We scheduled our initial service with this company yesterday after seeing their high rating on yelp. We were told that the technician was going to arrive between 2-5 pm. Originally, I couldn't be on property due to other commitment but I chose to stay in the end since I thought it's the first service and I probably should be at home. But then, it was 4:30 pm and the technician still didn't arrive. I really need to go to other places so I left the house. Around 5 pm, I received a call from technician Jacob and was told that he's running late. I really appreciate him being communicative and told him that's completely fine, and he could come into the yard even if im not there. According the report I received, he came in at 6:30 and left around 6:55. I came home around 7:30 so like 30 minutes after the service. I still find really obvious spider webs everywhere in the yard. I reached out to the company via text to explain the problem and asked if the technician had problems with getting into the yard. I did receive a call back from Rachel the owner. I appreciative the fast communication. But throughout the call, I was told that my expectations were unrealistic. I think cleaning out big spider webs on the outer obvious part of the bush should not be an unrealistic expectation? I believe that if a customer is communicating a concern, especially if it's constructive for next time like I want more spider webs gone, Rachel, or whoever the communication person is, shouldn't be coming to conclusions so soon. On the phone, first I was told that cleaning out every spider web in the bush is unrealistic. But I did not ask to clear out every spider web, I asked to clear out the gigantic obvious ones hanging on the bush. Then, I was told that they could not just sprinkle chemicals on the bush due to some regulations. But what about just clearing them out. Then, I was told that spiders come out at night time that the spider webs could be new. But, they were there this morning, and I came home thirty minutes after service and all the six spider webs were knitted within the thirty minutes? Those piders are damn good with timing and damn busy in that thirty minutes I guess. The whole call experience was as if they were not trying to solve the problem but to shut you down. And, I did not think that I was even rude or mad on the phone call, instead I really calmly stated the issue and wanted a solution. read more

This is my first service with this pest control company, and I'm impressed. Jacob was punctual, professional, and courteous. He answered all of my questions and concerns and proceeded on his pest-fighting mission. I discovered ants indoors, and that's what prompted me to call. Jacob did interior and exterior of my home, and I had to be away for a minimum of 2 hours, out of the home. I'm very happy so far, and I appreciated Jacob's customer service and expertise. Kevin the owner came and provided a termite inspection and identified numerous termite and water damages. He provided a quote for repair as well as tenting the house. I got a fumigation quote from a highly rate company HOxxxxxxxx which gave me a price $2000 higher than Saddleback. They spent 5 days replacing and repair the facia, put back the gutter. We called Saddleback Termite to come out and inspect our home because we saw droppings in the attic spaces. As a matter of background, we tented 7 years ago and were concerned that the termites had already infested our home again. The gentleman that came out was professional and knowledgeable. He let us know that the droppings we saw were actually old (from pre-tenting), but that movement in our attic space (like hitting the beams with storage boxes) could cause the droppings to fall out of old existing holes. He explained the difference in color in droppings and how long termites need to infest before you start seeing them. In the end, he didn't try to sell us anything...said local treatments would be a waste of our money... and let us know to call them out again in three years or so for a follow up inspection as we should probably tent every 10 years or so due to the coastal climate. It was so nice to have someone come out and not try to sell me something I don't need. Very refreshing. Will definitely be using this company in the future when it comes time to tent. read more

In December 2017, my attic was treated with Bora-Care and Termidor by Saddleback Termite. Eleven months later in November 2018, wings of termites were seen on the floor of the attic. Since it was still within the one year warranty, technician sent by Saddleback Termite sprayed my attic with Bora-Care again. In November 2019, more wings of termites were found in my attic. Although I do not expect Bora-Care prevents termites for as long as 12 years as stated by the manufacturer, annual treatment should not be needed if enough solution was sprayed and soaked into the wood. 9/7/2020 Update to the above review: Thank you Kevin for the quick response. It is good that the one year warranty was honored in Nov. 2018. However, in Nov. 2019, wings were seen in the SAME place again, but no dead termite bodies were found. From my understanding, Bora-care will kill the drywood termites when they try to enter the wood as long as the chemical penetrates the wood. So I called your office in Nov 2019 and asked the question that if there were only wings on the floor but no bodies, did that mean the termites already entered the wood? Unfortunately, the answer was yes. Bora-care should definitely work much longer then just one year if applied properly. I was wondering why I had to have the chemical sprayed on the same wood surface year after year? Following the signs of infestation in the attic again(assuming the info I heard from your office was correct), I was in the process of contacting termite control companies. But due to the pandemic, the job has been postponed until now. read more

For the first time in my adult life as a homeowner since Dursban was banned in 2001 I could not control the Argentine ants that were invading our home. The store bought sprays were ineffective. The bait traps worked but split the colonies and the ants came right back. Everything about my experience with ST&PC was stellar. The communication with office staff member Priscilla was on point. Bo who came out to spray was super knowledgeable and professional. He got rid of all the ants inside and out. This was a great company to work with. Every person that I interacted with with friendly, professional and competent. We were having some work done on the outside of our home and the other contractor mentioned that we had termite damage. We called Saddleback Termite and Kevin (the owner) came out to do the initial inspection. Kevin spent a lot of time answering questions and did a very thorough inspection of the whole outside of the house and the attic. We were sent a quote with within 24 hours. We had received a quote from another company too, but decided to move forward with Saddleback because we felt that Kevin had done a very detailed inspection and told us that despite the termite damage, was fixable and it seemed that he could treat the termite damage with spot treatment rather than having to tent the house which we wanted to avoid. This was not the cheapest quote that I got, but when you are having work done on /in your home, it's not always about the cheapest price. Ideally, you want someone you feel you can trust working in your home and we had that with Kevin. It was also very easy to communicate with the office, both Rachel and Amy were quick to answer any questions and got back to me immediately with any queries. It was also very easy to schedule a day which suited us. On the day of the job, two crew members, Shane and Oscar, showed up and spent the whole day working through the damaged areas, using wood filler where they could and replacing and painting the wood where needed. Both Shane and Oscar did a fantastic job and worked tirelessly. They were polite, hard working and cleaned up any mess that was made during their work. I appreciated this a lot, as we have had experiences of people doing work and then leaving a mess which we have had to clean.
