My experience with adt has been terrible. Each month the bill has gone higher and higher. I paid for a premier service (60 days of 24 hour monitoring), but I only got 3 hours of 24 hour past monitoring. When I called to find out why I wasn't getting longer monitoring, I was told I had to pay more. I was already paying for it. A person can't get anywhere with this mainly AI company. Trying to cancel my service when my contract was up.was the .ost frustrating situation I have ever encountered, five calls and over 3 hours of going round and round. They just wouldn't listen to me. This company owes .e money for service that I paid for but didn't receive. I can get the same service for half the price and talk to a human through AAA. Do use adt. Rip off company. read more

I'm not here to rate you 1 star, but unfortunately I have to select a star. -------- This review is in regards to their customer service / sales rep Chris Castro out of the Sacramento Office. I was a former ADT customer. I recently bought another house and apparently that information pops on up on Redfin that alerts all of these security companies that a house has been sold, so like every sales reps, they pop at your door trying to sale something.... Chris Castro approached my home while I was having a meeting with my contractor for renovations to be done. Chris seems like a nice a guy (at that time)... First I got a voicemail. I didn't return his call. Then I started getting text messages from him about needing to sign up. I didn't return his text messages. First and foremost, I never gave Chris permission to text me. I don't respond to text messages unless you are immediate family and friends and he is neither one of those. On 08/31/2022 after getting off of a sixteen hour shift, I get the following message from Chris Castro: "Fine whatever this is the Last day of promo why don't you show some RESPECT and answer people!!!!! Absolute BS. Go pay full price I don't care your house is blocked out of the ADT system now. I've been here 15 yrs I don't deserve this shit." I do not care about how long he's been at a job. I've never given him permission to text me. If you've been at job for 15 years as a sales representative, you know you lose potential customers, also I would expect that you would have better communication skills with potential customers. On 09/01/2022 I called the Sacramento regional office to file a complaint in regards to the multiple text messages from Chris Castro and his unprofessionalism. I was transferred around. Finally someone said they will take down the information and let the Sacramento office know. I asked if I will get a call back regarding this and I was told no that no one will contact me. I get off of work and received another text message from Chris Castro. I'm sure this is the office that Chris Castro works for, as I've received a voicemail left from another employee whose name has been mentioned in some of these reviews as a technician. I used to think ADT was a really good security company for home security. Seems like they hire psychopath employees and have no care for their clients. read more

My honest review here. Both Miguel and Antonio were great. Part 1) The Sales Rep. I was surprised that Miguel would even go extra miles to respond to my inquiry after normal business hours. No pressure on up selling. Straight forward and it is done. I didn't have to dance around with what I need. I love it. Part 2) Installation Tech. I would give him 10 stars if I can. Antonio showed up within my installation schedule. He called 30 minutes before arrival. After a quick look around, and some suggestions exchanged, I finally locked on the device placement. Lucky enough, he found & traced the hidden wire from the previous alarm system in the business building. Therefore, there was no ugly exposed wire mounted on the wall. Lovely! They are a scam. Those who work there do not know how read a contract. I will be reporting them and possibly taking them to court. They are trying to make me pay for the equipment saying that I'm basically financing it wasn't free when the contract says $0. I've had a lawyer look over the contract and every corporate has told us they will be reporting this authorize dealer. ADT requires you to first sign extremely lengthy contracts. That is problem number one. Secondly, shortly after signing a contract with ADT our security system stopped working. I called ADT and set up and appointment for someone to come out and fix the issue. I was told I would have to take work off and wait for a service person to come out between the hours of 9am-4:30pm. I did so and upon that day I waited all day only to get a phone call at 4pm, 30 minutes before the window they had given me was over, at which point I was told a service member would be unable to make it to my home that day. This has been the sort of complicated experience I have gone through with ADT security. I called to cancel today after my contract was finished and I was asked 8 times if I was sure I wanted to cancel. Yes, I'm sure. I was then asked to verify my account information. I could not remember the pin for the account (my bad) and was told there is no way to verify over the phone that I am who I say I am. So I was asked to fill out a paper and email a photograph attachment of that paper with my signature so that they can verify that my signature matches my account. Let's hope it's to their standards. Next step is contacting my bank and letting them know ADT is no longer verified to take money from my account. I hate how they companies make it so easy to TAKE money from you but impossible for you to gracefully exit once your contract is finished. read more

Man these guys are so good! I've only needed their help twice - once for the install, and once because I changed internet providers and I needed to change my alarm system a little bit. But both times I called they bent over backwards to make sure I had everything I needed. And they call back to make sure I'm satisfied. I have worked with a sales person, the owner and a couple of technicians and they have all been so personable. The techs were on time and very clean and neat with their work area. Every person I have dealt with has been professional and polite as well. I would recommend Safe Security Solutions to anybody. Oh - my parents went to them for their alarm system as well! The great thing about going through this company rather than ADT Corporate is that they are local. I called the corporate office first this time because the number was easily accessible - they couldn't get me in until next week and they gave me a FIVE HOUR WINDOW to wait for their service. My husband and I signed up for ADT as we wanted the ring door bell and the security cameras. The price was good as other mom and pop security companies wanted to charge double if not triple. There were a couple issues with the front camera and their tech guy Ramon responded quickly and came up with fantastic solutions to solve the problem. Ramon went above and beyond when fixing the issue. Tammy and Miguel were also great at responding to my questions about the system and following through. I gave 4 stars because my neighbor referral wasn't used so that I could get one month free which was stipulated when I got the system. My neighbor signed up for ADT after seeing my system and shortly thereafter had the ring door bell and monitoring system installed. Therefore, this part of the deal was not followed through, otherwise installation went smooth with Ramon and will be using him again in the future! read more

Scheduled a date for installation of outdoor security camera. Showed up at house for installation without a camera to install. Rescheduled installation. On new date for installation, called to advise he would be showing up "somewhere around 3:00 p.m.". Showed up at 4:30. Installed camera, but had virtually no pertinent information on the camera he installed. I had made it abundantly clear from my first call to the company , to my interaction with my installer and subsequent calls to same, that I did not want a camera where I had a monthly fee attached since I am retired and on fixed income. On Initial installation the camera only took only one shot of top of person's head. No facial shots whatsoever. Called to advise them of problem. They said I would need to get monthly monitoring fee of $6.00 per month to get this. Ordered monitoring only to learn that camera would sometimes tape activity and sometimes wouldn't. Last contact with Safe Security systems I was advised that I would need to get the $12.00 a month monitoring fee to capture all activity on camera. Was also told they had done me a "big favor" when they installed my camera. I pointed out they had been more than adequately reimbursed. read more

Very unhappy with this company. I have been with ADT for many years, I became a customer when they were BRINKS. However, I am planning on finding a new company soon. With each name change the service diminishes. They give you false information in order to make a sale. Once the system is installed and you are trying to make it work the way the have told you it would, they break the news that it doesn't work that way. Apparently we misunderstood the technician or the technician wasn't aware it wouldn't work as we expected. The cameras we purchased are always off line. When they send someone to repair them they work for a short period of time then go off line again. Complete waste of money. read more
