Now you are basically going to get pretty standard bar food but if you are looking for a cheap place to watch your favorite team it's still a good vibe.we have been here a few times and have tried the sampler platter for apps, pizza, and wings and like a said it's nothing special but pretty good bar food. Went to Dickmann's on Sunday afternoon while the Bengals were playing. The atmosphere was noisy, fun and celebratory (the Bengals were winning big time!) We had spicy teriyaki and original bone-in wings, the bacon jam burger and onion straws. The burger was tasty - as were the onion straws but the star was the wings. Came on a Tuesday night . There are no signs saying to seat yourself or wait . Got a lot of nasty looks for just standing there . Once we were seated our waitress was extremely rude, as we didn't know you had to order at the kitchen window. We got wings and burgers, onion straws, and fried pickles . Great place to come for sporting events! They have TONS of TV's lining the walls! Fantastic wings, honey jalapeño is my favorite! Delcious pizza and killer apps! They host sand volleyball teams on the weekends and during the week it's open for people to play on the court! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, some is even covered if it's raining. A few things some people may not like, but it's how Dickman's rolls; plastic cups, you have to walk up to the window to order food and go get the food when your name is called, it's rather loud. ALTHOUGH, they offer buckets and beer by the can so you don't have to get their cups, you don't have to tip a server for food so you're saving some money, and it's a bar it's gonna be loud. So basically it's a great time! She seemed very accommodating and very nice. I really don't know what to expect because it's my first time here, I guess one has to go to the bar and order your drink. I did not do that, I sat on a table and waited for someone to come get my order which Jaime came to ask what I want. I'm looking for a drink menu, and she said they don't have that. Great spot to watch sports. Unfortunately there is a waitress there that doesn't seem to understand that her customers are there to have a good time. She will greet you like her family but then rip the rug out from under you and make you think she just never meant what she said from the beginning. In my opinion that is not good business. The atmosphere is on point with socially distanced tables and lots of TVs. The TV stations were not synced so it was difficult watching one TV, hearing the crowd cheer and 10 seconds later having our team score. That said the appetizers were amazing. It's a sports bar...it's not fancy but by golly you will have a great time! My friends and I have been going to Dickmann's for years because its so casual and they honestly serve some of the best bar food you will find! Dickmann's is known for their outdoor sand volleyball court so don't be surprised that A. the bar is just plain concrete and B. you will feel sand on the ground or the seats sometimes. But this just shows you how casual this place is. They have a big main bar and the bartenders are always really attentive, even the new ones. They have a great tap selection, can selection, and liquor selection. They serve in plastic cups...not a huge deal to me but just an fyi. The myth on the plastic cups is that a loooonnng time ago they switched to plastic cups to deter bar fights lol. I've been there so many times over the years that I have never seen a fight there so its just a funny myth that may or may not be true! Now the food....honestly....the chicken bacon ranch pizza is to die for. I've told my husband before that I would marry this pizza if I was allowed too lol. All their pizzas are freshly made in house and you can tell. My favorite is the chicken ranch one and it is just the right mix of all the ingredients without it being too much! I went to Dickman's recently for a friends birthday party and will never go back unless I have very good reason too. Since Northern Kentucky is now the smokers section of Cincinnati, I should have remembered I'd be in for a smokey night, but my goodness, I think I lost five years off my life here. It was terrible. A thick haze of smoke was ever present and the rowdy and loud patrons were pushy and inconsiderate. These things must only bother some, for the bar was absolutely packed and seating was scarce. Packed with T.V.'s all playing sports, I wondered who could even hear them over the noise? I spent the night drinking beer out of cans, my only amusement being a game I play trying to get my boyfriend drunk off shots before he realizes that's what I'm doing. Dickmann's does't have a lot going for it, aside from all of the TVs. If you need somewhere to grab a beer and watch sports, it may work for you. But you'll need to be able to block out all of the smoke and bar fights. Seriously, there's a rumble here every other time I go. Can't blame the bar for it, but the patrons. It seems like this is where douchebags and cowboys go to mingle. The smoke is to be expected at any bar in Kentucky, but it seems especially thick here at Dickmann's. But the worst thing about Dickmann's is that they kick you out way too early. Bar time is always sped up a bit, but they kick you out at about 1:30, bar time, which is really around 1:15. Do they not want your money? I don't understand their thought process, but it doesn't matter too much because to stay at Dickmann's that late is already testing the limits of your humanity. We love Dickman's! Being newer to the area it's really hard to find somewhere in Cincy or NKY that sells great wings and is smoke free. These definitely are the best wings in the area. The wings are aren't soft and mushy, but more well done the way Fricker's and Rooster's are (my fav wing spots up north). They also sell a good selection of craft beer. A group of my friends and I met at Dickmann's this week as we attempt to schedule a gathering once a month. This is the perfect place to just relax, have some drinks and eat some food. Buckets of bud light (cans) were $10. The food is just typical bar food. I especially like their personal pizzas, but my friends ordered wings and they looked good as well. The waitress was very personable and took care of the table very well throughout our visit. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a place to watch a sporting event ... Drink prices are great, food is good (especially their wings), and the staff is prompt while being friendly. I would never go here again for the food. The bar on the other hand, is a pretty decent size with plenty of tv's and the coolest part of all is the outside area.
