The jukebox plays Lynyrd Skynyrd, and basically the entire Forrest Gump soundtrack. And unlike most of the bars in this area this place is bright with a ton of natural light. They keep the doors open so the air runs through the place. It is a very historical bar covered in knick knacks which is kind of fun to look at. They have a pool table and darts. And here's the kicker - they have $4 CRAFT DRAFTS! Yes, local brews on tap for $4. That's cheaper than the breweries! Other brewski's will run ya around $2 bucks. Every time the bf came back from the bar he had a sneaky grin on his face and he would mouth the words to me "Six Dollars! Cindy, Six. Dollars." Those moments of him will be forever burned in my mind. It was almost like he was getting away with something when in reality this place really is that cheap, they are not making a mistake on your bill. My mom and I dined here today and the experience was frustrating from the start. We were seated and initially greeted by one waitress who took our order, but we were quickly handed off to another server who was already clearly overwhelmed with multiple tables. This quick handoff likely contributed to the miscommunication surrounding our incorrect order, which could have been avoided if the original server had not switched us off so abruptly. She seemed far more focused on guests she knew who were seated nearby, while our new server was left juggling several tables on her own. I felt bad for her--she was clearly doing her best without much support. I didn't see a manager on the floor to help address the situation. On top of that, our food came out incorrect and had to be sent back to be fixed. We were also told my child would receive a kids' drink with her meal, which never came. Unfortunately, this has become a pattern--each visit seems to bring poorer service and lower food quality, especially considering the prices. I do enjoy the atmosphere, particularly during the warmer months, but between the inconsistent service and disappointing food, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.
