**CAUTION** Before renting at any storage facility managed by Cubix Asset Management, I would strongly encourage prospective tenants to do their homework and ask a lot of questions. My concerns don't stem from a minor customer service issue. They stem from how Cubix handled the aftermath of a burglary at one of its managed facilities where my property was stolen. As a disabled veteran, many of the items I stored were not simply replaceable household goods. Among the property taken were military awards, memorabilia, service-related keepsakes, and personal belongings collected over years of military service. Some of these items had been with me through multiple duty assignments and major chapters of my life. They carried sentimental value that cannot be measured in dollars and cannot simply be replaced with an insurance payment. After the theft, I spent months attempting to obtain basic information, including insurance contacts, ownership information, preservation of video footage and access logs, and a clear explanation of what happened. The process was frustratingly slow, communication was inconsistent, and getting straightforward answers proved far more difficult than it should have been. The facility advertised security cameras and surveillance. After the burglary, I was informed by the property manager that the camera covering the area of my unit was not functioning or connected to Wi-Fi. Learning that after my property had already been stolen was deeply concerning. I also learned that there had been another break-in in the same area of the facility just days before my unit was burglarized. That raised obvious questions about what additional precautions, inspections, or security checks were performed afterward and whether the advertised daily walkthroughs were actually occurring as represented. What was most disappointing was the lack of urgency and accountability after a customer suffered a significant loss. A theft is stressful enough. Customers should not have to spend months chasing information that should be readily available after an incident, especially when the stolen property includes items that are impossible to replace. In the end, after months of follow-up, the only resolution offered was roughly three months of free rent. While I appreciated that some offer was eventually made, it amounted to very little compared to the value of the property that was stolen and the time spent trying to obtain answers. Rather than providing confidence that the matter had been taken seriously, the offer felt more like an acknowledgment that something had gone wrong without any meaningful effort to make it right. The message I was left with was simple: the loss was significant, but the response was minimal. As a result, I have been forced to pursue the matter in small claims court. If you're considering renting at a Cubix-managed facility, I would recommend asking the following questions before signing a lease: * Who handles theft and loss claims? * How can tenants obtain insurance information if property is stolen? * What procedures exist to preserve surveillance footage and access records? * Are all advertised security cameras actually functioning and connected? * What steps are taken when there is a reported break-in at the facility? * How quickly are customer complaints escalated and resolved? * Who has authority to make decisions when a serious issue arises? I can only speak from my own experience, but based on that experience, I would think carefully before storing anything you would be upset to lose. Renting the unit was easy. Getting answers after a burglary was not. Anyone considering a Cubix-managed facility should spend as much time asking about theft claims, surveillance systems, and incident response as they do comparing rental rates. Those details may not seem important until the day you actually need them. read more

Hands down one of the best storage facilities I have ever used. Been here for 20+ years and never had any issues here. I recently was thinking about leaving because I wanted to find a closer storage place to my house in San Lorenzo, but couldn't do it because the customer service that I get from the building managers Mercedes / Dustin is by far some of the best customer service I have ever gotten. Nothing but kindness every time I see them on site. This is the reason I decided to make the extra 20 min travel to Dublin and not find a closer storage place. Top notch service for sure. read more

Needed a storage unit, with fast and easy response that values quality of customer service. Valued my time for the year of service I had with this storage unit. Never had an issue, inside each unit was very cool on a hot summer day so never had an issue with climate. Felt like my time was validated as a customer. Mercedes, and her co worker was very professional. Never letting me down when it came to upgrading, or down sizing units. An also, was generally valuable member of this business. 10/10. This place is huge! They tell me more than 1,000 units? Wowsers. And because of that, they give you a pretty good value for your unit. We scored a 6 x 10 unit for just about $100 (at press time). Mostly outdoor units, but even their indoor units are just a few feet away from your entrance. Front desk - Mercedes and Dustin - are cool peoples. Like an idiot, I had misplaced my key to my lock after only a few days and they graciously cut my lock for me. Even on their lunch break. Mahalos! This place is generally clean and safe, but storage places always brings a wide swath of the community. I saw a couple arguing about something in the storage and the dude peeled out in his SUV. I swear he hit 50 mph inside the long aisle. That said, a couple improvements may help? A few speed bumps on property would be cool. And I was spoiled by mobile phone/bluetooth access to open/close the gates at my old place. That would be super cool if they had something like this. read more

Highly recommend Allsafe for storage. It's conveniently located just off I-580, reasonably priced units, and drive up access to the storage unit which made moving items in and out very easy. Mercedes and Dustin were ALWAYS available to answer questions, provide suggestions, etc. Both are very friendly, professional, and take great care of the property and renters. Rented a 10 foot U-Haul from these guys. Reserved the moving van online and picked it up at Allsafe. The van was parked out front ready to go when I got there.. The attendant provided me the keys and off I went. Overall it was a very easy process and if I had to rent a U-Haul in the area again I would definitely go there. read more

This response is based of the managers response to my original review. First of all Ms.mgr, your employees didn't tell us to give 30 days notice when I called to alert them that I wish to vacate and what the process was. The cement factory next door was your employee who told me there was one next door n that was the reason for the extreme dust and apologized for my stuff being damaged. So I didn't make that up and didn't believe there was a cement factory there but she worked there so I guessed she knew more. I even asked if there was cement dust causing sooo much dust, then shouldn't there b disclosure upfront to storage renters so people can make smart decisions....she really didn't respond well back to me on that! Thus Ms.mgr, u may want to re-train your employees. Lastly, what lock u talking about? We been to our storage a few times in the 4 yrs due to a baby arriving and the second to last time we went there, we hired a mover, emptied out our 6 by 10 foot unit in about 2 hours to completely empty and we removed our uhaul (1) lock the same day as we needed that lock to be put onto our pod unit on our driveway where the stuff removed from your storage went into by same mover so I believe you are very confused since u seem to be the new manager who took over the place as previous manager had left due to customer issues as I read on reviews but again there were no lock left behind. And why didn't your employees come check unit right away as I requested when we were done removing everything so if there was anything they saw, we would have taken care of it right than and there! As far as charge to my account, again I saw a charge alert via an email from your facility and why I inquired. Your employee stated it was made in error. Place is infested with rats and they know it they ate through some of my merchandise that I kept there for 3 months until I purchased my own warehouse . Don't get me wrong it looks clean and the older couple are very nice people but if management knows there's a rodent issue but doesn't handle it than all they care about is there monthly rent read more

I'm currently having an unpleasant experience with the office manager, Stephanie. My husband went into the office last week and gave her a post dated check for August 1st since we will be out of the country. He asked her to please deposit it on the 1st so it doesn't mess up any finances/bills we have going currently. She printed out a receipt and he left. This morning I go online to check our bank statement to see they deposited the check earlier this week. I immediately called and spoke with a woman, Bobbie, who told me to call back at 10am when the manager would be in. I called at 10:30am and was spoken to very rudely by Stephanie. She told me they do not hold on to checks. I asked her why she told my husband she would, and she responded "we do not hold onto checks." I then stated she didn't answer my question and her response was "I don't have to answer your question. You can send your question to an email address. I'm done talking." And hung up on me. I waited about 40 minutes and called back. I tried explaining to her that as a customer I am not very pleased with the way I was being spoken to, and I told her it's not personal, it's business. She "huffed" on the phone... You know that drawn out breath .... And said "we don't hold onto checks." And hung up on me again! This is an incredibly small issue and I guess I was expecting an "oh I'm sorry for the miscommunication, I hope it didn't mess anything up" kind of response, instead I was treated incredibly rude. Obviously customer service is not her strong suit. I would like to recommend the company, but because of the lack of customer service, I'm not sure I would. read more

Christmas 2008 ends with a whimper. The wife an I look at all the decorations and dread boxing them up and sticking them under the house only to pull them out again for another 10 months. We are simultaneously struck by a lightning bolt of a great idea. We need to get a mini storage space for all of it. Yelp reviews in hand, we set off to find a place that's close by. We finaly come to Allsafe. Inside, there are enough security monitors and equipment to guard the US mint. Of course the guy in there could be watching 8 different porn channels on all the screens, but I'll believe they are closed circuit video monitors. The managers are very friendly. Retired old folks. We rent an inside 6 x 10 unit for about 85 bucks a month. Each of the units are individually alarmed and the alarm for your unit is deactivated/activated when you enter your code at the front gate - thus eliminating some jack ass sneaking in behind you and emptying out a storage unit. We buy plastic see-through tubs and label them all individually. We get a 6 x 10 carpet at Lowes. The place is clean, safe and cozy. I could live in there if I had to. Lets hope it doesn't come to that - but for 85 bucks a month... hmmm. read more

This place WAS great when Bob & Bobbie were primarily in the office but watch out for Stephanie. Honestly, just run if you see her or hang up if it's her on the phone. It is almost impossible to communicate with this woman. She doesn't understand much and has a horrible attitude. She won't really be able to answer any questions you have and if she tries to she's going to try to make you feel stupid for asking. Worst customer service ever. read more

Moving is never fun! And needing a place to store big items that won't fit in your new home is an even bigger battle. After trying a storage place up the road with no luck and honestly terrible customer service I came here. Mercedes was so nice and welcoming! Unfortunately we kept her a bit after hours and she was still super kind and helped us get our unit so our day could finally end! Took over an hour to get access to the unit even though we had reserved it ahead of time. Rented a storage unit from here a few weeks ago during my move. My move was short notice so I needed something fast, and AllSafe accommodated my needs with an inexpensive 5x10 storage unit that was very clean, and accessible. I was able to move my things right in, didn't even need to sweep the floor! The ladies in the office were nice, but I felt as if the lady Stephanie at the front desk spoke to me very slowly as if I didn't understand, and it came across as rude. But the property itself was very clean and they even have an alarm system that most storage places do not have. I will be staying with them for as long as I need to without worry. read more

I went in on a Friday afternoon recently to rent a unit and I was ready to rent because I was moving. I asked about a discount and was told I had to go and print it up from the website or I wouldn't get one. The manager, Stephanie, seemed really confused. Poor, poor customer service. So I went across the street and rented from them and it only took 20 minutes to rent from them. Don't go to Allsafe if you believe in customer service. read more

Terrible!! I booked over the phone and showed up the day before my move to sign papers and they told me they didn't have a 10x10, that they haven't had one in months. Apparently they use another company to book for them and they don't have "updated information"... Terrible system. They will end up making you upgrade to a bigger place. I reserved the unit online and it is not very clear how the online special works, in fact it is a bit deceiving. I learned the real price after signing all the documents and providing my drivers license which was copied. The store manager was SO nice and helpful that I didn't mind being duped. He explained everything to me being that this was my first time renting storage space. He showed me around the facility and showed me how to use the security key pads. The units and facility are well run, clean, and seemed secure. The manager even helped me get out some things from the back of my car. I got a rent increase notice and this is what it content " A recent review of our tenant indicates that you have been paying less than standard rate ( standard rate for this area is around %29 cheaper at the current rate) for several years ( even though i have been renting in this storage only for few months) as a result you have received many hundreds of dollars in saving.
