This healthcare organization is terrible. I have very decent healthcare with Kaiser with my…read moreemployer. The problem is that I am only allowed to go to the Bellevue clinic for urgent care. I was bleeding from my head (if you don't know it yet, a head wound is a bleeder for a long time). So I elected to pay out of pocket and go to Evergreen for stitches. When it was time to remove the stitches, I called Evergreen in advance to ask them how much it would cost to remove them at Evergreen or if I should go to Kaiser with a $20 copay. The representative on the phone told me that stitch removal was a part of the $570 I paid out of pocket. Then I got a bill from Evergreen saying I owed $146 for stitch removal. This is a disgusting practice and Evergreen should be ashamed of themselves. When I escalated the matter, even though calls were recorded to prove what I was told, the insisted I pay the bill (which I did today). I would not trust this company and I will never work with them again. I will pay for a taxi vs dealing with BS like this.

I personally don't need hand holding mushiness, I need the truth, level headedness and a physician who will share his knowledge about what is going on with my body. A little small talk and humor doesn't hurt either. All qualities you will find with Dr. Bayles and his staff. I live nearby so location is awesome for me. I used to see a Swedish physician downtown but finally switched b/c the drive and parking was inconvenient. And no parking charges at the Redmond Swedish Medical Center! It's also brand new so the facility looks great. And scheduling appointments have also generally been easy. I once got squeezed in at the last minute when I got a severe allergic reaction and needed some relief asap. The Swedish network is also something I love (yes, love). All your medical information gathered by Swedish physicians is online so there's no confusion about your medical history or trying to remember every little thing. Another much appreciated thing...everything runs like a well-oiled machine. I get in, fill in some quick paperwork, pay my co-pay and I'm in an office in less than 5 minutes. A nurse takes some information about my visit, gets some vitals and the doctor arrives in less than 5 minutes. When I'm done, my paperwork is being printed, don't need to mess with prescriptions as they have been electronically delivered to my pharmacy and I'm done. Like I said, I see my physician more often than the average person and any extra time I can save not waiting around is a big thumbs up for me.

When we arrived on Wednesday, the entire process was fairly quick and straightforward since we both had complete immunization records. Dr. Dudetsky was professional, courteous, and helpful. We had to come back a couple of days later to process the results of our TB skin test, and had a very quick visit once again. Results were provided in a sealed envelope as per USCIS standards, and the staff clearly knew what they were doing--definitely something you want when dealing with the government!

I followed up 5 days after the initial request, then had to call 10 days after that just to get them released. It took 2 weeks to get my records. Most recently, I requested a renewal on a medication I've been taking for over 10 years. I heard nothing back for 11 days, then had to call in. I was placed on hold three separate times over the course of one call, totaling around 15 minutes, and was told I'd need to come in for an appointment before they'd refill it. I explained that I needed it immediately because they hadn't responded in 11 days. They put me on hold again and then doubled down on the same answer. Staff also blamed the delay on the receptionist being "new," despite her being the one who put me on hold twice to check with someone else on my behalf. It took 1.5 weeks and I never received my prescription. I have never had such horrible communication or professionalism from a medical facility. I would suggest going literally anywhere else.

I was prescribed medication where the prior authorizations have now been denied multiple times and need to be appealed. All of this could have been avoided if paperwork had been filled out accurately and the doctor had listened to me when I was stating my condition and what I had done in the past. I also experienced the pushback other reviewers had where it is always someone else's fault and they accept no responsibility. At first I genuinely thought they were trying to help and resolve the issues but when the denials kept coming from the insurance and the insurance explained to me why, it just showed they were not really paying attention and resubmitting paperwork. The follow-up has been on my part and apparently that is annoying to this clinic. I am also awaiting to see if I will be billed for a telephone call which they claim won't be charged but given others' experiences with billing, I am not optimistic and expect that to be an issue too. I spoke to Dr Vaiman who is the Medical Director (eventually) and she let me know I can go to another provider or clinic instead of answering my questions on whether they will fill out the paperwork correctly for the medication their clinic prescribed. They had no interest in helping. She also suggested seeing an endocrinologist which had nothing to do with my asks and complaints. I signed up with Plushcare since getting another doctor with a GOOD clinic or hospital is months long wait. My Prior authorizations were submitted and approved same day with Plushcare since they filled out the information correctly. I would trust the 1-star reviews. Stay far far away. Wasted time and money and horrible experiences each time. Deeper investigations into reviews on these doctors on other sites will show others have had the same experience as I did.

It is so much easier for me to navigate through the Kaiser system than locate independent providers through Regence Coverage. You call one number and are set up for all your medical needs. Their doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, customer phone representatives and all support staff really seem to care about you and your health. This is problematic. I am the Director of H.R for a company of about 50 people working at the Port of Seattle. We recently changed health plans. Unfortunately, the "upgraded plan" available to executives is a Regence (Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan). Ironically, I feel like that this "upgrade" isn't an upgrade at all. I LOVE KAISER and I am likely to go back whatever the cost after we renew in January of 2020. I have never experienced better care, more follow up, less wait- time and fewer additional fees than I have with Kaiser. I came in to meet Dr. Church (Redmond), because of a scheduling issue Dr. Church was SUPER thorough, knowledgeable, professional and considerate. After I left his office, Dr. Church researched how best to alleviate my menopause drama. He followed up with both me and my pharmacist and suggested I try a little different medication.
