This company has huge customer service issues. In my previous home I had them for 5 years and when I decided to sell the house thinking the 5 year contract was up, they found a way to say that because I contacted their technician for repairs at some point, the contract got extended for 5 more years, and I couldnt get out, or I would have to pay 2 years of fee to get out. What the hell!!? They said dont worry, we can transfer your service to the new home at no additional cost. $3k later with non-stopping last minute fees, I have a downgraded service and devices from Alarm.com, and got yelled by the technician Scott in my own home for complaining the keypad was crooked. The technician also lost my second keypad in his second visit, and blamed us, so I had to pay $200 for it again. I am trying to call customer service to resolve the issue for months now, and no response, and I am stuck to a ridiculous 5 year contract. I am very fed up with this company after being a customer for more than 5 years. Absolutely unacceptable! read more

I would give them stars if it was an option. This company is absolutely horrible. Do not do business with them. You will regret it. That is a guarantee. Their equipment is overpriced,yet inferior. I had issues with cameras, door and window sensors, glass break sensors, smoke detectors. I could never get issues resolved. Had multiple service tech come out initially. Each time they claimed they would order parts and come back. I would not hear from them until I called. I would then be told they don't see the order for parts and will send someone out. This happened over and over again. Eventually we had so many bad components that we just didn't even bother arming it. After a year of this I asked to cancel my contract since they were unable to fix my system. They told they would cancel in months!! Are you kidding me?! I had to sue in small claims court. I won by default because they didn't care enough to send a lawyer. Take my advice, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

Joshua Parrot the owner of SAFE HOME SECURITY FROM CHARLOTTE OR HOSPITALITY CAMERA is nothing but a fraud and a liar, I gave him a job for 2 hotels to put 32 cameras in each property, and paid him $16K for this job, and before I gave him the job, I told him that I currently have a system which is good, but old and tired, so I want to replace and get the best commercial grade cameras, night vision, and an NVR/DVR which holds recording up to 30 days, he also sent the tech to see our property, and he promised us they will do everything and it will be much better system. He also promised us that we will be able to see the cameras on our existing desktops but nothing was true, once the installation completed, nothing worked for 2 months, then he forced us to buy 3 new 4K TV's, HDMI cables and a 3 way switch, and that also he did not come to install, instead of that my electrician completed his work. When the system was installed in first 2 weeks one of the brand new camera died, and half a dozen camera were moved from its original location. HE SOLD US A VERY CHEAP RESIDENTIAL PRODUCT, AND THE NVR RECORDS ONLY 2 TO 3 DAYS OF RECORDING, AND THEN IT OVERWRITES ON THE OLDEST RECORDING. During Christmas he promised me and also threatened me that if I keep calling him, he will block me, and said, that he will send a tech out first week of January after the holidays. As of today he did not send any text, emails or called to do any work and on the contract he had promised 3 years of warranty for parts and labor and will replace any cameras or the NVR. Since he failed to keep his promise, I have filed a lawsuit and he has not responded to my attorney or me, please do not trust him at all! read more

This review is for Joshua Parrot & Safe Home Security Charlotte. I'm specifying this because he seems to be good at pushing off well deserved bad reviews to other companies. Then again he is the king of NOT taking accountability so there really is NO big surprise there! We signed up with Josh because he had worked with my husband at another alarm company. We had issues with the original install but I'll save that story for another day. Let's fast forward to the facts. My family owned and operated local business has been broken into 3 times. Despite us having an alarm system and 11 cameras both interior/exterior. 4 of our cameras and security system were signed up/purchased from and installed by Josh Parrot and his "crew". Faithfully we have had issues with our cameras. Reaching out to a now ex employee of Josh's I notified them. The cameras were never fixed. Most recently my store was broken into 2 days in a row! Within the span of 12 hours. I had a side door kicked in twice! Products stolen. Door and frame damaged entirely. The camera facing that specific door doesn't work. Big surprise there! So NO camera footage. The glass break did not go off and the motion detector didn't get them. The first night of the break in the system NEVER went off at all. I was told by a Safe Home tech that the reason for that was because the system was installed incorrectly. Josh says their techs lie. Once again blaming Safe Home and taking no accountability. This is not the first time we've had issues with the security system. There has been multiple issues with the door censors. Safe Home has come out to my store before to fix issues that Josh's crew had originally installed- again still having issues with the cameras because apparently no one services those even though Josh's company is supposed to. Because the cameras and system has been in consistent we have resorted to leaving our dog in the store. My dog has been risking his life to sleep in my store to protect our business because Josh can't seem to get his "crew" out there. He set an appt for today at 9:30. It's 11:04 now and no "crew" showed or called. I had to have an employee change his schedule to accommodate this time because that was the only time Josh had where he could guarantee a crew would be out there. This was after he had promised a week prior that the crew would call me and come out. Never got a call or visit like I was told. How can I expect his crew to conduct themselves in a professional manner when Josh doesn't. His entire platform on social media is the protection he provides small businesses and yet my small business has experienced nothing but heartache. It's 2:28 and I still have NOT heard from Josh or his crew. Not that I was expecting it. Imagine my surprise when I start doing my research only to find out that Josh has quite a few bad reviews but always responds asking people to contact Safe Home Security that those reviews weren't mean for him? Well I spoke to David Roman the OWNER of Safe Home Security today and he told me he thought Josh had been fired. He also said I wasn't the first person to call with these issues. I hope they pay closer attention to the sales people representing their brand. If your experience has been the same I encourage you to file a formal complaint with the BBB although that won't fix the problem because he's not accredited. I encourage you to reach out to Safe Home Security corporate. In addition I'm happy to share David's number if you'd like. Maybe if enough people call and complain they will realize what a toxic salesmen they have working for them and there "what use to be a small/local company". read more

Called them to install an entire home security system based on great reviews. Accepted their $6,000 quote without haggling. Took the owner's advice to buy their top of the line system. They installed a few months ago and were great when they hadn't been paid. Now our doorbell has been out for THREE WEEKS. Without coming out said it's our transformer. Okay. Electrician replaced it. Still not working. Our electrician took off the faceplate and said "Here's the problem. When it was installed it was shoved in so hard by the tech that the wires almost severed. That's why it only lasted a few months then died.". Still no help from these guys. Waited all day yesterday for a technician to come. Never showed. We had to put our dog to sleep so my husband had to go do that alone because I had to wait for the tech. No show. No call. Will not come to help us. I called this morning in a not great mood but did not curse did not yell. Asked for accountability. How would y'all feel? The owner told me to check my attitude then hung up on me.
