I am always greeted warmly by the volunteers, and strike up genuine conversations each trip. The shelves are abundant but still well-organized, offering everything from home decor to utilities to crafting supplies. Prices are fair and affordable, which is so refreshing amidst the overcharging of big corporations. I appreciate this especially as a college student on a budget. And every purchase I make goes toward the most precious animals! I visit them frequently, too. :) I'm so excited for the opportunities that their relocation and expansion will bring; I can't wait to swing by the animal corner at the front once it's been developed!

There's an eclectic mix of stuff. Prices can be just OK or totally super value. I always have to make sure I have a wad of cash if I go in because it's a rare day that I leave empty handed. Fun dishes, kitchen implements, groovy clothes, hats, random bits of hardware, and who even knows WHAT you'll find. Sometimes I just have to leave things I want because I already have enough stuff. But wow. Just wow. Then there's the staff. Is it OK to call them staff? They are volunteers. They do their work because they love the Humane Society. You know what? That's awesome too! Their revenue goes to the local Humane Society and provides over a quarter of the Humane Society's annual budget. That's huge. The staff is also friendly and helpful. I better get on down there; it's been a couple days!

You know where the money you spend is going and feel good about it. The best treasures to hunt for here are clothes and shoes. If you're a clothes hound, this is the place for you. There are large selections, things are easy to find, and everything is very reasonably priced. Men, women, boys, girls . . . equal representation for all! If you're more of the collector type, there is also a nice-sized housewares section with lots of fun knick-knacks. My favorite thing about visiting here is that I don't have to spend lots of time searching for things. The store is incredibly tidy and if I'm looking for anything specific, the workers are extremely helpful. I will be sure to stop by every time I am in the area . . . 5 stars well-deserved!

After the move, it's like they just gave up on attracting or keeping their customers. The store looks nice, and it's in a nice spot but that's about all they have going for them. There's a little bit of everything in this place, which isn't huge and overwhelming, like some antique stores with multiple levels of junk. This was fairly small but packed in a lot of interesting things in the space they had. I ended up buying a vintage whiskey bottle from 1973 of a Condor--perfect for my unique collection of items I keep on or around my desk. Next time I'm in Albany, I'll pay them another visit to see what new treasures they've acquired.

It is getting towards the Holidays, and vintage Christmas decorations were out in force. There are treasures to be found, but vendors know their goods, and prices $$$ can reflect that. We found some amazing finds for our vintage Christmas collection, but there were definitely items out of reach that we just couldn't justify. Definitely worth a browse if you are a fan of vintage!
