I'm happy to support a small independent shop and while my pedicure was nice, it wasn't all that I read about in the reviews. The salon is clean, there is a nice selection of polish colors and employees are friendly. My complaint is that the massage was minimal at best. Not even a few minutes. And no hot towel or stone. I don't think she even oiled my cuticles. I have paid a bit more at the larger places ($29 here, $34 there) but the experience was definitely worth a few bucks more. In a pinch I would come back, but since I was the only customer and felt like I got shorted on time, it will be a last resort. read more

I've been going to Safe Nails for 4 years now and I'm never disappointed. I go here for basic pedicures. It's not a spa experience, but that's not what I'm looking for 99% of the time; I'm looking for quick, competent service and I get that every time. I live 5 minutes away and can usually be home in a little over an hour. They have a good selection of polish colors and I've never found one that's thick and gummy. The ones that have been thinned out still look true to color and last as long as the newer ones. The salon always looks and smells clean and the tub always has a fresh liner in it. Tom's gregarious and very friendly to everyone who comes into the salon. Tammy's quieter but if you engage with her she's also very friendly. It was simple and definitely a process I wasn't used to (based on my nail salon back home) but overall good experience. A ton of nail color choices. A little longer than usual (with Tammy) but left satisfied with the job. $45 for the service which I felt was very reasonable. read more

I had never been to this nail salon before and I'm glad I did!! It's owned by a brother and sister and they both seem to do an amazing job. I wish I knew their names! The sister gave me SNS, was very friendly and did my nails perfectly. They don't have a gap from the nail cuticle to the actual polish which has been a problem for me at other salons. The brother was doing a woman's mani and pedi, making jokes and having a great time. They seem to be running a great shop! I'm telling you this place is underrated and I will be back ASAP. read more

Ok. Let's see. I got the white tip with gel & I'm pretty happy! If you want something simple with no designs or have time for the frills then I def recommend this place. However I was a little put off from the cleanliness & dated decor, but the work done by Tom is Great. My nails weren't too thick and they look natural for sure. From my time here, looked like they service the older crowd mostly which is why I'm assuming they don't have design options or many colors. Pretty basic colors so again if you need a simple nail look and prefer quality over being rushed & pushed to add on services then I recommend this spot. I'm pretty sure I'll be back, thank you to my MIL! read more

The guy was able to fix my ingrown toenail problems that I got when I went to a different salon. Then I let him decide on the design but then didn't care for it afterwards cause it wasn't my style (it wasn't really bad or anything just not something I liked) so be redid it without making me feel bad at all. Worst gel manicure I've ever received. Looks like my daughter did my nails, with nail polish running off the side of each nail on to skin. When I asked if she could try to file it off my skin I was told that it would go away after I washed my hands a few times. Place was dirty. Nail tech pulled tools out of her drawer to perform manicure and put back in her drawer after using them and never cleaned them. I can't imagine how many other people she used those tools on before me. I never take the time to write a review but felt this was worth it. read more

I have to start by saying that my one star rating has nothing to do with the service I received, because the simple fact is, I received no service. Twice now I've tried to go in for a mani-pedi and found them closed. The first time was 2 Sundays ago when I walked up at 11:20 to a dark salon with a sign on the window saying they open at 11 on Sunday. The second time was yesterday when I called at 4:30 to ask how late they were open and to see if I needed an appointment. I was told no appointment necessary and that they'd be open until 7. I reiterated the time, stating that it said online they're only until 5:30 on Saturday, and he said no, we're open til 7 today. Come on in! I said I'd be in around 6 and that was that. I was happy that I wouldn't have to rush over but could get my nails done before dinner. When I arrived at five after 6 the place was once again locked up tight and dark as could be. The sign on the window did indeed say they're open until 7 on Saturday. I called the number again and got no answer. Very disappointing, but fortunately another salon down the street was able to talk me as a walk-in, and although I was only able to get a color change, they did a great job and that's where I'll be going from now on. read more
