl at the desk even told me how that teacher got similar at their past holiday party) .. they promised me they would keep her away from my daughter ... so we stayed stayed in the school because my daughter was comfortable & we've been going there for 7 years between both my kids ... there were 3 times I found her in the room with her and flipped out.. then one day my daughter was sitting in the front by the sick room when I picked her up bc this PERSON took her class outside to play (when it wasn't this teachers time to be in the playground) so my daughter was removed from playing with her friends & had to sit alone at the front desk. This teacher was then promoted to more responsibility in the school and I said I was not comfortable because she would see my daughter everyday and when I told Lynnann about it many months after she had NO IDEA of what happened ...... then Lynnann didn't return my calls or text messages but instead she pushed the responsibility of handling it to the girls in the front! Again, best decision because my daughter is now SAFE without me worrying and actually LEARNING

From the beginning, it felt as though the administration attempted to force our child into a rigid, cookie-cutter mold rather than approaching him as an individual. In the 90 days we were enrolled, the concerns raised often felt excessive and out of proportion for a typical four-year-old. During his time there, our son was subjected to bullying and unkind behavior from classmates, which was not adequately addressed. He experienced daily emotional meltdowns, asked to be picked him up early every day, and grew to hate going to school altogether. He expressed feeling that the administration and staff did not like him, which was heartbreaking to hear from a child so young. Communication with us was overwhelmingly negative. Not once did a staff member share something positive about our son, despite him being described by multiple childcare professionals we trust as exhibiting entirely age-appropriate behavior. We received near-daily reports of issues that felt outlandish and unnecessarily alarming. Additionally, very few staff members used positive reinforcement or supportive intonation when speaking to him. Class sizes were extremely large, up to 25 children in his class! Perhaps most troubling was the inconsistency and insensitivity in communication. While staff spoke one way to us in person, they sent urgent-toned emails about our son during two major life events for our family, including one email sent just two days before our wedding, framing matters as emergencies when they were not. Early childhood education should be rooted in patience, compassion, and developmental understanding. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this location.

And even played in the gated playground. I really liked this place. It is really difficult to find a place you honestly and completely trust to care for your child. Maybe no such place exists. But this was close. I just can't afford $1400 a month. That's why I took a star. The middle class should be able to afford a place like this without risking foreclosure or eviction.
