The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.

I should not have to check my ring camera to make sure visits and walks were done. When I asked for the key back - it was returned broken off of the key ring. Again was told it was not broken although it was handed back to me in 2 pieces.

I worried about finding someone that could accommodate our strange schedule. When we reached out to Arzu, she was able to do it all for us. My work day (or night, what have you) always got a little brighter whenever I would receive a text update from Arzu. She sends us the cutest pictures of our dog, Casper. He absolutely loves her. Arzu has been with us through our different shift changes (from night shift, to day shift, to now working a regular 9-5 a week) and she's become almost like a member of the family. She has a flexible schedule and she is very reliable. There have been many times that she's been able to take care of our dog on short notice and emergencies. We are extremely grateful to her and can't thank her enough!

Update 10/14: We had…read moresince moved out of the immediate LA area and were trying to find local sitters via rover.. no luck. Our dog is not easy to manage. We brought him back to Mina (after a year of not seeing him). He definitely needed time to adjust again but Mina was extremely patient and gave us lots of great advice. Over time and after some planned frequent visits he was able to settle in again. So much so that she watched him for an entire two week period while we went on an international trip. Would not have been able to have make that trip without her - she was amazing to our dog and I could tell he loved being there!!

Because of my dog's breed, and bad behaviors she picked up before I rescued her, I was calling neighbors and looking on yelp because I needed a good dog walker that understands this breed and the importance of control while in public. After months of private training sessions and pack training, my pup is still a work in progress but my walker is reinforcing the commands as my dog is constantly learning how to behave proper in a social setting. More recently, my normal dog sitter canceled at the last minute and my pup's regular walker, Sonia, stepped up to the plate and salvaged my out of town travel trip. Most importantly I knew my Maligator was in good hands as she cries with excitement every time she sees Sonia coming. Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care.
