I had my windshield replaced at my home only to be told he couldn't do the calibration and I'd have to go to the shop (which is 40 miles away ) if I'd known that I would have used a local company .So I'm without safety feature sfor 2 weeks until I can get it into the shop they are booked up till then .The guy wanted me to sign a form I told him no the job wasn't complete and I wasn't paying until it was he told me that Safelite would send someone to my home to collect the money .I called the shop the phone just rang then hung up twice so I called customer service who helped me get an appt I asked to be put through to a Manager she did that phone just rang and hung up WORST CUSTOMER EVER .Once I get my safety features back in my car Inm never use Safelite again read more

The service I paid cash for was a chip repair. Safelite told me that the guaranteed the repair, or they would replace my windshield if the chip turned into a crack. Well, that is exactly what happened. When I returned to this location to have the crack addressed, they conveniently couldn't find any record of me having paid cash for a chip repair. I couldn't find my receipt so I was SOL. Looking back on this experience, I suspect the employee who did the chip repair for me picketed the cash I had paid. I can't think of another reason that there would be no record of me having gotten a repair done Edit: regardless of what the warranty on the chip repair was, you cannot actualize that if the business gaslights you about having serviced the vehicle in the first place. If you want business, make it easy to book online or find a phone number to call! Would not allow me to book online without selecting a payment option. First option was 4 payments totaling $279 and increased if payments are extended. Finally found a number only to be quoted the same if paid in cash. When I tried to schedule they said no mobile service in my area because it is difficult to install my windshield. BS! It is a basic window, no sensors or extras that would be a challenge. Said take to this other main shop on Jefferson and they will try one more time. Requested service for a windshield repair in Los Lunas. Selected the installation window from 8 until noon. By 11:30 I still had not received a text or phone call. I called Safelite and after battling their AI assistant, I was sent to a real person. They tried to get a hold of the technician and could not. The customer service rep called their shop. They said their technician had tried to contact me multiple times but could not so they left. I told them I had received no call, text or email and that the cell service in Los Lunas was unreliable. She made a note to have the technician speak to our front desk to let them know they were here and sent the technician back out. Three hours later I called them back after still not hearing from them. The customer service rep again told me the technician could not reach me and so they had returned to Albuquerque and that I would need to reschedule. She said she saw the note for the technician from the previous call and that the technician would be able to see it as well. I asked why they would not send anyone else out as there were still several hours left in the day. She replied that she didn't know but I would need to reschedule. I asked her to cancel my order and I will be finding a more reliable and professional company to do the work. I strongly advise anyone reading this to find a different company. I love this company! I commute so my windshield gets dinged frequently & they've done 3 replacements for me. They schedule quickly & take care of insurance filing. Out of pocket has always been zero. I paid for it myself the first time as I didn't realize it was covered by insurance but the price is very reasonable & I even have a foreign car which is no longer made and the windshield has all the bells & whistles. I never have to wait for them to special order it. They are quick, efficient and will come to where you are. The techs have always been very pleasant and I've been comfortable with them at my home. Had a crack in the windshield start to increase in size - longer than the length of a dollar bill. I felt the service was great, and the staff were friendly. They were even able to transfer a toll sticker from the other window onto my new window. Based on age of the sticker on the window, not all toll stickers can be transferred. Overall, I was very happy with the service. While in the waiting room, I witnessed a very rude man come in 20 mins. late and complain to the staff. The staff kept their cool and were respectful and nice. The man stormed out after yelling and totally being out of line. read more

I was a little put off by the 3.5 rating but used Safelite (Albuquerque) because I had used them one time before and was satisfied with their mobile service. Well. First off, I booked my appointment from their website. They were super fast in confirming my appointment and handling the insurance claim details. They followed up with text and a phone call confirming my appointment and letting me know the technician would notify me when he was on his way. The technician arrived well within the time window. As soon as he arrived there were more text messages informing me that work was about to begin. Not only did the technician, George Coates (he left his business card in case I needed any follow up work), do an excellent courteous and professional job replacing the windshield, he vacuumed the car and cleaned every window cleaner then they have been since I bought the car. No greeting, no smile, nothing friendly, one word answers to my inquiries, and an all around butt! Miranda should take take lessons from her co-workers as they were nice but busy with other customers. I drew the short straw by having to be the recipient of her rude behavior and candid I professionalism. Based on that one experience, I won't ever go back and if needed, I find a different location. Advertising says Safelight works with the customer. Reality is you have to schedule an appointment to drop off your vehicle but that's not an appointment to get yout glass. It took them 8 hours to get my vehicle done. And they didn't communicate at all - I had to call them (their national line, who actually called and talked to them) at closing time to find out what was going on. That said, the local folks were polite and honest about the horrid scheduling policy and they seem to have done a good job replacing my windshield. read more

I am so thrilled with Safelite. I came across them because they are the preferred vendor of my insurance. On Friday my husband called to say that the windshield of our 3 month old truck was cracked completely horizontally from a large rock thrown from the tire of a semi truck on the interstate. Here we are on Saturday afternoon and Safelite is replacing our windshield in our driveway at our house for less than the cost of our deductible so our insurance won't even go up! The service has been spectacular. Yes, they give you a 5 hour window of when they expect to arrive for the repair. But the actual service technician called to let me know a window of an hour of when he could be there once his day was figured out. They also had really friendly email reminders and answered all of our questions. They took a stressful situation and made it a really smooth process. read more

I need someone from this branch (6644 Caminito Coors NW 87120) to call me ASAP. My name is Jonathan and I brought a 2006 Altima in that was damaged at this shop. They do not have a direct contact number and won't even answer the corporate office half the time. Multiple occasions I have had to wait while someone from corporate tries to contact them. They damaged the paint all along the top of my car and also damaged trim pieces. It then took them around 2 months to replace said pieces and now I'm driving and they pop right up again due to incorrect install. The first time the technician Nick tried to glue on my trim pieces and now when he comes back to replace my parts he didn't even replace the clips to hold it down. As I'm driving down the road and hit a bump this piece pops completely off the top off my roof. Absolutely ridiculous and also they still haven't returned my calls about fixing my paint that they screwed up. If you are reading this DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. I will be contacting BBB soon if these issues are not taken care of. read more

I had a good experience until a piece of the moulding flew on the freeway a couple weeks later! This caused a big headache due to the loud noise and trying to get it replaced. My Honda Pilot took a random bullet while I was shopping in the Costco on Eubank. My insurance company recommended Safelite. I made an appointment, got a confirmation email and text. I got there early. When it came time for my appointment, I checked in. After waiting about a half hour, I was told they had sent the wrong glass and I'd have to reschedule. So I recheduled for a week later, again got confirmation, again got there and was told they didn't have the correct glass. There was no management there at all! They said they'd try to find the glass and call me. They never called back. It is a fifty mile round trip for me to go to Safelite. Never again!
