If I could give the negative stars I would. I went to this place because it was close by and it was an awful decision. The lady was nice and welcoming, I just needed a fill and polish. Simple right? Now I just normally get an acrylic overlay on top of my natural nail. So she starts filing away, I'm checking emails on my phone and the next thing I know my nails on one side are as angled as a ski slope. Left in the middle of my service and will not return. I wish I could give zero star, let's start by saying I haven't done my nails for over a year because of postpartum. My husband and I were greeted and Andy immediately told me to go wash my hands to start. I said I wanted a regular French tip, I do have short nails because I bite my nails but they are not low, only look clean. He pulled out the white nails and before applying I said "I thought you were going to paint them on the clear nail" he said no this look better so I said ok let me trust the process. Then once he was ready to apply the acrylic powder I asked why not use the pink powder. He said this one is better. As a black women we need different types of color acrylic to fit our skin tone. I just let him do what he needs to do to again trust the process. During the clean up HE CUT MY CUTICLES MULTIPLE TIMES even after telling him ouch that hurts he says "oh no it's the heat for the tool" but I had bleeding fingers. It was done, and it was the ugliest French tips I have ever seen in my life. Thick, uneven shape and this board white tip was hard to look at. So I called the next day to redo it because I saw some bubbles inside but while he was drilling off the top coat he asked where at the bubbles and I was like it's right there inside the nails. Upon talking to him he was saying "omg where's the bubbles I don't see any". In the meantime he kept asking two other customers if they saw bubbles in my nails in his attempt to embarrass me and one lady said everyone has their preferences and that she saw the dust from the acrylic maybe that's what I was talking about. I asked him if he has the different color acrylic? He said no and I replied saying the one he has is only for caucasians and his color people. In my opinion all businesses should cater to all race needs and for a nail salon you HAVE TO HAVE DIFFERENT COLOR ACRYLIC so I showed him a video of the French tip I got done with my short nails and he asked where did I get it done I said mesa and he reply "go back there then". Then another customer came in and he took me out of his chair and told me to go to another lady which upon finding out it's his wife Annie. Annie was really good she cleaned me up very well, shaped the nails perfectly and at that time I did not want French tips anymore so I asked for them to paint it over with an orange color. Not only that he said to get it repainted in gel I'd have to pay extra $20 and regular just free. Then when he walked past me and asked can he please give me the gel so I can leave and he said yes just this one time. I am deeply sadden by the way he treated me, I even gave him $5 tip the first time and the French tip was $50. So in total i paid $55. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS NAIL SALON AGAIN ! This was my first and only time at this nail salon. I recently moved an hour away from my old salon and highly considering driving that hour to be taken care of like I always was at that salon. The stars are strictly for the mani. The pedi was fine. Toenails look good and the pedicure was well done. My toenails feel sore today for some reason - they used a clean liner for the pedi so it might just be sensitivity to the way they cut my nails. I tried the SNS dipped nails for my fingernails (this was my first experience with this kind of polish) and my fingernails are sensitive and painful today. I'm not really sure if that is normal.... it was also not a traditional mani. I had to ask her to clean up my cuticles and even then it was after she was done with all of the polish and she said my cuticles looked fine... I think she was trying to push me out of there without doing the full mani in hopes that I wouldn't notice. My cuticles look like trash today and my nails are sore. I hate the color, but that's my own fault. I didn't know it would be so iridescent. Anyway, I hate leaving negative reviews but I don't want anyone else going through what I did here. I used to go here for about 3-5 years honestly and I always would hate my nails and feel pressured to not be able to say that I didn't like them and it was just a terrible experience every time ether they would just do what they wanted to do for my nails(as in add flowers or do length they want), or they would do what I wanted and mess up everything you could mess up(as in filing,designs, length, shape). I only kept going back because of the deals they would give me( I know believe it's because they would mess up so much). If you want acrylic nails or designs I'd say save ur money and find somewhere with better skill read more

My first visit, I got acrylics from Andy and he did a great job. This time, I got my nails done by a young lady and she did amazing! She took her time and her attention to detail was phenomenal; I'm in love with my nails. I also always get my pedicures from an older lady, and she always does and outstanding job. He stated it was my fault it was occurring but he would do me "favor" and fix it. After 2 weeks from the application all of my nails started to peel. I do not use chemicals of any kind. I have been getting gel nail manicures for 30 years and have never had this occur. Andy refused to rectify the situation and told me gel manicures ate only guaranteed by him for 10 days and I would have to pay to have them reapplied!!! Don't come here unless you want to feel rushed. It was my first time coming to this salon. I scheduled an appointment got there five minutes early. I got dip powder on my natural nails. Diane was doing an amazing job on my nails paying attention to detail, until two girls came in with their dad. This is when she started rushing, and doing a sloppy job. The way she was aggressively handling my hands made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. She was in such a rush to get the next customer she didn't even notice she was cutting my fingers with the drill. She didn't do my cuticles and there was nail polish all over my fingers. When I asked her to clean them she said to "go home and wash your hands"??? I had to ask her twice before she made an effort to clean up her work. Absolutely Unprofessional!!! Andy is absolutely rude! I just recently moved to the area and had my nails done by a gentleman at this shop. One ended up breaking , so I called to make sure they had an opening to get it fixed . On the call, the man ask who did my nails And I told him I wasn't sure of his name. He proceeded to be aggressive while handling my nail and hand. Only a handful of reviews but the high rating is well-deserved, if you ask this third time pedicure veteran. My girlfriend had lived in Ahwatukee and suggested I join her for her monthly pedicure last November. Besides being a guy with 30 years of callous flesh buildup and toenail neglect hidden by my Triforce slip-ons that I did not want to expose to this gal I was trying to court (the scene from Dumb and Dumber playing in my head as we pulled into the parking lot the first time), my bigger concern was the simple expectation of sitting in a grungy strip mall salon (like those next to the discount pho restaurants I frequent) being worked on by a bunch of women criticizing my neglected hooves. None of the above at Presto (full disclosure: it IS in a strip mall space). Besides the acetone whiff when you walk in, the salon and the staff make for a very pleasant and inviting experience. The salon is bright and new and always seems clean. The staff is very friendly and, as others have mentioned, Tom the owner is a very nice guy and very respectful. Each time I have had a different pedicurist and they are all friendly and attentive. I see them engaged with customers who do like to talk a lot (I know my three experiences are a limited sample but this is usually fat old ladies) and pretty much just leaving alone the quieter ones (like myself) who just like to play with the chair's massage settings. Many others seems to think like me because they've always been busy and most of the customers talk to the staff like regulars. Back in my younger days I would visit them once a week either to get my eyebrows, feet or nails done. I went back so much because I simply love them and always have a blast talking to Tom. I left the valley for 4 years and when I came back they were my first stop! I was sure they'd forgotten who I was but once I walked in, their faces lit up! Best local pedicure place I've found so far. I will definitely come back! Everyone who worked there was so nice, and the girls have such a cute sense of style; I was loving their outfits. Only $24 for a pedicure that included regular polish, and also a calf massage with lotion and hot stones. I recently had ingrown toenails on both big toes and they were looking pretty rough from trying to fix that myself. The girl who helped me was not shy at all about fixing my nails and completely made them look normal again. My only complaint is that making an appointment didn't seem to matter. I made an appointment for 3 and one of us had to sit with feet in the water and wait while 2 of us got worked on first, which made us late for lunch. We also could not sit together even though there were only 2 other clients being worked on and 8 chairs. There was not enough dry time for the polish between layers because two hours later I tried on a pair of shoes and both big toes smeared. Just to give you an idea of how bad the service here is i'll have you know that I'm sitting in the pedicure chair as i type this review. I came in today on my break from work to kill some time, i called ahead and asked if they had the time for a walk in pedicure and for the pricing. The man on the other end of the phone informed me that they were $21 and that they could fit me in right now. Upon entering the establishment i was greeted very nicely by who i assumed to be the man who answered the phone, i told him i had just called and was directed toward the wall to pick a color. The woman who did my pedicure had me sit for all of 2 minutes before she brought me back to my chair. Here's where the issues start. I was barely able to soak in the luke warm water before she started sloppily scraping my toes, simply just tapping the tool on my last toes on each foot *as i type this she is open mouth coughing on my feet*, at this point i'm just assuming they're actually trying to get me to not come back because never in my life. my pedicure was so fast it took her longer to paint my toes than to do everything else prior and that's honestly only because i made her give me extra coats on the half assed polish job that she thought she was going to send me out of the door with. I genuinely feel as though these people did not want my business due to the piss poor service i was granted. I'd rather not fight with you during my appointment, my expectation is that you do it right the first time because that's what i'm paying you for and when there are no qualms and i enjoy the service i reward accordingly with a tip. It is downright rude to base the service you give someone on the assumption of whether or not they are going to tip you well. I am utterly disappointed with my time here and i will not be returning and i suggest that you think twice before giving them your business. and to whoever it was that did my nails, i bet you wish you would've seen my bmw before your forfeit you tip because no i wasn't "waiting on my ride to pick me up", i just like to be concise with my yelp reviews. read more

I love this place for pedicures. They have a menu with the prices and what each pedi packages includes with al a carte items below with prices, The staff is friendly and efficient. The salon is very clean. They ask tips be in cash, which is a hassle but I understand. Credit cards charge a percentage of amount which can cut into the profit of a small business. They didn't rush even as the place started to get busy. Great place, highly recommend. read more

I was in the Phoenix/Chandler area for work and got done a little early in the afternoon. My toes and nails had been begging for some attention for quite a while and since I had nothing else I needed to do right away, I decided to finally get my nails done! I checked Yelp and saw that this place had very good reviews so I headed on over. I got here early in the afternoon and was helped immediately. I got a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow/upper lip wax. The prices were pretty much right in line with what I expected but I was definitely pleasantly surprised at how well my nails came out. I don't THINK they're using a different top coat, but my toes and even my nails were pretty much completely dry by the time I left! She did do my pedicure before my nails, and then my wax after my nails, but at my normal salon in Virginia, I still make a point of sitting under the dryer for at least another 10 minutes, even when they follow the same order too. So I left without even sitting under the dryer and everything was dry by the time I got back to my car. Again, not sure if it's the desert air or a miracle top coat, but I was very happy with how everything turned out! If I ever come back out to this area and my nails are hurting again, I'm definitely coming back here! read more

My friend and I met up for a pedicure at this establishment. We live in different parts of the city and this was a halfway point. The place was really clean and all of the staff were very personable. The owner was very nice and asked for my name, and if I was from the area or familiar. The pedicure was fantastic, seemed a little short, but maybe I was having such a good time catching up on my friends news. I've been to Presto twice. First time I went with a friend for a full set design with gel. The woman who quoted service first started it would be $55 dollars, after I asked three times, "Just like the picture, right?"showing a picture on my phone to reference back to, and she confirmed, "Yes, 55 dollars." I wanted to make sure, because the design was simple, but was on every nail. After the technician did my ring fingers with the design, she started putting the polishes away. I was confused by this so I referenced back to the picture, and said I wanted all the nails with the design (four dots to every nail), and she called her pricer over to tell me it would be five more dollars. I said okay, and the technician finished a little sloppy, with smaller/bigger dots. I paid and left, and gave a five dollar tip. I noticed the base of the nail was thick with acrylic, and not smoothly finished. I had to go back soon for a fill because the growth looked extremely unnatural. I went back tonight for a fill with gel polish and a design. I was sat with a new tech. He was very nice and detailed. He told me it was his third day. Gel well done, with a double coat and filed perfectly. I know these will last me awhile. After he finished I was moved to another area for the design, the lady (pricer) wasn't able to do a mustache tip, so she wiped it off and had me move again to another tech who was having a hard time. She got it done in an hour, and it looked nice, but she seemed a bit annoyed that I had them re-do a couple sloppy ones. I figured the place charges enough to get the job done right. I was extremely happy with the end result, but before paying, the pricer told me it would be 2 extra dollars because she didn't realize it was a mustache, and not a bow tie. I responded with, "Seriously?" and she said, "Okay, no worries. I'll charge you the first price." I thought that was a little tacky to add on two dollars. I gave a ten dollar tip, making the total 52 dollars. Gel well done. I will come back to see the new tech who did my fills and gel, but am not sure this is the place for a design, if you want it done right. read more
