We have stored our belongings in Saf Keep for several years. We recently moved out of the area and cleaned out our unit several weeks ago. We were extremely pleased with this place, as it is clean and secure. Security is very important to me, as I have heard horror stories about break-ins at Public Storage facilities in the Bay Area. Knowing there are cameras everywhere and an alarm will go off if an unauthorized person goes into your unit, gave us a great sense of comfort and security. In addition, the personnel (especially Mo, the manager) are professional and terrific. The prices are reasonable, considering extra measures of security, cleanliness (even the bathroom!), care in maintenance (no lights were burned out like in some other storage places which shall remain unnamed) and professionalism exhibited by the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants a secure and clean place to store their valuable belongings or inventory. read more

The people there are all really friendly and helpful. They are constantly cleaning and the entire area is kept clean. Units are temperature controlled, each unit is monitored by the security system, and you can rent their truck from them for much less than any other place. Their prices and good for what you get. We had a full size semi pull in to unload all of our stuff. I feel good about leaving all my belongs there. read more

Who would have thought that people running a storage place could be so friendly? I was desperately looking for a storage facility and decided to check out Yelp. I came across some other storage units in the area that had decent reviews (Saf Keep didn't have much of a Yelp presence at the time) and all other facilities were full for the dates that I needed a unit. Someone at another facility recommended Saf Keep and I was able to secure a unit. Prior to move in, I was able to get ahold of someone on the phone with no problems at all and arrange everything that I needed, including a FREE move in truck that saved me a quite a bit of money! Granted, my standards might have been lower after having dealt with rude people at storage facilities in the past. Upon move in, I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the units were air conditioned and they even had someone riding around in a golf cart asking if there were any issues with move in. Here's where it goes from four stars to five: when I needed to move out, I had so many problems with UHaul in San Ramon (another review for that) and I was not able to get a dolly like they had promised. I frantically called Saf Keep the night before and reached their after hours person, as I had expected. They said they'd have someone call me the following morning. I received a phone call that morning from the owner (at 8:00 am on a Saturday, mind you) and he promised me a dolly if I needed it. Luckily, I was able to get one from UHaul anyway. I was pleased that they were going to offer me a dolly if I needed it and appreciated that they listened to me on the phone ranting about UHaul. I would highly recommend Saf Keep in San Ramon and would definitely use them again! read more

I just moved my stuff out of the other "Public" place. Let me tell you Saf Keep is 1000% better. Nice people on the customer service front end. Denny showed me around the place to tell me all that I needed to know. He even helped me unpack my stuff into my unit. Who does this ? Seriously, who does this. The place is immaculately clean. I have been a SafKeep customer for several years now. I just moved and needed 2 large storage units with virtually no notice. Mohammed was able to accomodate me, gave me a good deal on the rates and helped to make it as stress free as moving can be. The units are very clean when you open them up and I've never experienced any damage, moisture or even much dust on my things. A family member used All Aboard, (also in San Ramon)- it was awful and expensive. Bring your things here :) The staff is friendly, courteous and competent. Friendly and very accommodating. I've been storing my staging props here and always feel safe...no matter when I come. The units are clean and well lit. They have carts, dollies and a large truck you can rent for a small fee. I switched to a larger unit and they offered the truck for free which made the transfer so much easier. I rented a unit a little over 2 years ago when I downsized homes and was impressed with how clean the facility was when I first toured. The unit and entry has always been kept clean! Checked a lot of other storage places in the 925, and I do mean A LOT of them, but this one is by far the best available. I have even rented at 2 separate places in San Ramon and Walnut Creek respectively but never felt the need to come back as they always raised my rent every 4-6 months. Prices are reasonable compared to the area and well worth it for the high level of customer service and security they offer. Mo at the front desk was thorough and straight forward with move in costs and monthly fees and Dennis gave me a great tour of the facility. Just hands down super service. I just moved out of Saf Keep today (do not need storage anymore). Had a large unit there for months. They are very professional and offer the highest level of security in the area (24 hr guard). I am done with Saf Keep San Ramon. Was a customer for over 10 years. Paid the bill every month using my bank bill pay. One day, Saf Keep contacted me to say that I had not paid bill. I explained that I had and that I had a record of the payment. I told them I would contact the bank to find out if check sent from the bank was cashed. Before I knew it, i got a call from my elderly relative saying that Saf Keep had contacted her about my non-payment. Saf Keep sent her a tentative lien on the property in my storage unit. When I contacted Saf Keep to ask for apology to me and my relative, there was no response. When I contacted their corporate office, a reply from them took almost two weeks. read more

Most storage places are not very customer service oriented. I'm convinced that "Public Storage" devotes all of their time to thinking up ways to tack on little, extra fees and charges to your bill. I chose Saf-Keep initially just because it was very close to where I needed to go. What a pleasant surprise to find out that they actually care about customer service and provide A LOT more for your monthly rental fee. Their gates are open later allowing you access to your stuff up until 8:45 PM. The staff is friendly and there to lend a helping hand if you need it. They have a bin providing you free e-waste recycling right there next to the office. The place is neat and clean and secure ...and get this, they even have a truck available to you FOR FREE on move-in! This is the place I'm using from now on. This is a class operation. read more
