My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.

Pat and his crew are a little more expensive up front, but remember: cheap things aren't good and good things aren't cheap. The communication prior to the move from Joe was proactive and clear so I knew exactly what to expect. Jose and his team arrived on time and I loved the text message telling me when they were en route. They packed up my apartment so quickly and they were also careful, making sure to pack everything well. Even with stairs, they unpacked at my new location very fast and even made sure we were happy with where everything was placed. Jose was easy to talk to and very professional about making sure we had a good experience. The team also worked quickly and finished the job in under the 6 hours quoted. With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.
