They did the job of replacing my front windshield glass accurately and quickly. The fix worked and I very much appreciate it. Staff were friendly and professional. The waiting room is small and the bathroom may or may not work (sign said it didn't but staff seemed to be using it). That's not a huge issue though, it's sufficient. They did remove a garage transponder that I need for work and didn't replace it until I tracked them down and then they gave it back to me. If I hadn't noticed, I'd have been unable to get into the office garage when I returned there during the week. But once I asked for it, they gave it to me quickly. Would recommend, just be careful you have all the stickers you need. read more

Took my sports car in to get a windshield replaced and they added 20+ miles on the car, burned through a half of tank of gas. When I dropped the car off it had 169 miles left in the tank... and when I picked it up it had less than 50 left. The tech must have been driving very irresponsibly to burn through THAT much gas in 20 miles. They didn't warn me or tell me my car would be driven. I called dealerships and they said my car doesn't even have to be driven to be recalibrated so for all I know they took it on a joyride. Would not recommend. read more

This place is significantly better than it's low star rating. Let me be explicit -- this place will 100% solve your auto glass needs. Windshields or side windows cracked or replaced? They've got you, no questions asked. I brought my vehicle here after making a reservation online 2 days prior. I parked in their parking lot, checked in, validated my contact info-- and I was on my way. Less than 2 hours later, they contacted me to let me know my car was ready. I returned, checked out with the front desk, and I was on my way with a pristine wind shield. There have been 2 major rain storms between my service and the time of this review and there are 0 issues with my new windshield. If you're coming here expecting hotel valet service, you need to re-evaluate your decision making. This is a service center, not a Michelin starred restaurant. 10/10 would do it again. read more

The staff is fantastic but the sales material in the store they will not honor the pricing on. It states in store the price of wiper blades at $19.99 but when I mentioned the ad and showed them the picture of what they had In store they would not honor that price. I am disappointed as it's against the law to offer a product price in store and then not honor it. "False advertising is described as the crime or misconduct of publishing, transmitting, or otherwise publicly circulating an advertisement containing a false, misleading, or deceptive statement, made intentionally or recklessly to promote the sale of property, goods, or services to the public." I had a great experience here. Albeit, for a simple wind shield chip. I was referred here by my insurance. The whole process couldn't be easier. It took me all of two mins to make the appointment through my Geico app. They had all my info and paper work when I showed up. I should add that I called the customer service to try and change my appointment-- they ended up booking me from another location to here. Shockingly, there were no mixups w the paperwork or confused looks when I showed up at this store. I was in and out in 20 mins on a packed Saturday afternoon. I've had chips sealed before. This looks as good as any other job I've had done. In additions to this, everyone I dealt with was super polite and courteous. And the waiting room had REALLY comfy chairs. read more

One of the worst service experiences ever. I have now gone in for 2 appointments where they didn't have what they needed to fix my windshield. Neither time did they call me to let me know in advance. The first time they told me the molding wasn't in - and not so much as an apology. The second time they told me they had sent the windshield back the day before my appointment (by accident). This time I did get an apology, as well as a promise that I would get a call to reschedule for a third try. So far no call. I will certainly let Geico know as well as anyone else I can. read more

After the front windshield of my Toyota Highlander was cracked by a car wash (unbelievable!) my insurance agent recommended I bring it here to be replaced. I was a bit disconcerted by having to make the appointment on line rather than talking to the shop, but when I requested OEM glass per my insurance agent's recommendation I was required to clear that with a human at Safelite HQ. She arranged the appointment and within two days the windshield was expertly installed and safety features recalibrated. And Breanna, the installation tech, was able to transfer the state inspection and city tax stickers to the new windshield. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! I should have read the reviews first. After getting a crack on my windshield, I scheduled service for Saturday morning. I received a window of 7a-12p. At 8:30a I received a call that the windshield they received was damaged and they needed to reschedule. I rearranged my work schedule to be available on Monday morning and the manager assured me that the technician would be at my house at 7:30a. On Monday, 7:30a came and went, no technician. I tried calling the office which didn't open until 8a. When I finally got in touch with someone, they couldn't get in touch with the tech. Lots of back and forth for the next several hours, at noon the manager told me he was working a solution and would call me back. He never did. I even went to their corporate line to ask for help; no results. I was never contact again by this company to follow up on their miserable performance. I went to Craftsman Auto Care in McLean that Friday, smoothest appointment and similar price to Safelite - recommend taking your business there. read more

Very pleased with the service I received at Safelite AutoGlass's Arlington Va. location on Washington Blvd. A rock cracked my windshield on a Saturday afternoon; my Insurance Co. transferred me over to the Arlington location, scheduled an appointment for Monday morning at 8:00 am. Arrived at 8, door was already open. Technician who greeted me explained they would make structural repair to glass and it would take 30 - 40 minutes. Do not trust the brand name on this one. had a small crack in windshield from rock and finally wanted to get It fixed. Safelite said they needed to install a whole new windshield so I scheduled the appointment. As a result of the installation, a persitent squeaking/cranking noise now comes from the seam between the windhshield and dashboard. I rescheduled an appointment with this location and the technician really said to me that they "didn't hear anything"? when I went to pick up my car I challenged them about It and then they changed it and said that the noise is not the result of the windshield. I continued to explain this only happened after the installation so they scheduled me for a warranty full replacement for the windshield again. I ask to be scheduled for 2-3pm as that works best with my schedule but the service staff insisted I schedule for 8am because they want to get their hands on It right away to start the day. Naturally, I arrive at 8am to location still closed and not a single employee in sight. I waited 15-20 minutes and finally gave up. They didn't even open on time! Rescheduled my appointment with another Safelite in the area hoping they can fix my car. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

I contacted them on Monday, they made an appointment for Wednesday, on Wednesday morning they called to say they didn't have my glass in inventory and they could come on Saturday. Saturday morning came and the tech showed up and said that he didn't have the molding that went around the glass! He said he'd check inventory and call me back in 30 min to let me know when he could come back. He never called or came back. I called the Tech (Juan) and he never called me back. 5 days wasted that I couldn't drive my car! I called another company and they came out in 2 HOURS on the SAME DAY and fixed it perfectly and they had a roll of UNIVERSAL MOLDING that was a standard part of their installation. I WOULD NEVER USE SAFELITE AND WILL TELL ANYONE WHO ASKS TO AVOID THEM and their unprofessional lack of consideration and service. read more

They had my car for over 8 hours without any work being done to replace my cracked windshield. They said they would call me after 2 hours (when the work should have been done). Nothing after four hours. I had to contact them. The number listed leads to customer care. Even they couldn't contact the site. I was assured it would be done by 5:00pm. Nothing from the shop. NOTHING. If I hadn't gone there, I wouldn't have known they did nothing to fix the windshield. They said they couldn't fix it the next day either. Unacceptable. Unreliable. Rude and terrible service on behalf of the shop. I wasted time and lost money due to their negligence. I received a call at 11:04am saying the part had not arrived but waiting on the arrival and rescheduled me to 4:30pm saying that's his last appointment. While replacing my rear windshield the technician cracked a piece of the rear tailgate. They assured me they would order the part and replace it prior to requiring payment but never did. They also did not vacuum the car well and left broken glass. It is very difficult to get through to Customer Service so despite many phone calls, emails and coordination with insurance, the repair is still unresolved after a full year. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The positive: I originally scheduled a windshield replacement for March 15, 2022. I called the shop and asked if there were any earlier openings. I was told to come in at 2:00 pm on March 7. Thanks for accommodating me earlier. The negative: I dropped my car off at the shop on March 7 at 2:00pm as instructed and was told I would be contacted by phone once my car was ready. I walked around the neighborhood and returned to the shop about 45 minutes later because it looked like it would rain and I did not want to be caught in the rain. Willy asked if he could help me. I explained I already dropped my car off and was just waiting. He asked which car I was waiting on. After I gave him the information requested, Willy informed me he tried calling me "every 5 minutes, but I kept getting sidetracked." He informed me the warehouse did not send my windshield to the shop, so my windshield could not be replaced that day. Willy assured me my car would be taken care of the next day, March 8th, as they receive their windshields "very early in the day" and my windshield would be arriving the next day. He also assured me I would be contacted when my windshield arrived and I would be accommodated that day. On March 8 I thought to be proactive and call the shop to make sure my windshield arrived and I didn't fall through the cracks and be forgotten. I started calling at 8:30 am, the shop opens at 8:00am. I called and received a busy signal. I called back a few minutes later and nobody picked up. I called every few minutes or so, for a total of 15 times. My call was finally picked up at 10:31am. In a span of 2 hours and 1 minute, I called 15 times and received 2 busy signals and 12 no-answers. Once I finally got through to speak to someone, I was told I could not be accommodated that day because they didn't have the molding. I was told to return on March 9th and everything would be in stock then. The issues in summary: 1: They never called me to tell me they didn't have the windshield in the shop. How long should I have waited before returning to the shop and inquiring about the status of my car? 2: Once they got the windshield in the shop, I was never contacted. Again, I had to contact the shop myself. 3: I had to call 15 times over a span of 2 hours because nobody would pick up the phone. 4: The shop could not accommodate me when they assured me because they were unprepared and did not have the proper molding in stock. This is unacceptable and Safelite Arlington is a fraud. read more

Absolutely livid about my experience! Setup front window replacement Monday after a break in, and soonest appointment they had was Saturday. I clearly expressed they must order window from BMW, which only takes two days. Wednesday (today), they call and tell me the window is on back order for two weeks, and after getting the run around, I learn they: 1. Waited to order the window, 2. Ordered the window from a vendor instead of BMW, despite the fact the window must come from BMW either way, it's not back ordered with BMW at all, and would arrive in two days to anyone else who just ordered it from them! So, I called a shop who could do it sooner than Safellite, but since I lost four days screwing around with Safellite, although BMW will have the part in two days, I received the info so late that I have to wait to get my vehicle repaired elsewhere next Monday, since it cannot be ordered until Tomorrow now! It's ridiculous they would wait so long to order and notify me, as well as the fact the didn't just order directly from BMW, being extremely inconsiderate of my time and the urgency of the situation. #UNPROFESSIONAL read more

Took the day off of work to wait for them, only to be cancelled on at 3p.m. Customer service was poor, late notice, wasted my time for a late cancellation. Don't use this "outpost location". Had my windshield replaced OMG! There is no manage/supervision available onsite to resolve issues or correct/address errors. If you have a quote special this location cancels it and creates a new ticket which voids any online specials. My price increased by $100+ until I got Corp office involved(fyi the staff gave me a number that no living person answers) BBB gave me the Corp office number. These guys are very shady. The work was botched the original trimming are missing pieces and not sealed or matched up in other places. The windshield wipers they charged 29.99($60) each to replace - didn't clear my view enough to drive in the rain - I had to get those replaced the next day at Costco, at my expense. I eventually got everything set right at the dealership, at my expense. Long and costly story - in short avoid this location and need I say company as well. Service is horrible. Had to come back twice. And a customer talking to me said that was her 4th time back due to slowness and inability of them to finish the job at one appt. Also they put in a non manufacturer's windshield for my car. My windshield needed replaced so I signed up online with the specs so the appropriate windshield was in stock. My appoint was for 11am on Saturday and I dropped it off at 9:30. I had to call them twice to hear an update and no one answered or couldn't give me a time. At 5pm (they close at 6pm) they called me asking if they could hold the car until Monday and they would do it first thing. They said they had too many cars come in today and not enough workers. The thing is is that they should have told me at 9:30 when I dropped it off or the 3 times I tried calling that they wouldn't be done with it. Not an hour before they close on a Saturday night. I said I needed the car done today due to transportation issues on Monday. So they started my car and we're not done until 6:45pm without a notice or call. I was already there waiting to pick it up and they told me they couldn't finish it and I would need to come back again next week. The service they use for the calibrations closes early on Saturday and they needed to wait. They should have known this by now and called me at noon when the service place closes and told me my car would not be finished today. I could have gladly picked up my car at noon and dropped it off another day vs waiting around all day for it to finish. I had to come back the following Saturday for what they said would be a "30 minute fix for calibration". I got there right when it opened at 8am and was there for just short of 2 HOURS. Ridiculous. Excuse after excuse was made that they needed to charge the wifi adapter and then my car was next and then it would be another 30. It was just painful all around and no sorry sir explanations at all. read more

The mechanic never showed up and customer service told me that they accidentally booked him for repairs on his off day. I called 40minutes before the FOUR HOUR repair time was up and customer service told me that they couldn't reach him but that he would get ahold of me with an ETA soon. However, when he still hadn't shown up 10 minutes after the repair time had passed I called again and they made me aware of the real issue. I took off work to get the windshield fixed, as my car is my main mode of transportation. This is absolutely horrible service and I cannot express my frustration enough. Great experience! After many years of abuse, my rearview mirror had popped off the windshield, taking some of the glass with it, and after my failed effort to jury-rig it only made things worse, the friendly mechanic Isaac and the other gentleman set me up very easy and out the door sooner than I'd expected. What makes the experience exceptional is how they helped fix my self-repair missteps, prevent me from needing to buy a new mirror altogether, which ended up saving me lots of hassle and time and money. The staff at this Safelite shop does a great job. Unfortunately, I've used their services several time. The work is done on time. If there is a problem, they'll fix it under warranty without any hassle. Modern, sensor-filled vehicles require extra skills. They have them at this shop. A bonus is they are close to the Ballston Metro. I'm not a fan of the Safelite webside and phone system. I had great problems reconfirming my appointment because their website kept freezing, a problem on several devices including their app. read more
