I had a crack that happened and spread Saturday afternoon and by Sunday it was fixed very well by Ian. He told me that due to the climate and moisture it wouldn't be a perfect job and that makes sense as it was snowing with cold temps. He was very responsive via phone and on a Sunday helped to schedule me in and have it taken care of. I had most places that would push me out a couple of days and maybe have me get a new windshield. The crack was bullseye crack a little smaller than a dime and spread about 8 inches. The quoted price was very fair and much less than the big shops. All in all I have a new expert for any auto glass issues. Gotta love Yelp! I called MGW and they said they'd have it tmro, but would charge me over the insurance payment to them to make their profit. I'm cheap AF, especially when I've been paying USAA for auto insurance my whole life to cover my windshields. I caved and agreed to pay, dropped the key in the drop box that night and picked it up the next day. Looked great! Much better than Safelites crappy work, especially because MGW insisted on it being done inside.

Achin's Garage in North Attleboro gave me Corey's info, so I called him. He picked up, I told him what I needed, and he pencilled me in for a few days later. Though I mentioned I'd be paying out of pocket, he told me a dedicated number I could call at my insurance carrier to get a claim processed and his work covered if I chose to go the claim route. I appreciated that. He's a friendly and thoughtful guy. We planned the windshield replacement for a Tuesday, but had to push it to the following day, for a very good reason: it was snowing. It's a mobile service, I park my car outside, and the moisture would have ruined the adhesion. I'd rather wait a day than drive around with a windshield that isn't 100% sealed. Corey let me know morning-of, as early as it was clear what the weather was like. Another good call. Anyway, Corey and his wingman showed up on-time the following day (Wednesday). They got right into it within about 2 minutes. The ETA was about 45 minutes, and the whole thing took 45 minutes or maybe a little less. There were no plot twists of any kind, and didn't need to come back out until the new windshield was in. The whole thing cost $253, parts & labor (again, I decided to pay out-of-pocket). That was at the low end of Corey's estimate over the phone, that's for a mobile windshield replacement, where they come to you. I expected to pay more, and I'd have paid more without grumbling. The new windshield is nice and invisible. Unlike the stready old one, I forget it's there. Corey & associate just did an excellent job, with old-school professionalism and zero hassle. I'd definitely hire The Glassman again.

He discovered both clips had broken. But the window wasn't. He was prepared and brought a window with him to replace ours. As it was, someone had put the wrong window into the right box. Then Austin did something we never would have expected, he traveled 45 miles to get the right one. He kept in touch, off and on. Within one day, he came back and installed it. He also went above and beyond, and cleaned the window. All of this only cost us $280.30. Glass Advantage didn't call us until the next day and quoted us $300 and something.
